“Bronte looked after our cat Pacho for five days. We got photos and updates after each drop-in visit. It was clear Pacho loved her. Bronte is caring, communicative and trustworthy and I would without hesitation recommend her to other pet parents.”

“Meghan went above and beyond all my expectations! I was leaving for a trip, and our dog sitter called out sick. Meghan gladly accepted our Bubba at the last minute. She regularly checked in with us, showing where he had walked, how happy he was with his new companion, and, most importantly, that he always had company. She was very communicative and understanding of his needs as an old Bubba American Eskimo.I would highly recommend Meghan to anyone needing a care giver for their furry baby. Thank you so much Meghan you're truly the best!!”

“Brittany was so sweet and wonderful! She took care of our Golden while we were away and was so accommodating to our schedule. She is so great with dogs and we could tell immediately that our dog would be comfortable with her. She took him on long walks, played with him, and made sure he was happy while we were away. Thank you again! Would highly recommend Brittany to anyone in need of a dog sitter!”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is something I’m truly passionate about. Growing up, my family always had anywhere from three to five dogs at a time, which taught me from a young age how to love, care for, and be responsible for animals. Those experiences helped shape my deep appreciation for the companionship, trust, and joy that pets bring into our lives. As a dog mom myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. My dog, Tommy Lee, is my world and one of the most important parts of my life. Because I know how much she means to me, I understand how much your pet means to you. I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, ages, and personalities, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free environment where your pet feels comfortable, happy, and cared for while you’re away. When your pet is with me, they’ll be treated with the same love, attention, and care that I give Tommy every day🤎 Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I primarily work remotely, which allows me to be home and present with pets throughout most of the day. While I occasionally need to be on-site for work, about 90% of my schedule is remote, giving me plenty of flexibility to provide attention, companionship, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and lots of love. I also have a park right behind my home where Tommy Lee and I regularly go for walks, fresh air, and exercise, giving visiting pets plenty of opportunities for activity and enrichment during their stay. Because I spend so much time at home, your pet won’t be left alone for long periods and will have plenty of opportunities for interaction, exercise, and care. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and right at home while you’re away! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I provide a calm, loving home environment where pets are treated like family, not just guests. As a dog mom, I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care, and I take that responsibility seriously. My dog, Tommy Lee, is incredibly friendly, social, and loves both people and other animals. Because she shares our home, I do require that pets staying with us are friendly, well-socialized, and do not have a history of aggressive behavior toward people or other animals. This helps ensure a safe, comfortable, and stress-free experience for everyone. I work hard to create an environment where pets can relax, feel secure, and receive plenty of attention, affection, and care. Communication is also very important to me, so I’ll be happy to send regular photo and video updates throughout your pet’s stay. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel completely at ease from the moment they arrive until the moment they head home❣️
“Marby was on time, communicated throughout the visit, followed detailed instructions, and figured out how to feed my finicky pug when he wouldn’t eat. I’ll be working with her again.”

About: I’ve loved animals my whole life, growing up with three beloved dogs: Miley, a 120-pound Labrador; Scruffy, a rescued terrier mix; and Teddy, a feisty Shih Tzu. While they’ve since passed, my passion for animals continues. I regularly volunteer at shelters and have experience caring for family pets while their owners are away. As a full-time college student with a flexible schedule and ample free time, I can accommodate nearly any pet care needs. My dedication, reliability, and genuine love for animals set me apart from other sitters. As a full-time local college student, I usually have just one class a day, leaving me plenty of time for pet care. I’m happy to adjust my schedule to fit your pet’s needs, whether that means early mornings or late nights. When caring for pets in my clients’ homes, their safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow all provided instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, exercise routines, and medication needs if needed. I keep the environment clean, secure, and free from hazards to ensure your pet feels safe and at ease. I also prioritize building trust with pets by being patient, gentle, and attentive, helping them feel comfortable in their familiar surroundings. Regular updates with photos and messages let you know your furry friend is well cared for while you’re away!

“Jack is a great communicator and took excellent care of my pup! He accommodated my request on short notice, was prompt and I’d highly recommend him to anybody looking for pet care. I will definitely rebook him again.”

About: I’ve cared for pets my whole life, from a Shih Tzu who lived to 17, to my current husky, pomsky, and kitten. I know how to handle all ages and personalities, and I’ll treat your pets with the same love and care I give my own. I work full-time during the week, so weekends are when I get to soak up extra playtime with pets. Whether it’s long walks, fetch, or cuddle time, I love filling my weekends with wagging tails and happy paws. “At my home, pets enjoy plenty of play, walks, and attention right alongside my own. In a client’s home, I stick to their routine so pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.”

About: I’ve had pets my entire life and a cute dog for 16 years. I’ve also house-sit/baby-sit dogs, cats and chickens for family and friends. Happy I’m currently going to school full time so this would be perfect for me to do as a part time job and I’m able to work around my schedule. I understand the precautions to keep any dog or pet safe. If there’s anything that you’re worried just let me know and I’ll be more careful with whatever it is!
“Michelle was amazing! She sent daily updates of our kitty and took the time to cuddle with her while we were away- we’ll definitely think of Michelle next time we need a sitter!!”

About: With years of experience caring for my own dog, family dogs, and more recently a foster pup, I bring a calm, attentive, and compassionate approach to every pet in my care. I currently work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability to work around your pet’s needs. I’m able to accommodate regular walks, drop-ins, and extended care, and I’m happy to coordinate timing that works best for you and your pet. Safety and trust are my top priorities. I carefully follow care instructions, keep pets in secure environments, and stick to familiar routines. I move slowly with new pets to build trust and ensure they feel comfortable, calm, and supported in my care—at home or in a client’s space.
“Met Darla for the first time over Rover.com, but right off the bat, she seemed very responsible and dog loving that I had no doubt she’d take good care of our boys. She helped us on Drop In service twice a day to feed the dogs, give injections to one of them who is diabetic, and minor spot cleanings. She was very punctual and provided updates with photos in a timely manner throughout the entire 4 days we were gone. Overall she did an excellent job and would certainly recommend to other neighbors around for any petsitting needs. Thanks again, Darla!!!”
“We were so grateful to have Jennylyn take care of our cat while we were out of town. She responded to our messages promptly and kept us updated with regular photos and reports. Our cat can be quite sassy, mischievous, and not always friendliest, but Jennylyn was very patient and handled things wonderfully. We felt at easy knowing our cat was in great hands. We'd definitely book with Jennylyn again and recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter.”

About: I’ve had three dogs through my childhood/adulthood. I’ve had the same poodle since I was 10 years old (she’s 17 now!). Would love to help take care of your pups too and provide peace of mind while you’re away. I have a very flexible, remote job. Therefore, I am available any time/day of the week. I can drop in or house sit, whatever suits your needs I am open-minded when it comes to pet care and will carry out whatever pet routines you have in place. I’m open to multiple daily walks.

About: I’ve basically lived in a zoo since I was a child, ha! My family always had a variety of animals, including dogs and cats. I’m new to Rover, but have so much love for animals! I’m a doctoral graduate student, but on summer break! My availability is pretty open, and I’m always happy to spend time with fur babies! My dogs are completely spoiled! They’re family members and treated as such. Plenty of loving, belly rubs, and I’m a proud professional ear scritcher! They sleep inside (usually on top of me in some way). I walk them both daily, but it’s usually more like they walk me, ha! Also, my youngest has separation anxiety and my older dog is completely terrified of loud noises (fireworks, cars backfiring, etc.), so I’m also very patient with dogs that need a little bit of extra love and care.

About: I care for my elderly rescued bird, an elderly Yorkie, and have owned a mouse for 4 years past its life expectancy. My child hood dog, a miniature pinscher lived till 21 years old. I also grew up spending my summers at horse camp which taught me how to give an animal space and read their emotions: if they need water or attention for example. I recently quit my job to focus writing and being a full time student. I enjoy taking care of people's pets alongside my grandma at my grandparents house. Pets seem to feel right at home being apart of family breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, watching tv with us in the afternoons, and listening to music with us in the morning helping us with our daily chores of cooking, and cleaning. My grandma is retired and I also stay at the house and give 25/7 care for peoples pets. can provide unlimited walks, runs, outdoor and indoor play. You can trust me to give your pet space and attention when appropriate. I am okay with cameras on in the house if needed or any other precautionary measure that ensures my clients respect to their household and pets safety

About: Since loosing my sweet boxer last year to cancer, I am seeking more opportunities to spend time with and love on animals as if they were my own. For those needing a hand with a busy schedule, I would be grateful to help out with their fur buddies. As a lifelong animal lover I have experience with overnight stays and simple walks for family/friends pets as well, now hoping to expand horizons. I’ve taken care of the whole range from puppy potty training - animal aggressive dogs. I am currently a student at CSULB, during summer I have a very flexible schedule and also up until recently unemployed. My availability during the day is usually open and always open to move around. I am very comfortable with animals inside and outside the house. My pets have always slept inside on bed, although always end up on the couch. I do have a decent sized gated backyard with grassy areas. There is room for play as well as training essentials, crates, playpens etc.
Lakewood Village pet parents share their Rover experiences
Meghan stepped in at the last minute to care for our cat when our previous sitter had a medical emergency. We were on the East Coast when a Rover employee called & said that our sitter was hospitalized & that they were looking for an emergency replacement. We had a few options, but Meghan was the most responsive and had great reviews. We hadn't even met her, but we truly got lucky that she volunteered to step in. We look forward to meeting her in person the next time that we book through Rover, because we will definitely try to book her the next time we travel.

Jennifer was a fantastic sitter for my animals while I was on an extended vacation. Not only did she provide detailed descriptions for each visit and plenty of very well shot pictures, but she also brought in unexpected deliveries instead of leaving everything on the porch. I will definitely use her again!

Bronte took a last-minute booking to look after our cat Pacho, which we really appreciated. She had no issues handling his picky eating and daily routine. She is reliable, communicative, and clearly loves animals. We would recommend her without hesitation to other pet parents!

Joyce was an amazing caregiver for our cats! She sent plenty of pictures and I could tell from the meet-and-greet she was a good fit for us and our 2 cats. We lucked out that she was not only available with short notice but actually lives nearby! Will definitely rebook.

Michelle is amazing! My 15 year old pup has a lot of special needs, she wasn’t phased by my long list of all his needs which really put my mind at ease. She sent multiple pictures and updates throughout the visit and administered oral meds for me. As a dog mom who’s overly protective and anxious leaving my baby with others, I highly recommend Michelle!🩷

OMG! I cannot even BEGIN to say how GRATEFUL I AM to have Jessica watch my furbabies! This is my 1st time using Rover & I wasn't worried for one MINUTE that they weren't in the BEST CARE! She made sure my guy got his insulin shots on TIME & even THOUGH the Princessa didn't HONOR Jessica with her presence, she was still so happy to see me when I got home & was no worse for wear! I would recommend her to anyone looking for caring, responsible person to take care of your precious babies, Jessica is it! You won't regret it!
Andrea was very kind to take my request with very short notice. As soon as she agreed, she asked me how she could take care of for my babies. She was informative and sent pictures of my babies. And the last visit that I canceled, she was kind enough to tell me I would not get charged, since I came back from my vacation earlier than I planned. Overall, she did great and made sure my babies were taken care of. I would totally book again next time I take a vacation, if she’s available.

I wanted to tip more but the app limited me? Brionna did a great job and she really helped out by picking up a few more days when I was stuck in Barbados airport with all flights canceled for 3days! Crazy East Coast weather! I recommend using her services as she is professional and thorough. Thank you Brionna!
