“I met Adrienne recently to have her pet sit. Upon first meeting, she asked all the appropriate questions about how to care for them. The weekend had some adventures (not fault of hers) but she handled it beautifully and showed so much love for my pets. I absolutely will use her again. ❤️ -from A Veterinarian”

“Was very pleased with how well she took care of Hershey. He does not like fireworks and she sat with him while the fireworks are going off up the road. She’s already scheduled to come back and watch her again. I would recommend her to watch anybody’s pet.”

“Abby did a phenomenal job house sitting and making sure our furry companions were happy and healthy. She was very communicative and sent pictures & a video. I appreciate the help and attentiveness. I recommend Abby and will rebook as needed if her schedule allows.”

“First time using Rover and leaving my 10-week-old puppy, and Ava was absolutely fantastic. She sent pictures and videos throughout the day, and I could tell he was having so much fun. She kept him on his schedule and was clearly experienced with puppies. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such great hands- will definitely be using Ava again!”

About: I have over 45 years of experience caring for dogs of all ages as well as many other types of animals that have honored me with living with me over the years (cats, horses, guinea pigs, gecko, Madagascar hissing cockroach, parrots, flying squirrel, rabbits). My original dream was to become a vet so I have a background interning with veterinarian, working multiple years in a grooming and boarding facility and had my own very successful animal care and sitting business as a teenager. I have great nail trimming skills as well! Animals are naturally drawn to me and sense my love and respect for them. I work remotely so am pretty flexible with schedules. I also have taken the pet CPR course! I work remotely from home so am flexible in what I can offer. I feed my own pets multiple times a day and am able to monitor what is consumed. I also live in a beautiful community near parks for nice walks. I have a fenced in yard and 2 friendly dogs who live next door who are always interested in playdates if desired. I work remotely so have flexibility in what I can offer clients. I do have a crate on premises if you do not have although I prefer (as do pets) for them to have their familiar one! There are friendly cats who live with me although I would likely gate off my kitchen / sunroom area where my office is so that I can supervise and ensure harmony with unknown pet if in my home.
“Jessica was great! She accepted our booking last minute and still made time to do a meet and greet prior to watching our dog. She was very communicative and prompt! Would definitely book her again!”

“⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I cannot express enough gratitude for Crystal! This was my first time using Rover, and I was incredibly anxious about leaving my dog, Money, who struggles with severe separation anxiety. Crystal stepped in last minute and provided the most loving and attentive care I could have hoped for. She was patient, understanding, and went above and beyond to make sure Money felt safe and comfortable. I truly felt at ease knowing he was in such great hands. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about your pet as if they were her own, look no further—Crystal is amazing! I will definitely be booking with her again. Highly recommend!”

About: I haven't been without a dog since I was just a little girl. I have rescued 4 of my own dogs and have fostered 11 dogs in just the last 3 years. I have had dogs from puppies to seniors and everywhere in between. I have pretty open availability to able to tend to your pets needs almost any time that it requires. From drop ins and walks to overnight sitting. My own pets are treated as family members and I will treat anyone else's pet the same exact way. My motto has always been They are "puppers" no matter how old they are!
“Kerri is the BEST! She stayed at our house for over a week taking care of our dog and cat. Because our dog is large (70lbs) and sometimes anxious/reactive, it can be difficult to find a sitter that is a good fit. Kerri came prepared, asked lots of questions, sent daily updates, and our dog loved her. We will definitely book Kerri again -- highly recommended!”

“Hannah did a perfectly fine job watching our dog over the weekend. She handled his standard routine, followed our instructions, and kept him fed and let out on schedule. Communication was clear, she sent regular photo updates, and we came home to a happy, healthy pet. She is a reliable choice if you need someone to cover the core basics for a weekend trip.”

“Sabrina is the absolute best!!!! I feel so blessed that we found her. She’s such a kind person with the sweetest energy. The animals flock to her!! She’s the only person we’ll be using from now on.”

“Kaila was amazing!! She took care of my German Shepherd while I was away for the weekend. She kept me updated the whole time and I’m so grateful she took such a good care of my baby!”

“Maria is the best! She was so kind, accommodating to our specific needs, communicated very well, and loved my kitten as if he were her own. We are incredibly thankful to have found her and look forward to working with her again in the future.”

“Best house sitter that there ever was!!! She washed and folded the laundry that she used (we didn’t ask her to), she helped out with Buddy, our Elf on the Shelf, and was great with communication.”

“Taylor did an excellent job watching our dog over the weekend. She kept us updated with great photos and asked detailed questions that really let me know that she cared about our boy. I'll definitely look to Taylor again next time we leave town.”

“Devon just spent 10 days at our home watching our 2 dogs (12y.o. Pit/chow and 8 y.o pitbull). I was nervous about finding someone to stay with our dogs as my older dog can be temperamental but the moment Devon came by for a meet and greet it was clear he is a dog whisperer. I received updates and pictures twice a day and never had to worry about how things were going at home. My older dog has been showing signs of dementia and Devon was able to sooth him through 4th of July and fireworks without any additional anxiety medication. Additionally, I was impressed with how respectful Devon was of our home and space. We came home to a clean house and happy dogs. We will definitely be booking again.”
“Matthew watched our three dogs when we went out of town for the weekend and he was great! He checked in all throughout the weekend and provided updates. We have two frenchies and a senior chihuahua mix who is deaf. Our dogs can be a handful but he took on the task and we were very thankful! We highly recommend him.”

“Our sweet Gimli was happy with Marilyn! She was very responsive and reliable. She shared happy photos of our dog! I appreciated finding our home just as we left it! I would recommend Marilyn for watching your pets!”

“Micah took excellent care of our crew! When a minor health issue with our senior dog came up, his communication was top notch and he handled things beautifully. We came home to well cared for babies and a house cleaner than when we left. Most amazingly, all the animals were calm, happy, and relaxed when we got home! We also received beautiful photos of them every day while we were gone. We will definitely hire him again and would be happy to give him a glowing recommendation to anyone !”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 1,677 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Ladiesburg. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Ladiesburg walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Ladiesburg maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ladiesburg choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ladiesburg. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
