“Kate was wonderful and Mr. Peanut settled in quite quickly with her AND her two own dogs. Peanut is very picky at who he likes and doesn't like. But he got along with the pack and as a doggie mom, that made me feel good. I will definitely use Kate again. As far as the Rover website, there looks to be some logistical issues. On my screen, it told me Kate was 82miles away, but a 30min drive. Please get that fixed. Rover for me was hard to use. I like simple. But Rover has all these twists and turns. For example, I was not allowed to just message sitters. I was forced to pick dates. I had been looking for a new babysitter for Mr. Peanut since we just moved, but Rover made me wait til I needed someone asap, which made my experience stressful. Not good. We should be able to meet and talk to these folks before we book. After all, we are parents, and we all should be allowed to interview these sitters much like we would if they were our human children. Thankfully Kate worked out. But it could have gone a lot smoother. Thanks Kate (and daughter!)”

“Sylvia was an incredible sitter! The moment my husband and I met her we knew she’d be great. She has such a lovely personality and you can tell how much she cares about animals. She made sure to keep us updated on how Trigger was doing and sending pictures, he looked so happy in all of them. When we picked him up, he was just happiest old pup. I most definitely recommend Sylvia to anyone that needs a sitter!”

“Kelly G was amazing with Luna. She made Luna feel like she was at home with us and Luna didn’t miss a beat while we were gone. She did a tremendous job with everything overall. I would recommend Kelly G to anyone and everyone who needs a dog sitter. She sent plenty of updates and pictures and made our first time using a dog sitter a great overall experience. Thanks Kelly G”

“Dory’s first stay with Micki went very well and Dory had a great time. We’re very pleased with the care that Micki provided and have booked Dory’s next stay with Micki. As pet parents, we are very comfortable leaving Dory with Micki and know that she will be safe, loved, and well cared for.”

“Jessica was great. She responded very quickly on very short notice. Felt very good dropping Leif off and Leif looked great picking him up. I would use this boarder again in the future.”

“Anmei was amazing with Lucas! She sent lots of pictures and videos, and he looked so happy the whole time. This was our first time being separated, and Anmei made it so easy and comforting. We’ll definitely be using her from now on. We highly recommend!!”

“Our dog Zoe had the best weekend ever with Julie and family! Julie is so sweet, accommodating, and dog loving! Julie exceeded all expectations by far!, met all of Zoe’s needs and she was available on very short notice! Julie took Zoe in so we could have a weekend at the beach with family and we are so grateful to her for giving our senior dog such a loving and positive experience in her home! Julie even provided updates! Julie gave us the best gift of all, which was true relaxation free of worry!!”

“Daniel and his wife did an exceptional job with my dog Bandit. I was so nervous, Bandit is 8.5 years old and had never been with anyone alone. He did phenomenal with him giving me updates and texts with photos. Made me feel at ease. I had just recently moved to the area and knew nobody had to be an away for a long weekend which required a need for Bandit to be in care. This was just what I was looking for. Very conveniently located also. Would recommend and plan to book again in the future.”

“Nittany had a great time. He must have been a busy pup because all he did on sunday was sleep. Jacqueline also sent me a picture of Nittany each day of the fun he was having. Thank you again!”

“Mary Sue was an incredible sitter for our two girls. One of our dogs is very anxious and she was very understanding of that. She sent updates multiple times per day about how the girls were doing, how they were adjusting, and what they did that day. Her house was so lovely and the girls really enjoyed porch time and socializing with the other small dogs. We were able to relax and enjoy our vacation because we knew our dogs were in good hands.”

“Jill watched Boz for us for an entire week while we were on vacation. She was responsive, communicative, and caring. She sent pictures every day which put my nervous mind at ease. She even accommodated our request when we added on an extra two days! This was our first experience with boarding, and we would 100% use Jill again”

“Let me start by saying we’ve never left our dogs overnight let alone with a total stranger. We left for 9 days and have 3 dogs and I was so nervous and had a thousand questions and accommodations I needed fulfilled. Samantha was absolutely incredible. If I could give 100 stars I would. My dogs were so loved and cared for the entire time they were in her care. The pictures I got each day were just filled with joy in each of my dogs faces. If I could afford to send them there for playtime everyday I definitely would!!! Two of my dogs had stomach issues on the 5th day or so and she made them chicken and rice and pumpkin for their meals until they felt better. She trimmed their nails. She washed their bedding. I mean what more could you ask for?! Do not hesitate in sending your animals with her. She is the best of the best! I will be sending my dogs to her house anytime we go out of town… worry free!!”

About: I have had dogs since I was a baby. I have cared for dogs of every stage of life, and I’m super passionate about senior dogs and small animals. Both my dogs are friendly with ferrets and other small animals, always supervised of course. I have experience in dogs, cats, ferrets, and all rodents. No experience with reptiles but I have read a lot about the husbandry of geckos and bearded dragons. Always willing to learn to have your pet be most comfortable in our home. I currently am a stay at home mom so I have plenty of extra time for animals. We (my boyfriend and I) already dedicate a huge portion of our time to our dogs so we would love to add more to the mix lol. My daughter (5yo) also loves animals and is learning the ropes of helping take care of them. We have a very big yard, and while it’s not fenced in there is still plenty of space to run on a lead! I can also help with potty training, pad training and lead training as well as socializing with our two very friendly goofy dogs.
“If you want your dog to be treated like a member of the family, book with Brenda! She took excellent care of my beagle mix Iris and her space is very comfortable for pups - lots of snuggly blankets and great yard for them to play. Thank you Brenda!!”

“My 2 girls were so happy with Sandee, i could not have asked for better care of my two spoilt pups! I am very grateful to Sandee for taking my girls for the afternoon, which freed us up to do the necessary things related to purchasing a home. I won't hesitate to go back to Sandee and trust her with my precious fur babies. Thank you Sandee!!!!”

Many sitters in DE ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
