“This is our second boarding with Sabrina. She was very well organized and kept us updated with pictures and videos of Kikki through out her stay. She was very prompt in responses as well. Will definitely recommend her with my friends who are looking for boarding for their pets.”

“We are so elated that we found Carrie on Rover. She along with her family are sincerely wonderful kindhearted people. We love all the photos and updates. Our dogs are in the best care possible and are treated as if one of their own. Navarrete Family”

“Highly recommending Florence! It was Yuki's first time boarding over the weekend, she's unsocialized but super loveable. She was having an abundance of fun with the other dogs, playdates and walks. Florence sent me a ton of pictures and updates throughout the day so I wasn't ever really worried. The training is also a plus! Yuki was able to learn alot from Florence. She was really loves animals and it definitely shows. I'm sure Yuki is already looking forward to her future stay.”
“Wonderful and kind pet sitters! I would recommend them to anyone who needs pet sitting for short stays or long stays. My dog Otis stayed for 2 weeks while we went on vacation and he was comfortable and happy in their home!”

“Joe and Patti are so great! They took really great care of our older dog Koda. Sent us several pictures and really made us feel comfortable. So happy to have found them!”

“Had Zeus for the weekend and did an amazing job! She was able to slowly have Zeus interact with her own dogs and sent videos throughout the day . Will book with her again”

About: Hi there! I’ve been a dog lover all my life, finally becoming an owner over 20 years ago. I have owned big dogs and little dogs and currently have one of each. I have a fully fenced yard with grass and a big shade tree. Dogs are part of the family here, and so would yours while in my care. I work from home on the weekdays I am available to provide care. So when I’m home my schedule is very flexible so I can cater to any needs. I have a fully fenced yard and two very friendly dogs - a labradoodle and a Shih Tzu. I can provide regular potty breaks also and extra attention if needed.
“Our dog Midnight had a great time hanging out with Kirsten and her family. She sent me pictures, texts and videos of him so we could see how he was doing. We’ll definitely be looking to book with her again when we need a sitter for our baby dog.”

“Myra was amazing. She was extremely accommodating, even on New Year's day. Picchu was so happy in her house. It was the first time he relaxed and was able to sleep when someone else's place. I come to Miami often and I am so glad now I have a reliable and lovely person to take care of him :)”

“She was definitely an angel! I had a dog emergency and needed him to stay the night with someone so i found lisette on rover and when i tell you she’s the sweetest lady I have ever met! If I could give her 100 stars I would :)”

“Valerie was amazing with Whiskey! She took such great care of him and kept us updated with photos and videos all weekend, which really put us at ease. It was clear Whiskey was happy, well cared for, and enjoying his time with her. She took him on walks and gave him lots of love and attention. We’re so grateful to have found someone so caring and reliable. We’ll definitely be booking with Valerie again!”

“Brooke was great with our boys Marley and Ted. They had the best time and came back happy as can be. Full trust in her and will definitely be using her services again. Sleep well knowing your furry family members are in good hands with Brooke.”

“First time using Rover and Shayne didn't disappoint. She took care of our 8 week old hyperactive rat terrier puppy with no issues. Would definitely use her again as a sitter. It's a breath of fresh air knowing that there are still great animal loving people and families out there. Thanks again especially on such short notice.”

About: I have over 10 years of experience in pet boarding and looking after the pets of my friends and family. I have assisted in training puppies as well as adult dogs, so I am more than happy to assist in training your animals while you're away by keeping up a specific schedule or regimen. I also have personal experience caring for elderly dogs as well as dogs with anxiety disorders, happy to work with them in any special ways needed. I typically find myself doing a lot of my busy work and essential activities in the afternoons and evenings. For this reason, majority of my availability for short visits will be in the mornings, but happy to discuss other arrangements if needed. I have a large backyard and property that your bestie will just love, if they stay over at my place. I have multiple sized dog beds so no matter babies size they'll have a lovely place to rest their head.
About: I’ve owned and taken care of all types of dogs. From Rottweilers to currently owning a Rat Terrier. I love dogs and have been known to be able to teach them some minor tricks. Most importantly, I love to let them be themselves and have fun. I walk every day for exercise, so walking your dog would not be an issue for me. The more I walk the more weight I’ll lose. I have a one bedroom apartment. But it’s big enough to take care of multiple pets. My dog has three beds herself. I have a playpen area where they can play many dog toys, and treats.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Lake Camanche Ranches home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Lake Camanche Ranches.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Lake Camanche Ranches sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
