“Allie is a god send for me. My animals love her. She is very caring and I trust her with my animals completely which has always been tough for me. I am so thankful for her.”

“Keira was absolutely amazing with our 14 week old Aussiedoodle puppy, Lily. She is very experienced and offered ideas on how to adjust to a rambunctious new addition in our home. Keira was an excellent communicator throughout these past two weeks, never hesitating to reach out if she had any questions or suggestions. We look forward to continuing to use Keira as Lily has grown so fond of her.”

“For my entire time living in the florida area, I had Jessica come take care of my two baby bunnies. She was amazing in her communication with us and her handling of the two of them. Jessica was always so flexible and willing to come even at short notice, and I always knew my babies were well taken care of. She was even willing to give my older baby complicated medical attention and did a great job of doing so (i.e., nebulizing, shots, oral medications, etc.) I was so sad that in leaving the area, Jessica could no longer be our go-to bunny caregiver. We wish her all the best and recommend her to anyone searching for a dedicated pet sitter!!”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for family and friends since 2019. Never having a fur baby of my one, I give as many belly rubs to the ones I care for to make up for it! Since I WFH, my schedule is very flexible. It’s the perfect set up for midday walks and all day belly rubs! Having a car also allows flexibility so I’m available in various locations. I care for pets by going where they’re most comfortable. I’m happy to go to your home and give your pets the love they deserve while you get the vacay you need!
About: I've spent many years caring for dogs and cats through animal rescue and fostering, working with pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. My experience includes puppies and kittens, seniors, shy and anxious pets, and animals with special medical or behavioral needs. I'm comfortable giving medications when needed, following detailed care instructions, and making sure every pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable. I understand that every pet is unique, and I treat each one with the same patience, compassion, and attention I'd want for my own. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I already spend a lot of time caring for animals throughout the day. I’m used to building my schedule around feeding, cleaning, playtime, and monitoring pets’ health and behavior. I’m organized and flexible, so I can adjust my day to make sure each pet gets consistent attention and care. Whether it’s daily drop-ins or scheduled visits, I prioritize being dependable and on time so pets stay comfortable and owners have peace of mind. In the owner’s home, I follow all instructions closely to keep pets comfortable in their familiar environment. I make sure they are fed on schedule, have fresh water, clean litter boxes or potty breaks, and plenty of attention based on their personality and comfort level. I’m careful to maintain their routine so they feel safe and relaxed while their owner is away. If caring for pets in my home, I would provide a calm, supervised environment, separate from my own pets if needed, and ensure they have a quiet, stress-free space with consistent care, attention, and supervision throughout their stay.

About: I’ve always grown up with dogs and been there to help friends, family and neighbors with their pets with 8 years of professional and personal experience. I have 4 dogs in my own household including a Great Dane mixed w/ a redbone coonhound, a dachshund mixed w/ a pit-bull, Chihuahua and a Chihuahua mixed w/ an Australian cattle hound! Plus a small rabbit! I’ve even trained my dogs to follow some ASL commands. I’m currently completing my masters program so I’d be happy to help with your dear pets and treat them with as much love as my own. I’m currently a masters in occupational therapy student who has recently graduated. I’m studying for my boards exam throughout the summer so I have plenty of flexibility to care for your pet! Within your home I will care for your pets as according to your wishes and rules. I respect your space and the safety of your pet first and foremost so I will always handle them gently and with care. I will make sure they attend to their potty schedule as instructed and reward them if they’re still in training. I’ll clean up after them as needed and ensure they’re following a proper feeding schedule. Finally, I’ll of course make sure they receive the affection and attention they want!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats in my neighborhood. I am relied on to feed and walk them while making them feel safe always! I am currently on my summer before college and have some free time before I go, and I love to meet new animals every day. I do have a fenced in yard for my own animals so they can play and do what they want while being safe. I do not prefer fenced in yard versus walking on a leash because I feel there are benefits to both!
About: I can handle fish, reptiles, birds, cats, dogs, and most farm animals. I can do pop-ins, stay a few hours with your babies or even stay at your home for the entirety of your trip. I am very responsible and have been around animals all my life. I work part-time so I can be available any day with enough notice. I can feed, water, walk, clean the litter box, play with and love on your pets. I will take care of them like they're my own.
“Regina was absolutely amazing- our Tulip loved her and she was so attentive to all the instructions we left. She is a gem amongst Rover pet sitters. I would highly highly recommend her to anyone that is going away and want peace of mind about their beloved pets and home.”

About: I have extensive experience caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to sweet senior dogs. I currently have two dogs of my own who I’ve trained not only in basic commands like sit, stay, and come, but also in more advanced skills such as scent search and cart pulling. I’ve had cats growing up so I’m experienced with their care as well. My hands-on experience means I understand how to meet the unique needs of different pets, whether they’re in the playful stages of puppyhood/kitten or need a little extra patience and care in their golden years. I’m passionate about creating a fun, safe, and enriching environment for every pet I care for! Pet care is a big part of my daily routine, and I make sure to schedule my days around the needs of the animals I care for. This means I have a flexible and open availability to provide consistent, attentive care whenever it’s needed. Whether it’s regular walks, drop-in visits, or overnight stays, I’m able to adjust my schedule to best support you and your pet’s needs. Safety is always my top priority. At my home, I have a secure fenced yard where dogs can safely play and explore under close supervision. I make sure to keep a watchful eye on all pets at all times, whether they’re relaxing inside or enjoying time outside. In a client’s home, I’m equally attentive, respecting their space while providing a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment for their pets. My goal is always to create a caring, trustworthy atmosphere where pets feel right at home.

About: Hi! My name is Ella! I am 18 years old and I’ve always loved animals! I am a college student currently pursuing a degree in music business looking for some extra cash + some extra pet love in my life! I currently work from home so I am always just one call away for any needs or wants! I promise to prioritize ur pup and make sure they feel safe and comfortable while also keeping up with every needed task. I have experience with all kinds of dogs, with all kinds of energy levels. I also have experience with different sizes of dogs, both big and small! I like to incorporate pet care into my daily routine by using it as motivation to get out of the house and workout and go on walks. It is also a perk to wind down and relax with a furry friend! I enjoy the company and the responsibility of caring for someone else. While taking care of your pets I promise to always prioritize your animals, I am always just one text or call away for any reason. I promise to provide constant updates on how your pet is doing + if I have any questions or concerns. I understand that putting something as important as a pet into someone else’s care can be scary but I promise that your pet is safe with me + I will treat it as if it’s my own.

“Marisa did amazing with my 10 week old puppy! She came with prior experience and was very knowledgeable about working with high energy puppies. She practiced training commands with him and went above and beyond just playing and letting him out. She was patient and caring. She sent updates while she was there along with pictures and videos to show me how it was going (which I loved because I was nervous as I'm a first time dog owner). I'm so happy I booked with her. I definitely recommend.”

About: Dogs have been a part of my life since a very young age. From small breeds like Maltese to Great Danes I truly have had a great amount of experience! Moving here from Canada 5 years ago, I had to give up my career at my family owned dog boarding facility. Working there was a dream and allowed me to have extensive knowledge on how to board people’s fur babies. A day on the “farm” would include walks down our secluded trails over to the fresh water ponds that many would love to swim in. As well, I have kept track of over 20 separate dogs feeding schedules, from kibble, raw diets, allergies and even some diabetes needs. Being around dogs is like second nature to me. I am very intuitive and have been raising my own boy for half a decade now. Not only have I worked as a dog boarder before, but I also help out friends from time to time when they need a helping hand! Including cat drop in visits! Please reach out to me if you have any other questions and I look forward to meeting you and your fur best friend soon! My partner and I both work from home so we will be here for your pup all hours of the day. My dog and I wake up at 7:30am and get a nice walk in to start our morning. Then we come back to the house, have some breakfast, and then hangout inside. Normally we go on 2-3 walks a day and also include playtime at the park so we can get a little game of fetch in with the frisbee. I have a large crate for any size dog if needed. We allow dogs on the furniture or even in the bed for some extra cuddles if thats what your pup is used to!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
