1. Ashley G.
“Phenomenal job! Ashley is very attentive and will provide the best care possible!”
2. Emily H.
“Emily is a very caring and intuitive pet caregiver. I have known her for a couple of years now and she has worked with my dogs and cat and done a great job. My two dogs are both very high-energy, intelligent mutts that each have some behavioral issues. One of them has separation anxiety and Emily has consistently worked with her and has been able to calm her down, sometimes better than we can. The other one is very temperamental and she has also been able to get him to stop growling and behave each time she is at our house. Our cat is very loving and has never had any issues, but she also loves Emily. I have also watched Emily work with her dogs and she has trained them to perfection even with previous issues they had. I would highly recommend Emily as a pet caregiver and I believe she will do a great job helping out with any pet and can also assist in training if necessary.”
3. Jamie S.
“Jamie is a very kindhearted and loving pet caregiver. You can tell she has a special place in her heart for animals and is very intelligent when it comes to taking care of them. She cares for the animals with lots of love and is very respectful of our home. You can tell the animals were very happy with her and were well taken care of when you return. I would recommend her and would feel comfortable leaving my pets with her any time.”
4. Joseph E.
“My dog has severe anxiety, and is elderly. He is not happy with strangers or new environments. He hates his paws being touched and has hip and joint issues because of his age. Joey is one of the few people my dog is comfortable around. Not just comfortable but EXCITED to see. Joey has been gentle and mindful when caring for our dog and has successfully trimmed his nails, helped him up and down the stairs, as well as other general care. He even sent pictures to update us and let us know he was there and how my dog was doing. Joey understands how to safely care for older dogs and is absolutely someone you can trust your dogs with.”
5. Catherine O.
“I highly recommend Catherine for any of your pet needs. We weren't able to get a sitter for our long weekend and so I reached out to Rover at the last minute. Catherine responded right away to my message and was able to come over on short notice for a meet and greet with our dogs. I was a bit nervous about our dog Ricky as he is not used to strangers and can come off as aggressive. Lots of barking and growling but has never bit anyone. But Catherine knows how to handle dogs really well and within 5 minutes of meeting they were friends. She was really good with spending time with them and playing with them while we were gone. She also kept us up to date on the dogs and shared photos which we really appreciated. We will definitely be reaching out to Catherine the next time we need someone to watch over our dogs.”

About: Retired until the next recruiter finds me. Held a security clearance for over 26 years. I've been boarding, house sitting, dropping in, walking, and running with dogs since before COVID hit. I also provide cat care. Open to other duties as assigned (mail collection, plant and/or pool/spa care, garbage/recycling, snow clearing, etc.). Prices are ajustable. Golf league couple evenings/week, and ski locally on weekends. Membership Director of the Battle Creek Ski Club - occasional meetings. 50 mile radius is for house sitting; drop ins or walks within 10 miles. Safe neighborhood in Battle Creek. I have a fenced yard with good safety latches on the gates. I have a pool with a safety cover off-season (3ft safety barrier available-see photos). I heat with a solar cover, so house sitting while it’s open is not feasible unless you live nearby. Dogs are not allowed on the pool covers or in the pool. Dogs must stay on leash during a meet-n-greet at my house, as Rover does not cover those (donations appreciated). ( I do not own any pets or have children, and live alone. I can only adequately supervise 1 dog at a time around the pool. Bi-level home with carpeted stairs. It has been marked, so if that’s a potential issue, please look elsewhere.
13. Katherine L.

14. Erin C.
About: I’ve been a lifelong animal lover and pet owner, with experience caring for a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and even horses. Currently, I share my home with a dog and a cat, and I have a passion for making sure every animal in my care feels safe, happy, and loved. I’ve spent my entire life caring for animals, and I know how to create a warm and nurturing environment for pets of all sizes. I work from home, which means your pet will never be left alone for long periods. I’m here throughout the day, available for frequent walks and playtime in my large, fenced-in yard. I have time to provide multiple walks, personalized attention, and lots of love and care. Your pet will have plenty of exercise, companionship, and fun while you’re away. Your pet’s safety is my top priority. I’ve spent years handling various animals and understand how to keep them secure and content. My home is a pet-safe environment, and I take great care to ensure all animals feel calm and well cared for. I’m reliable, trustworthy, and committed to giving your pet the best care possible while treating them like family. You can have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands with someone who genuinely cares.
15. Ian C.
“I’ve known this man for many years and he is the kindest and most patient with animals of all species and variety. As a dog owner himself, I’ve seen him raise and care for multiple dogs with ease and happy dogs. I personally have a dog and trust him with my animals any time I need assistance, couldn’t recommend him enough with dogs.”
16. Annabelle R.
“Great communication and very responsible. Willing to go for lots of walks and give a lot of attention to the dog, and is trustworthy in the house.”
17. Lindsay B.
“I contacted Lindsay about boarding our two dogs. She was very quick to communicate, and we texted back and forth a lot. She was always very responsive! We scheduled a Meet and Greet and met at a park near Lindsay's house. She and her daughter met us and were so sweet! I immediately saw how much they love dogs and doing this work. I waited at the park while they introduced my dogs to their house and pets. Lindsay even took a video to show me later of how well my dogs did! No other sitter has ever done that, and it offered me a lot of reassurance. I would definitely recommend using Lindsay to help with your pets. She is worth it!”
18. Rex L.
“Rex is a very caring, pet loving human! He loves animals, even to the point of rescuing baby turtles, baby raccoons, anything he sees or finds. He doesn't want any animal to suffer, ever. He would be an awesome pet sitter/dog wallker. As he is patient and extremely gentle and kind. When it comes to animals and children you couldn't ask for a bigger heart, or a better man. I believe he would do very well.”
19. Nadia H.
“Nadia is a lover of animals! I've seen her around many different dogs and they all love her. She took care of my dog that has pretty high energy many times for years and my dog LOVES her. He would get so excited to see her again. I would highly recommend her.”
