Growing up, I owned a Chow Chow, which was a real treat. I even loved giving her baths! Since then, I have done pet sitting/house sitting/babysitting for various friends & family over the years, and eventually started using Rover in 2021. The most dogs I’ve house-sat with at one time are 3. I am accustomed to following your pet’s individualized routine. I am very much a dog lover. I don’t currently own one due to apartment restrictions, but greatly wish I could. I like to dog sit because I get so much out of it. I truly LOVE DOGS! I am quite familiar with various breeds and their unique traits. Some of the breeds I have cared for are as follows: Akita, American Eskimo, Australian Shepherd, Bernedoodle, Bichon Frise, Border Collie, Boxer, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Chow Chow, English Bulldog, Frenchie, German Shepherd, Great Dane, Greyhound, Golden Retriever, Jack Russell Terrier, Labradoodle, Labrador Retriever, Pug, Newfoundland, Rat Terrier, Rottweiler, Saint Bernard, Sheltie, Toy Poodle, Welsh Corgi. I cared quite often for a dog with congestive heart failure who needed medicine & needed monitored for his breathing & risk for fainting. I’ve also cared for blind dogs and older dogs with dementia. Some of the dogs I’ve watched take medicine or have dietary supplements and restrictions. I’ve never had any pet emergencies while pet-sitting for others, but did have to take my family dog on an emergency run in her final days which resulted in her passing from old age at 16 years. I mention this to say, if an emergency would ever arise while pet sitting- I am familiar with the process to get the dog help. I have MedVet info saved to my phone so you can rest easy knowing I am prepared for any out of the ordinary circumstances any time of day or night. I also like cats & have done cat sitting on a more rare occasion, including homes with a cat and dog, or only cats. I have lived with a cat who was very close to me in recent years so I am familiar with their behaviors and needs. I’ve also administered medication to a cat with FIV although it is a bit tricky. About: Things to know about me: 1. I’ve been dog-obsessed since before the age of 5. I’m now 40(ish), and still have to control my natural and immediate impulse to pet every dog I see. And cats…and goats. Mostly dogs. 2. I have extensive experience with dogs of all kinds. I spent years volunteering at the SPCA. I’ve fostered, dog-sat, socialized and walked all kinds of dogs - large to small, long to short, elderly to puppies. I’ve been bitten more times than I care to admit, and I’ve still NEVER met a dog I don’t like. 3. They belong indoors, in the bed, and on the furniture. They deserve the cheese tax and also the chicken tax. There’s no such thing as a bad dog. I said what I said. In short, if you’re in or around the Dayton area and you need a walker or a day-sitter, I’ll be happy to. And I’ll love your dog like they’re my own while I’m with them. I’m currently available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. throughout the day. I’m occasionally available on weekends during the day, although that availability is a little more infrequent. I’m available to walk and play with your dog, let them out, give treatos or feed as needed, and work on leash training and basic commands if needed.

About: I have been trusted by many friends and family for years to provide dog care services. I have watched multiple dogs, big dogs, dogs that take meds, anxious dogs, etc. I am willing to walk, check in, or stay nights if needed. With summer my weeks are random. Most weeks I will be free unless already booked. I do online classes so am able to spend a decent amount of time watching dogs. I have watched many dogs in the past. About: I’ve grown up with dogs. I’ve had at least three to 7 dogs at a time in my home. As well as cats, ducks and bunnies! I have a unique ability to bond quickly with dogs, and animals. I love them. I believe God put them on earth to help to help us make it through the trials and triumphs of life. I believe all dogs are unique and have the own personality, and should be treated as such. And I will treat your dog as though they are my new friend, and hopefully will become my longtime friend. I have had senior dogs, so I am well aware of the extra care that needs to be given to these special dogs. They deserve to be treated with care and respect. I have also trained my dogs in basic commands. I will always abide by your wishes while caring for your baby. And will willing to listen to any concerns that may arise. I am currently a stay-at-home dog mom. So I have mostly open availability at this time. I’m sure this would be a excellent fit for my life!! While caring for other people’s pets, made sure to go to check on the pets many times a day. During that time, I stay and play, love on them, give treats or feed (if it’s time), play some more, and make sure they are properly tired until the next time I come back. I worry about them, honestly, as though they are my own. So I want to make sure they are happy and safe.

“Emma was great with our dogs, however. We met with her prior to booking so we could get to know her and our dogs could meet her as well. We spoke about the time being 12noon and that was not a problem. The first day (Monday) she was here on time, the next 3 days she arrived at 1pm. 1 hr later then discussed. Then Friday morning she texted us stating she was stuck at a house she was cleaning and was not gonna be able to make it. My wife had to rush from work in Sidney to take them out, then rush back. Keep in mind we had already paid for the entire week.”
