“Great pet sitter! She came in for my big pup, Belle, on very short notice for the first meeting. Everything that needed to be done for Belle was done. No complaints! I highly recommend Taryn for dogsitting!”

“Gaby was amazing! She did EVERYTHING we asked and sent so many cute pictures of our little kitties! It made our day every time she did this and we're going to ask for HER SPECIFICALLY next time we need to go out of town. Thanks so much Gaby!”

“Paris was an awesome care taker of my fur babies! She is very thorough in her communication with us about her time with our babies. We enjoyed and loved all the pictures she took of them while in her care. We highly recommend Paris to dog sit. She is trustworthy and my babies love her!”

“Katie was absolutely wonderful! She watched our dogs, Nico and Nora, while we were on vacation, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She was always punctual, incredibly patient, kind, and genuinely loving with both of our dogs. She also made such a great impression during our meet-and-greet by being so sweet and patient with my little girl, which meant a lot to us. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our dogs were in such caring hands while we were away. Katie is truly a wonderful person, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate pet sitter!”

“Nicole was amazing with our puppy! We were very anxious dog moms and they did everything to calm our nerves! The pictures they took had us dying! Our puppy was clearly have the BEST time and was very comfortable with Nicole. Would highly recommend them!!”

“David helped me with a last-minute request for a drop-in visit. He's watched Sam multiple times, and that was comforting. Plus, David made the trip on a day when we were getting hit by a snowstorm. I'm grateful for his help and care with Sam.”

About: I started dog walking when I was 8 years old around my neighborhood. Since then I have had experience with training puppies, senior dog care, and even working with animals in a professional setting. I'm currently a stay at home mom so my schedule is flexible to fit your needs. I love walks at any time of day or night! I have a fenced in back yard and a dog park that is just a walk down the street. I have two dogs to keep your fur baby occupied while staying with me.
“Lauren was amazing! I felt so comfortable having her in my home. She gave me peace of mind that my cat was not alone and well taken care of while I was out of town working. Would recommend and use her again.”

“Chloe was super nice and accommodating when I had to make a change of plans last minute! 10/10 would recommend and she took super cute pictures to keep me updated as well!”

“Cassidy took such amazing care of our cat Blue while we were away for an extended period of time. He is normally hesitant and shy with strangers, but it was clear that he warmed up to her right away. She sent thoughtful updates and the best photos, and it was such a relief that I never had to worry once about how Blue was doing while we were gone. I would absolutely recommend her to any of my friends/family! ???”

About: I love to spend time with them , I like to play with them, I like to take them to the park. I will always keep them on a leash. I can teach them some tricks, sit , stay roll over. I can take them out every two hours, to go potty. I can keep them over night. I took care of a one eye cat, I took care of a blind dog. I have had dogs in diapers. I took care of a Yorkshire, who was pregnant, she went into labor at my house, and my mom and I delivered three little babies they came out every forty minutes. We help clean the babies, and my dog Chuckie helped to. Give them kisses, hugs.
“Janette was amazing, 10/10 recommend her! She accepted my last minute booking on a very busy weekend, communicating quickly and kindly to coordinate the drop-in. She did an amazing job of communicating before, during, & after the drop-in even when I wasn't able to promptly answer her. Janette even went above & beyond - going out on a limb to greet my very scared cats with treats!”

About: I’ve grown up in a house with 2 cats and 2 dogs my whole life and often house sit for my friends dogs. I’m used to big dogs and also high energy dogs being that I have one of each. I am mostly free during the week as being and only online college student where I work a part time job of only 2-3 days a week at most with it being pretty flexible I have a fenced in back yard with 2 friendly dogs that all love to play. Love talking the dogs out for walks and what not. I take my two everywhere I can with me.
“Jorinee was excellent with both of my cats. I am so glad I found her. I use to be concerned about who would look after my fur babies or even if I would be able to travel at all. My cats were very comfortable with her. They were relaxed, well fed and their litter box was clean. You can tell it was done on a consistent basis. I have another lengthy vacation for next year and will no doubt be requesting her. She is excellent and I would recommend her to anyone asking.”

Monica and Dan are truly the best. I can always be sure my cat gets the attention he needs when I’m out of town! They have great communication, are friendly, professional, and clearly care about all animals. I highly recommend using them for your pet sitting needs.
David was awesome with our pets! We have a 22 year old kitty that needed some special attention during the visits, and he took great care of her! This is our first time using this service so we were a little nervous but David's communication skills and personality on the first time meeting set those nerves a side! We will be using him in the future for sure!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lansing. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
