“Haley was fantastic! She did an initial meet and greet prior to meet Checkers. During the stay she sent pictures of him sunbathing and snuggling up on the couch. She left the house in tip top shape and notified me when she arrived or left. Haley was super sweet in person and I will definitely be using her again in the future.”

“Katelyn was amazing with Caesar! I can tell he had an amazing time and she took great care of him. Our house and everything was in perfect order when we came back! Would definitely have her pet sit at our house in the future!!”

“Emma was amazing! She followed my very detailed instructions perfectly and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. She sent lots of pictures and updates, left my house spotless, and even noticed that my older dog seemed a little off. She let me know right away and kept a close eye on him, which I really appreciated. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about the pets she watches. I will absolutely use Emma again without a doubt. Highly recommend!”

“Kylie was so sweet, she took such good care of my girl and even took her out for a pup cup because she was seeming down. Very attentive sitter I would definitely have her sit gf again!!”

“Jacqueline was great with Harper and stayed with her for a week while we were on vacation. She gave me frequent updates and I was comfortable that Harper was well taken care of while we were gone!”

About: I have currently been working in veterinary medicine for 2 years in which I have been a veterinary assistant. I am currently also going to school to become a certified veterinary technician! I pride myself on specializing in puppy/kitten care and administering medication. I have also recently just retired from fostering for local shelters within the area in which I fostered over 15 adult animals and many litters of orphaned kittens and puppies. This has given me a great deal of confidence in caring for animals and experience with all age and medical ranges I currently work 4 days weekly at a local veterinary hospital. My schedule consists of 4 days from 8am to 5pm. With this being said, I make sure to provide pets their daily meals and be let out for potty breaks at a minimum of 3-4 times daily. This allows for pets to be comfortable with a schedule that has not changed. I also ensure that all of the pets needs are met before I retire for the night at 10pm. This will vary depending on the pet’s needs. I make sure that pets are fed the appropriate times and amounts asked for by their owners. Pets are also guaranteed 30 minutes to an hour of playtime/cuddles depending on what makes the pet most comfortable. Having your pet with a sitter can be very intimidating and stressful for the pet, therefore I make sure to only provide services they are okay with and not forcing my presence on the pet. Litter boxes will be changed daily as well as water changes. Walks can also be expected for each pet if needed to range from 30 mins to 1 hour. Pictures will also be sent to the client daily to ensure peace of mind as their pet is well taken care of.

About: I have 7 years of experience pet setting throughout Northern Kentucky & Cincinnati, caring for animals with different personalities, routines, and needs. I’ve cared for pets belonging to professional athletes, as well as senior pets who need a little extra attention and patience. I’m comfortable giving medications, managing multiple pets, following specific routines, and making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I make sure to keep owners updated with pictures and messages throughout their time away, so they always know how their pets are doing and can see they’re happy and comfortable. I truly treat every pet like my own and always make their care my top priority. I work during the day, but I have a flexible schedule outside of work and am happy to work with your schedule and your pet’s needs. I’m available for pet sitting on weekends when I’m not already booked, and I’m always happy to discuss your pet’s routine and find what works best for you. I’ll do my best to make the process easy and convenient while making sure your pet gets plenty of attention and care! I’m happy to follow their normal routines and any specific instructions you leave for me.

About: Hello my name is Tyler. I’m 40 yrs old and I love spending time with dogs. I have been a dog owner and have trained all my own dogs. Currently I’m unemployed due to having brain surgery at the end of 24’ and then the follow up treatments taking most of 25’. So I have lotsa time, attention, and love to give your pet(s). This is actually my attempt at getting back into the working world. Can’t imagine a much better way to ease back into work than to help some people out with their pet care needs. I have a park walking distance from my house that I can take dogs to run around and use the bathroom and I live in a good area for walks. I am well versed on typical dog etiquette in public around other people and animals. I have experience with all types of dogs large and small. I’m a big guy and can handle the larger breeds pretty well usually, but also caring for the little ones as well. I always prioritize the pet(s) health and safety first, and then having some fun second :). I would love to provide a safe and relaxing spot for your pet(s). Also FYI - for boardings if pickup on the last day is after noon I will ask for a day fee of $35. I’m currently unemployed due to brain surgery I had this time last year to remove a large cancerous tumor. Luckily I recovered beautifully and quickly and am still fully functional, minus a little extra forgetfulness but nothing bad at all. So I’m available all days of the week, and have all my time, attention and love to give your pet(s). I’m very experienced with dogs of all types large, small, u name it. I’m a big guy at 6’4” and about 225 lbs so I can handle em all. I’m also rather calm and quiet which I believe helps animals feel at ease around me. I’d take care of yours as if they were my own! :) I take as much precaution as I can with all animals certainly someone else’s. The animals safety and health are my number one concern when caring for someone’s loved pet(s).
About: I’ve had pets my entire life! I currently work at a dog daycare and have been there for about a year and a half which has been a great learning experience for different breeds! I’m currently working 2 part-time jobs, so my schedule may be a bit crazy for a short time but I am currently available 12:30-2:30 p.m. on weekdays and possibly some times on the weekend as well! I am very patient with all pets as I know they have different personalities. I will provide the safest environment possible for your furry friends. I do have one cat but she mainly keeps to herself.

“Leah was absolutely wonderful with my dogs! 🐾 She took great care of them while I was at work, and I felt completely comfortable knowing they were in good hands. She was reliable, attentive, and clearly really cares about my fur babies. My dogs were happy and well taken care of when I got home. I would definitely recommend Leah to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter, and I’ll absolutely be booking with her again! ❤️ Thank you Leah!☺️”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 1,142 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Lawrenceburg. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lawrenceburg walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lawrenceburg maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lawrenceburg choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lawrenceburg. On Rover:
- 98% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
