About: I've been trusted to take care of others' pets and children since I was 12 years old. As a reliable, positive, and calm pet sitter, I will ensure your pet gets the love, care, and attention they deserve! I'm new to the area, but prior to moving, I was regularly asked to pet/house sit via word of mouth recommendations and repeat clients. Between my own dogs and cats and those I've sat for, I have experience with a variety of ages, from 8 weeks old to elderly, as well as a variety of breeds, needs, and social levels. I especially love working with puppies despite the amount of work they are; a simple repetitive routine of potty, eat, potty, play/train, potty, crate, makes a world of difference (trust me - I've learned the hard way). If you're a new puppy parent, I'd be thrilled to be a part of your pup's development! Growing up, I experienced the amazing love of three dogs and two cats (plus one hamster and countless fish) in my household. Now, as an adult, I'm a very proud dog mom to our almost-3-year-old Australian Shepherd named Ekko (short for Ekko-location Sly Rover Fantastic Bruce). We adopted him at 12 weeks old from an accidental litter, and he's added such joy and fulfillment to our lives. He might be my biggest pet resume boost. He is a wicked smart, high energy dude who requires a lot of structure and attention to thrive, and I wouldn't have it any other way. He gets daily training, puzzles, walks, crate time, scratches, and snuggles. As a full-time grad student with extra time on my hands, I would love to put that same amount of energy towards your furry friends - and if Ekko gets to benefit too by making a new friend, well that'd be the cherry on top! I'm a full-time grad student with a few evening classes a week. Outside of that, my schedule is flexible, and I'm available to care for your pet any time. I want your pet to feel calm and confident no matter where I'm caring for them. I'm always respectful of your pets routines and personality. Some pets are nonstop goofballs and some are shy and sleepy, so I give them as much space or play time as they'd like! With every service I provide, I would never make assumptions about your pet without your approval, from foods they can eat to places they can go. Trusting someone else with your pet is a big deal, and it can be nerve-wracking for your pet too! To ensure I'm a good fit for you and your pet, and in order to provide the best care possible, I will request a Meet and Greet before beginning service. About: I grew up on a farm and with numerous cats & dogs! Right now I have two cats of my own, but I’ve also had experience caring for other people’s dogs over the years:) I’m currently working part time and a full time student at American University. However, I really love animals and am more than happy to make time to care for them! I’ve had pets my whole life so I’m very adaptable to yours pets needs because I understand that they can vary greatly depending on the animals and their personality! :)

About: I adopted a Maltese poodle mix from a shelter when she was 10 years old and cared for her through her senior years, up to age 17. She came from a rough background and didn't trust anyone at first, so it took real patience to earn that trust. Over time I taught her commands, potty-trained her, and helped her feel safe again through her senior years. That experience taught me how much consistency and gentle patience matter for dogs who need extra support, especially seniors or pups recovering from a hard start. I believe animals show us what unconditional love looks like, and what it means to earn it. I would be so excited and honored to be a part of ensuring the happiness and well-being of you and your pup's lives! I am available anytime after 4:30pm Monday through Friday! On weekends and holidays I am usually more open/available so can definitely be more flexible! During walks, I'll bring extra water and a small bowl for your pup in case they need it. If you're able to provide potty bags, that's a big help — but if not, I'm happy to bring my own, no problem at all! I always maintain distance between your dog and any others we pass, since you can never predict another dog's temperament or reaction. Your dog's safety is my absolute top priority, and I want to make sure they feel comfortable and secure throughout the walk.

I’m available in the early mornings and afternoons/nights on weekdays and all day on weekends! Open to what time works best for you and your pet!
