“Lacy was so wonderful. She immediately was so caring and loving on our sweet puppies. We loved that her children played with and had fun loving on them too. She shared photos throughout the stay to keep us up to date. We felt good knowing our babies were in good care. Lacy communicated clearly and timely. Thank You Lacy!”

“Ben and melodie did a fantastic job taking care of my senior dog, Casino for 2+ weeks. I received updates and pictures on how casino was doing and he seemed happy and content with their family. I would not hesitate to use their services again and recommend them for anyone searching for a communicative, loving family to take care of their four-legged loved ones.”

“Our Rover sitter took great care of our dog, Chevy. She was reliable, kind, and made sure he was well cared for while we were away. We really appreciated the updates and would definitely recommend!”

“10/10! My dogs were such happy pups with Dakota and had a beautiful yard to run around in. They seemed so happy and relaxed in every photo/video he sent and when I picked them up. He kept them for over a week and took great care of them and gave them lots of love. ❤️ He will be my go-to in the future!”

“I was more than pleased with my dog's 3-night stay with Shelley. This was a second choice for me, but I'm beyond happy that I went with her over my first choice. I was impressed that she sent pictures every so often, even though I didn't necessarily request it, and she gave him treats for the holiday. She even washed the cloth that I had in my dog's crate! I will definitely request her services again!”

“Another great stay with Ian! The dogs are always excited to go there, they get great interaction with other dogs while they’re there, and best of all, they’re cleaned up and tired out when we pick them up.”

“Kenwin is awesome!! I received so many cute videos and photos of Rudy while I was away. Rudy went on many walks and adventures, and had tons of play time. She misses her new friends already!!”

“Niko was absolutely wonderful with our little dog who needs several meds and is blind in one eye. She was great with sending thoughtful updates to put our minds at ease, and was very accommodating on drop off and pick up as we were traveling from out of town. Our dog obviously had a great time with Niko’s family. We would book with her again, no hesitation. She’s the best!”

“Valeria and her family were great! They took care to make sure Merl got his medicine. Their home is spacious with a lovely big yard. I know Merl had a great time and we'll be back in the future!”

“I couldn’t ask for a better doggy sitter. Sophie has challenging mobility issues and Debbie took special care of all her needs. She kept me updated daily and I appreciate her so much.”
About: I grew up on a small farm in Oklahoma, so animals have always been a big part of my life. I’ve had dogs for as long as I can remember and currently have a little 10-pound poodle named Duke. He’s super friendly, well-behaved, and loves being around other animals. Over the years, I’ve regularly watched pets for family and friends, everything from energetic puppies to older dogs who need a little extra TLC. Whether it’s daily walks, feeding, playtime, or just keeping them company, I truly enjoy making animals feel comfortable and cared for. Now that I’m offering my services on Rover, I’m excited to meet even more furry friends (and their humans!). Duke and I are looking forward to making new connections. Connect with me for a meet and greet. I'm a lifelong animal lover and dependable sitter based in Oklahoma City. Whether it's snuggles on the couch, long walks, or keeping your pet's routine just right, I’m here to help you travel worry free. I have a very flexible hybrid work schedule, and my office is only a mile from home. This allows me to easily stop by during lunch or whenever your pet needs extra care and attention. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, and small animals of all ages. Friends and family know me as the “go-to pet aunt,” and now I’m excited to offer that same care to your furry family members. I’m responsible, respectful of your home, and always make sure pets feel safe and loved. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you never have to wonder how things are going. I love taking photos by the way. Let’s connect! I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pets and learn how I can provide the best care for them. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I treat every animal like my own and do my best to keep their routine consistent, calm, and stress free. I keep a close eye on all pets in my care, especially during walks or playtime, and I’m mindful of their behavior and energy levels. Duke is gentle and well behaved, so he helps create a peaceful environment for visiting pets. I also take the responsibility of caring for your home seriously. If I’m house sitting, you can expect clear communication, updates, and total respect for your space.
“I'm so happy Ms. Balinda was able to watch my dog for a few days while I had to travel. I've only had him a few months and he has separation anxiety from me, so I was very hesitant at first to leave my dog with a stranger. She sent me pictures and videos of him and let me know he was doing well and was having a good time! What I loved most about Ms. Balinda is that I could tell from our meet & greet that she loves and takes very good care of her own dog and I loved that her home was very clean because that's important to me as well! I will definitely book with her again very soon!”

“Anne was awesome! We were in the city for the week and wanted someone home all day for our senior dog and Anne came highly recommended on Rover. If we need her again, we'll definitely use her. She's a kind and caring dog sitter. You can't go wrong with her!”

“My fur babies were in great care with Elizabeth over the holiday weekend. My fur babies made themselves right at home and enjoyed being able to play with her two fur babies in her expansive backyard. She communicated with me & sent pictures throughout their stay. Thank you, Elizabeth!!”

About: My husband and I have been caring for family members’ dogs for years, and we both grew up surrounded by dogs! We absolutely love having pups around and would be thrilled to give your dog lots of love and attention while you’re away. If your dog loves to play, my husband will happily wear them out running around our spacious backyard! Once they’ve had their fun, I’ll be more than happy to cuddle up with them for some cozy downtime. We also love taking dogs on walks and exploring our new neighborhood together. The only reason we don’t have a fur baby of our own yet is because we travel frequently. Until the time is right for us to have one, we’d love the opportunity to spoil and care for your dog whenever you’re out of town. Your pup will be treated like family in our home! 🐾❤️ I am a night nurse so I am home during the daytime and would be happy to take the dogs on a morning walk and play with them throughout the day. My husband would be with the dogs overnight when I’m at work and he works from home during the days that I am sleeping so he would be able to let the dogs out into our backyard to play and stretch their legs. We have a fenced yard for your dog to play in and can also crate them if needed. We don’t have any children or other pets so you do not have to worry about how they will get along with others.

“Melissa and her family took amazing care of our Molly! She went above and beyond loving and caring for her. We appreciate the extra work it takes to care for a guide dog. Melissa and zero are her new best friends ! Won't be booking with anyone else !”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Lake Aluma home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Lake Aluma.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Lake Aluma sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OK ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
