“Candace was amazing with our two cats!! She was very communicative, attentive and went out of her way so that both our cats and we felt good during the holidays. Would recommend and hire her to take care of our pets again 1000%. So so grateful!”

About: As I partner with pet parents, I look forward to welcoming and honoring each pet's spirit and unique needs. Growing up with animals taught me how to truly listen to these sacred beings and notice the subtle ways they communicate. I can promise that I will show up for every animal trusted in my care the way I'd want someone to show up for mine: with patience, presence, and a whole lot of love. I am an artist with the ability to easily move my schedule around. I look forward to walking, boarding, and supporting pet parents with any care needs that arise. I have a fenced in yard and a clean, quiet home. When caring for dogs, I look for opportunities to engage in play as often as possible both to bond with your fur baby and to ensure they are having fun!
About: I offer calm, reliable care for both dogs and cats, tailoring my approach to each pet’s personality, routine, and needs. I have experience with energetic pets who benefit from structured exercise and enrichment, as well as senior pets who need a slower pace, patience, and gentle support. I’m also comfortable supporting anxious pets and maintaining familiar routines while their owners are away. I can administer basic medications, follow detailed care instructions, and maintain consistency with feeding, walks, litter care, and enrichment. I also have experience house sitting in a variety of homes and am comfortable maintaining discretion, care, and respect in each space as if it were my own. What sets me apart is my attentiveness and communication—I provide consistent updates so you always feel connected and reassured while you’re away. As a pet owner who has used Rover myself, I understand the importance of reliability, clear communication, and thoughtful photo updates in creating peace of mind while you’re traveling. I offer full availability throughout the week for pet care, including weekdays, weekends, and overnight stays, allowing me to provide consistent, attentive care for each booking. I can accommodate a wide range of routines and needs and prioritize reliability and clear communication for every stay. I provide care exclusively in my clients’ homes, where I prioritize maintaining each pet’s familiar routine and environment to reduce stress and ensure comfort. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, exercise routines, medication needs, and household guidelines. I approach each home with respect and care and ensure the space is left clean, organized, and well-maintained. I’m mindful of safety at all times, including secure leash handling on walks, careful attention to doors and entry points, and ongoing awareness of each pet’s behavior and needs. My goal is to provide a calm, consistent presence so pets feel secure and well cared for in their own environment while owners are away.
About: I would love to look after your fur babies. I have 2 dogs of my own and they truly are man's best friends. I would make sure I take care of yours just like I would my own. I work at a daycare in Highlands, Nc. I have a break during the day if I need to come walk a dog or feed an animal. I also live close to Highlands so I am available to help in the evenings as well. Like I said I have 2 dogs in my home. They are house trained so they are able to roam around the house. I can also make room for pet carrier.
About: I love cats. Especially the type that wants to curl up next to me. Do to my boyfriend having an allergy to cats we currently don’t have any. But I don’t mind dropping in and taking care of the fur babies. I’m currently a 911 Dispatcher for Transylvania County. I work every other week there. (Week on; week off) I will post my monthly schedules that way you can know if I’m a best fit for you. I would prefer not to have other dogs at my home. Due to one of my dogs not being all that friendly. But do not mind going to other homes and taking care of dogs through out the week.
“Lillie has been exceptional with the dogs and equally exceptional as a professional. She has house sat and dropped in with my dogs on several occasions. She is communicative, punctual and treated my dogs not only like family, but maintained our training and routine. Owning a large working breed requires a certain proclivity and understanding that Lillie has. It is hard to find this level of care or trust that is required for in home dog sitting. My only complaint is that she has other clients and I can’t have her all to myself!”

About: I have been around all types of animals and pets my whole life. I don't mind taking care of any type of pet you may have from babys to seniors, cats of all breeds and dogs of all breeds and sizes. I’m also good with taking care of other domestic pets, exotic pets and farm animals. I only work part time so I have a lot of extra time to care for animals and enjoy being outdoors walking, biking and hiking. I can also just enjoy sitting on the porch with a cat in my lap and a dog at my feet. I’m not doing in home or boarding at this time and may offer to stay at your house with your pet in the future
“Brinkley, Thank you so much for helping us out last minute with Duke and Wanda! You left us with no worries while we were away! Look forward to seeing you again soon! Thank you!”

“Leandra was a life saver. I am so strung out caring for this 11 week old puppy and she stepped in and truly helped me out. Lovely, considerate, helpful, and energetic. We love Leandra!”

About: “I have taken care of dogs my whole life and currently have a sweet pug puppy named Willow. I love taking dogs on walks, giving them playtime, potty breaks, snuggles, and lots of attention. I treat every dog like my own — with patience, kindness, and positive reinforcement. Whether it’s a quick drop-in or an overnight stay, your pup will feel safe, happy and deeply loved in my care I work from home as an artist and am almost always here, so your dog will get consistent walks, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of snuggles throughout the day. They won’t be left alone except for quick errands. 🐾 My home is very dog-friendly with a fully fenced in yard, tons of toys, comfy dog beds, and lots of space to relax. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and in my bed (just like my own pups). I treat every dog like part of the family — with lots of love, patience, and positive reinforcement. 🐾
About: I am need of full time employment and have been pet sitting for friends and family for over ten years now. I absolutely love dogs and spending time with them because their love is unconditional. I grew up helping take care of my family's dog for about fourteen years and then helped raise a puppy who is turning ten in October. I enjoy being around dogs and playing with them so I feel like this is going to be the right gig for me. I am very positive and outgoing and love spending time outside. I'm currently unemployed and hoping to pick up as many gigs as I can to get a new routine started as I settled in a new location. I adjust based on the animal's needs. Some dogs I've watched have been incredibly more active and needing of attention than others, as well as cats. It's all about hearing what the owner needs for their pets while they're away to ease any anxiety they have of leaving them.

About: Since a little girl, there has always been dogs inside or outside of the house. As of right now, I have six dogs all different sizes, ages, and personalities. Therefore, I am very comfortable handling anything from energetic puppies to senior pups who need a gentler space. I understand how to manage multiple dogs at once and read their body language to make sure each one gets the care they need. Because of that, I am patient, adaptable, and used to real life situations. I treat every animal like they are my own regardless of where I am (why I have 6 lol), and make sure they feel safe and loved. I am currently a freshman in college who is fully online. Therefore, I have plenty of time on my hands to play with your pups and get what they need! During the summer time, I will be doing this full time as I will be on break. I have a large yard with many pups yours can play with. If needed, I can easily crate your dog if that is what you prefer, however, all dogs are welcome on the furniture here. I also have a quieter space for the older, wanting to sleep dogs🙂

I will feed dogs according to schedule. I can do over night sitting any time. I am willing to drive mostly anywhere. Just need some extra money. I am very flexible with my schedule and can work as much as I can. I look forward to doing business with you Pet care fits into my schedule perfectly seeing as i have a dog and a cat myself and i enjoy spending all my time with them. I have a nice big backyard and i also have a large crate of my own if need be. Walks daily and play time is important
“Ashlee was absolutely wonderful. The notes and photos sent were great. I was able to enjoy my entire vacation knowing she was stopping by checking on my cat. Highly recommend!”

About: Caring for animals is something that runs in my family both my mother and my aunt are deeply involved in various rescues including but not limited to puppers, cats, even spiders of all shapes and sizes. We treat our fur babies like one of us and they are definitely part of the family. We will spend lots of time together walking through open fields and woods playing fetch if they are into those kinds of things I’m also ok with just sitting and sun bathing, we go fishing if the weather is nice. They will never have to worry about being alone or being forgotten or scared because I will be there any time they need. Lap dogs and cuddle buddies are always welcome !!
About: I have a Bachelor's degree in Zoology, and Associates degree in Science and have cared for other peoples pets since I was 17 (August, 3 2026 I'll be 22) besides caring for my parents dogs and cats. I have expireance with special care needs like diabetic pets who need to be given insulin shots, elderly dogs with oral pills they would rather not take, and bouncing puppies who need to let out alot of energy. I also have owned many animals since I was little with minimal parental help. These animals include dogs, cats, snakes, mice, rats, fish, birds, spiders, and frogs. I have experience in highschool vet care and college lab and field experience in herpetology, ornithology, and ictheology. Your fur babies will love spending their time with me when you can't be there. I just graduated college and would love to make money doing somthing I'm good at; careing for animals. Since I just graduated and don't have another job currently I'm free at most times and would love to be of service to you. I will give my undivided attention to make sure your animal is happy and well cared for. I can take your dog to the dog park, and if you want I can bring my dog over for them to play. Dog/cat's needs and feed schedules can be precise. When I was caring for my aunts Diabetic cat I had to feed half of a 1/4 cup give him his insulin shot then feed the other half, this had to happen at 6am and 6pm exactly. The shot had to go into his opposite hip every time (left morning, right afternoon). I hope to offer your pet similarly the best care imaginable.
About: I got my dog when I was 13 and she was the best thing that happened to me. She was the most loving and caring dog I ever met but lost her to a serious illness and I just love to give out my heart to animals and would love to spend some time with your animals. I am a stay at home mom and the moment. Son is five and in kindergarten and he loves animals just as much as I do but because I’m not completely over losing my dog I haven’t been able to get him a dog for himself. I’m home and have a dog park right now the road from me so keeping dogs a breeze. I always have an eye on the animals. Never feed food other then the kind given. Nothing in the rooms that they would stay in that could hurt them.
About: Hey there!! I've been around pets my whole life and absolutely LOVE them. We had a dog (dachshund) growing up as well as other animals like Rabbits and Guinea Pigs! I've had cats and dogs throughout my life as well. My bestie dog was named Sadie (corgi/husky mix) who was 17 when I had to let her go to the rainbow bridge March 2021...it was the hardest thing I've ever had to do 💔 I had her since she was about 1 yr old. She had a pacemaker put in about 2 yrs prior to passing and had a great life but I miss her like crazy. I've been Petsitting a long time but over the passed couple of years it's really helped heal my heart and has truly been a blessing. Most of my clients are from word of mouth over the years but I have this to help others get in touch with me if they need some help! I live in Lake Toxaway but I have jobs anywhere from Highlands, Trillium, Cullowhee, Cashiers, Sapphire, Lake Toxaway to Brevard. I mostly stay at my client's homes but I do bring some dogs to my house if it ends up being a better option. I've done puppy care and senior care as well so that doesn't phase me. I also can do medication or treatments needed. If I'm booked up for in home pet care then I can do drop ins 2x a day for cats 🐱 I can possibly offer that for dogs too but they usually need it 3x a day. So that would all depend on my availability. I work part time caretaking properties/cleaning, and childcare so I'm mostly home! When I do need to leave I'm not gone more then 3-6 hrs, depending on the job. I can travel further if I can move jobs around in my area. I'm very flexible and try to make things work if I can! I currently don’t have a fenced in yard but I will walk around my neighborhood and have a decent sized backyard. I treat your babies like they're my own so they get lots of lovin. Sometimes we go to the State Park too! If they like car rides I'll take them to check my mail or little errands.
