Carolyn did a great job for us. We had to make an emergency 10 day trip and our family members that normally watch our dogs were all going with us. We were grateful to find Rover and Carolyn! She came for a meet and greet and we took the dogs for a walk together and went over all the food, treats and yard cleaning needs. She made sure our trash and mail were taken care of as well which was greatly appreciated! She sent us daily visit pics so we knew our "kids" were happy and notes about everything she took care of. I will gladly call on Carolyn if needs arise in the future and I recommend her to you!

Jeren’s drop-in visit w our dog, Remy went well. Remy is not a welcoming sort so Jeren had to be patient about waiting to get to know her for another visit. Jeren was friendly, on time and very patient with our doggie. ?

About: I’ve had many pets and enjoy all types. I can manage any type of instruction or work happily off none. I have a vet tech on speed dial if need be. We owned a dachshund for many years and had to work through his back problems and medication. Miss having him around. Fostered 12 dogs consecutively during covid. Working full time and travel often, but my schedule is flexible and I can work around your needs. From mid afternoon on your pet has my complete and undivided attention. Happy to pet/house sit at your home. I am clean and tidy and can clean up after myself and your pet. I am happy to follow instructions or work out any issues on my own and I manage properties as well so I am familiar with many things beyond pet sitting.

About: I've cared for and have raised many types and sizes of pets. I've witnessed both cat and dog deliveries, raised and pet-sat for neighbors, friends and family. I am able to give medications and eye drops. I currently do not have any pets and would enjoy caring for yours. I am dependable, responsible, and will follow your instructions for care. Thank you. I'm currently working part-time in Prescott Valley. However, I live in Prescott. I can walk animals early mornings before 8:00, at lunch, and after work on those days. I am available for sleepovers Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sundays. Your home, or mine. 😊 Meals and medications will be provided by you, and given as you request. Pets who sleep over will need to be indoor, as I do not have a fenced yard. If crate, and/or leash animals, pls provide items, including toys.

About: Hi, I’m Helin or you can call me Helen. I believe that every animal—whether they have fur, feathers, or a shell—deserves to feel safe, seen, and never lonely. My life has been a journey of caring for all kinds of creatures, and I’ve decided to dedicate myself to this full-time because I truly believe no pet should have to wait by the door alone. My heart has always been most at home with animals. I spent 17 beautiful years with my senior cat, a journey that taught me the importance of patience, soft voices, and the specialized care that aging pets require. Beyond my cat and dog companions, I’ve had the joy of caring for aquatic turtles and birds, so I am very comfortable with the unique rhythms and delicate needs of "non-traditional" pets. By day, I work as a receptionist at an emergency animal clinic. This role has shaped me into a calm, observant caretaker who knows how to listen to what an animal is telling me, even when they can’t speak. I bring that same watchful, protective energy into your home, ensuring your pets are not just fed, but truly cared for. I'm free 4 days of the week and I work full time 3 days of the week but I can make accommodations if I need a day/week off to take care of a pet because pet sitting is the thing I love the most to do. I can take care of your pet in your home, take them out to walks, feed them& play with them using the instructions you provide me.

We scheduled a drop in visit with Claudia while we were gone for about 10 hours. Prior to the drop in Claudia stopped by to meet our 2 dogs, both with should I say unique personalities. Our 9 month old lab who is described by the rescue a skittish was so comfortable. The drop in was a total success, Claudia arrived on time made sure they had some active time in the backyard and use the restroom. Total success, no accidents in the house! Highly recommend’. Thank you

About: Caring for animals has been a lifelong passion of mine. I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of pets, including chickens, snakes, hamsters, parakeets, and litters of cats and dogs. I’ve personally rehabilitated numerous cat and dog rescues, providing consistent care and support to help them heal and thrive. My volunteer experience includes caring for cats at PetSmart and working at an animal sanctuary for farm animals. I approach every pet I care for with love, attention, and respect, ensuring they feel safe, happy, and well cared for at all times. As a remote worker, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide excellent pet care. If there is stable internet, I can accommodate overnight visits even on weekdays. My workday ends at 2:30 PM, giving me plenty of time in the afternoons and evenings to focus on pets' needs. In both my home and my client's home, I bring my deep love for animals to every aspect of care, prioritizing safety, trust, and a nurturing environment. I meticulously ensure all areas are secure and free of hazards while adhering to specific safety instructions from pet owners. My genuine affection for pets drives me to be consistent, attentive, and responsive to their needs, respecting their routines and maintaining open communication with their owners for regular updates. I create a calming and enriching environment, keeping their usual routines, providing engaging activities, and showering them with the affection they deserve. My passion for animals ensures they feel loved, secure, and well-cared for, whether in my home or theirs.

FAQs for Drop-In Visits - Kirkland

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
