“We loved getting Ta-Miko’s updates and photos every day; they were detailed and personal and fun! Our cat has always been shy, but not with Ta-Miko. Athena warmed up to her right away. We would definitely book Ta-Miko’s pet care services again.”

“Amanda was wonderfully attentive to my cat. She managed to befriend her, which is an accomplishment few before her have managed! She was a wonderful caregiver to my grumpy old girl and I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again in the future!”

“Stevy did a great job with my pup. He enjoyed her company while I was away, and it was great to see him happy in the pictures that she sent. I highly recommend booking with Stevy.”
“Molly was so friendly and kind! She took extra good care of our babies and communicated thoroughly how they were doing after each visit. We will definitely be using her in the future!”

About: I've been dog, cat, and baby sitting since I was 12 years old (I'm 25 now). I guess I've always had a nurturing quality about me😄. I've grown up with many pets, (dogs, rabbit, turtle, hamsters, degus, etc...) and love to give them the best care, because they deserve it! Currently I have a 5 year old pup named Muffin. She is the sweetest girl in the world! Currently she's visiting my parents (her grand-pawrents🥹) who she loves sooo much. I miss her DEARLY but I will pour that love into your fur baby instead!❤️ My schedule is open at the moment, and I'm ready to care for your precious pups. I'm flexible with my time, and if you have specific care requests, so feel free to reach out with any questions/requests. I will put the safety of your pup first, in all situations. I don't crate pups, I don't let pups go up to others when on walks, or take them to dog parks (unless desired by owner). I keep the pup leashed at all times outside, unless otherwise stated by the owner. I have had no accidents while pet sitting, and do not intend to. You and your pups safety and happiness are my top priority. If your pup wants pets for an hour, I'll pet them for an hour, if they want to play fetch or other games, I'll do that! I just want to ensure your pup is well loved and cared for.
“Hanna is great and I will definitely be a repeat client! Our kitties were well taken care of, even though they are both picky and can be catty, Hanna kept them happy! We really appreciate the care and continuous updates and pics/vids of our kitties. I would give more stars if I could! 💕”

“Alyssa took amazing care of Gus! He really enjoyed seeing her every day, getting lots of play time and snuggles! She did everything perfectly and I will definitely rebook with her in the future! Great communication and photos!”

About: I have extensive experience caring for both cats and dogs of all sizes, breeds, and ages! I’m also comfortable administering medications and handling any accidents or messes that may happen. I look forward to giving your pets the same care and attention I’d give my own! Pet care fits well into my weekly schedule! I work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide reliable care. I’m available before and after work on Mondays and Thursdays (8:30 AM–5:00 PM), and on Tuesdays and Wednesdays I finish work at 12:30 PM, leaving the rest of the day available for walks, drop-in visits, or extended care. Current healthcare professional ready to assist others when things get busy, available when needed the most. I believe in cleanliness in the home as well. I have one cat that is fed twice daily, brushed once a day, and litter cleaned each evening. He is a senior cat needing a sensitive diet.
“Kayla noticed that one of my cats was struggling to finish their food during her visits, which resulted in my other cat trying to eat it. Her response to this dilemma was truly above and beyond: Kayla would hide the leftover food and make a second trip over later in the day (even though only one daily visit was requested) to make sure my cat ate the remaining food and didn't go hungry!”

“Brandy was responsive, caring and attentive. I applaud her efforts getting to know our cat. Her reports are genuine and detailed. We appreciate the love of animals she has that makes her such a responsible petsitter. We highly recommend requesting her for your next vacay.”

About: I LOVE dogs and cats! Growing up, my family always had big dogs and fluffy cats around the house; so throughout my life I have gained experience caring for puppies and kittens all the way up to seniors. I adore dogs of all sizes, but big dogs will always have a special place in my heart. We owned a Rottie/Lab mix, a Great Dane, an English Mastiff, Boxer, and various Doodle breeds. We also had 3 Ragdoll cats. I currently have 3 Domestic Short and Long haired cats of my own with my fiancé and I love them dearly; but I really miss having a dog around the house. Helping people care for pets on here seemed like the perfect way to help me hang with pups! I frequently assist my friends and family with pet sitting, dog walking, and caring for their animals while they are away. Outside of animals, I work for The Department of State as a Legal Assistant and sit for 8 hours a day at a desk. Taking a dog on a nice walk or having a play session with pets sounds like a very pleasant way for me spend my time after sitting in an office all day. I also love to read, cook/bake, do yoga, play video games, and play softball on my women’s community team! I’m currently working a full time office job from 7:30am to 4:00pm, so I can be available on weekdays any time after 4:30pm or early in the morning . I can be available anytime on weekends with enough notice to plan. As much as I would love to help people board their pets, I can’t given the size of my apartment. My home is just for me and my cats :)

About: I've been a pet owner for 30 plus years, to include cats and dogs. I have also done pet sitting many times for families in and around Camp Hill, PA. I am currently a proud momma of three amazing furry friends: a 14 year old cat, a 9 year old catahoula leopard doggies, and a very energetic 2 1/2 year old mini golden doodle. All of these animals are rescues. I am currently working a job that ends at 3:30 each week day, and am very flexible with my availability of time over the weekends. I am up very early each morning to let my two dogs out in our backyard, which is fenced in. I also administer medication to our cat at that time, along with feeding all of my pets. All of our pets have free range of our house, but our youngest dog can be crated at times when necessary. I also love taking both of our dogs for walks every night.
About: I’ve taken care of many pets including mine, family, and friends. I’ve watched all ages of dogs from puppies to senior dogs who need a little more attention! they’re all the loved the same and deserve nothing but the best care! I am currently working part time and have lots of extra time to spend with your pets! This is my favorite side job and I would love to meet you and your animal(s)! While watching your pets in your home I will follow all your rules! If any messes would be made, I always clean up. Schedules will be followed and I promise your pet will be in good hands and receive all the love!
“So grateful for Victoria's help in dropping in on my kitty while I was out of town! Not only was she so graciously able to take the booking on kind of late notice, but she's also clearly SO good with cats, as my notoriously shy boy was walking right up to meet her within minutes :) Great photos and thoughtful communications while I was away, and such a sweet note left for when I got back. I'd happily book Victoria again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lawnton
Sadie watched my cat for two weeks while I was out of the country. I had never used Rover before and was nervous about leaving him for that long since I've always been able to have family or close friends take care of him but Sadie did a wonderful job. He isn't a fan of strangers and usually hides but he really liked her. I would 100% book with Sadie again.

Ta-Miko was fantastic. I received daily updates and pictures which kept me informed. She went above and beyond by cleaning messes only cat owners can relate to. She took time to sit and read to my furry friend. I would highly recommend Ta-Mika as a reliable and responsible pet lover.
Tina has been a lifesaver! I've had to travel a lot lately because of family issues, and Tina has been available to come over with very little notice. Plus I worry about my Bella (probably too much at times) and Tina has gone above and beyond to care for my girl and put up with my worrying. You could tell she truly loves animals. I highly recommend Tina!

Victoria was fantastic in taking care of my kitty over the long weekend. She followed all of our procedures for feeding and checking on our cat. She also stayed long to play with the cat and make sure she was doing okay as my cat was feeling a bit under the weather. Victoria sent numerous photos daily and was very communicative. Would absolutely recommend her and will be rebooking if Victoria is good with that!

Heather is the best ever! Our Liam is a senior cat & is comforted by lots of love & affection when we are away. Heather makes sure he feels loved & contentment. She goes the extra mile…she genuinely cares about Liam & he knows it! I highly recommend Heather. We are blessed to know her!
I cannot recommend Shyann enough! I had to make a last-minute booking, and they completely exceeded my expectations. Even with the short notice, they insisted on doing a meet-and-greet to make sure my dog was comfortable and that all instructions were clear—a level of professionalism and care I truly didn't expect given the tight timeline. They are reliable, incredibly sweet with my pup, and provided fantastic updates. It is such a relief to find someone so dependable and accommodating. I will absolutely be booking again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
