We're getting a safety latch for that cabinet under the sink. We won't hesitate to call you again in future.”

“Leah was a great communicator and made me feel comfortable leaving my pets! She made sure to send some photos after every drop in and even brought in my mail for me! I will definitely be using Leah again”

“Marilyn was such an amazing pet sitter! She sent me the sweetest pictures of my cat while we were away and I could tell my cat really enjoyed her visits! About: I’ve had dogs my entire life varying from Yorkies to Pitts, I love all pets and beyond owning dogs i’ve taken care of cats via friends and family! Every dog i have owned has lived to at least 100 in doggy years and they’ve stayed extremely active and happy. I prioritize their comfortability, exercise, health, happiness, and everything in between. I’m working part time at nights on the weekends. Monday-Thursday my days are empty, Friday-Sun i work a 6pm. There’s great time in between to play, meet, and learn your furry families! I have two dogs currently, A Yorkie and a Lab/unsure 😅. I have a tall fence and a very big backyard ample for my even my lab to run far fence to fence. I like to pay attention to everything they do even when if they are not wanting to be bothered. Being a pet mommy myself i tend to pay attention to difference in behavior.
“Sherry was very communicative about our pets and even noticed that our alarm had an error on it and fixed it. She brought in the mail too. One of our cats prefers to be outside so she didn’t see him but made sure that his food was eaten so she knew he was ok.”

About: I have a husky mix and a German shepard, two tuxedo cats and one orange cat. I have always lived with pets and make sure to take the upmost care of them. I am a full time student. I take some classes online so I am pretty much home as much as possible. Gives me a ton of time for walks and play time. My care depends on the pet. Each pet needs are different. My German Shepard demands to play fetch 10 times a hour. My tux cat wants pets 2 times a day ish. I pay attention to each pet so they get the care they want/need.
About: I have 8 years worth of experience working as a kennel attendant at a Veterinary Hospital where I did everything from feeding, walking, and having playtime with pets to bathing, administering meds, and creating detailed report cards with pictures for owners. I was raised by a veterinary technician, and have had both cats and dogs throughout my life. I have also volunteered at rescue shelters, and I am the go-to sitter for my friends and family! I am so excited about meeting your fur baby, and glad to help out in any way that I can! I am currently working from home, and I am a freelance musician, artist, and photographer. So, I make my own hours. I am fexlible, and would love to talk about your schedule (: I usually sit down and have a conversation where we discuss what routine would be the best for you and your pet. I take detailed notes, and do a meet and greet to make sure I am a good fit for your pet, and to make sure they are comfortable around me. I will do my absolute best to accommodate all of your needs, and treat your baby like my own! 🐾
“Ariel has been such huge help with her drop ins! She makes sure that Carmelo is fed, litter box is well kept, and even helps with sweeping up the hairballs 😂 very kind and understanding sitter.”

“Ruth was great with our babies! She really saved us in a last minute pinch. All dogs were safe and happy and she was on time for all her check ins and kept great communication with us. Thanks again Ruth!”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was young. Throughout my childhood I’ve had 2 dogs, 2 birds, some fish, and now 2 cats. My schedule can always be tailored to suit my clients needs. My main hours are during the day, but upon request I can always accommodate. I have a fenced yard for my dog and other dogs as well to play and potty, and a two story home for them to run around in.

“I cannot rave about Lishanty (and Nicole) enough. Absolutely INCREDIBLE sitter service. I don’t know that I have ever met better through this app. Please don’t hesitate to book. Just not when I need to book lol! Already looking at future booking dates!”

About: I have had dogs my whole life. I currently have 3 two bigs one and one medium size one. I walk them all together and they walk well together. I work at the hospital and am off on Wednesdays and weekends so I will have plenty of time to take care of your babies. I have three dogs of my own that get plenty of exercise. I don't have a fenced in yard right now but they are all happy.
“Shirlita is a life saver. This is my first time using the app and I needed a sitter last minute and she was able to come through. She understood my directions to my house and caring for my puppy. Will definitely book her again in the near future.”

“Shania was the answer to my prayers! This has been my first time using a sitter and I was worried about my pets but Shania was so reassuring during the meet and greet. She made and instant connection with my dog and my cat (who never comes out for new ppl) loved her too! She’s so knowledgeable and confident in her expertise. I felt in-the-know at all times about my pets eating schedules, bathroom schedules, and anything else that came up. I’m honestly so grateful to have had the privilege to get so lucky with finding Shania on the very first go round, I never have to go with anyone else! Thank you again, you really gave me peace of mind!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 2,976 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Klondike. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Klondike. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
