About: Hi, I'm Missy! I've been caring for animals my entire life and owned my own pet-sitting business, Pet Sitting by Missy, since 2014. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, and other pets of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior pets who need extra patience and attention. I understand that every pet is unique, and I take the time to learn their routines, personalities, and special needs. I have experience administering medications, caring for senior pets, and providing comfort to anxious animals. My goal is to make pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. What sets me apart is my genuine love for animals, reliability, and dedication to treating every pet as if they were my own. I know how important trust is when leaving your pets in someone else's care, and I pride myself on being dependable, attentive, and compassionate. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable care, attention, exercise, feeding, and companionship throughout the day. I understand the importance of consistency for pets and strive to maintain their normal routines as closely as possible. Whether it's morning walks, midday check-ins, evening visits, or overnight care, I make sure each pet receives the time, attention, and care they deserve. When caring for pets in a client's home, I focus on keeping them comfortable by maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible. I follow all instructions regarding feeding, exercise, medications, and any special needs. I provide plenty of attention, playtime, companionship, and updates so owners can feel confident their pets are safe and well cared for while they are away. Safety is always my top priority. I pay close attention to pets' behavior, ensure doors and gates are secure, and make sure they are supervised appropriately. I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would expect for my own.

About: Hi my name is Michael. I am a current senior at Wilkes who is looking to get involved in the local community. I have spent several years caring for dogs. I have two of my own at home in Stroudsburg (pit mixes), and in high school and over breaks I have pet sat and walked dogs for over a dozen homes in my community. I take pride in being a student leader and a future educator, as well as being responsible, dependable, and knowledgeable. For instance, I am well versed in dog body language, basic obedience, and many different breeds and personalities (small to big, guardian breeds, I love them all!). I am happy to reinforce the rules, expectations, and training that you have with your pet, or teach small new things like leash manners. Whether your dog needs to burn some energy, or just needs someone to check in on them throughout the week, I hope that you will consider me! Being a college student, my schedule is actually pretty flexible. I am generally available for: Morning/Midday walks/check-ins throughout the work week. Afternoon and evening visits on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Weekend stays or longer visits potentially as well. If you have any questions please reach out and I can see if we can work something out! Being a pet parent myself, I understand the varying needs and concerns when it comes to a pet sitter. Because of that, I take time to speak with all owners about expectations, routines, and how they would like me to approach their home and pets. I usually like to meet all pets with the owners before beginning care as well, simply to ensure that they are comfortable with me. Generally, I will also take notice and respond to any body language or comfort concerns, exercise and training expectations, feeding and medication routines, and any other requests that an owner or pet may bring! If you have any questions please also reach out!

About: I have health care experience from my daily career and I've been taking care of all kinds of pets since I was a little girl. This includes several kitten rescues and rehoming. My little girl abby was a recue. Feeding, grooming, litter care needs, emotional support, love, time, and attention all go towards my cat at home on a daily basis. It's a labor of love. I would approach each clients needs with focus on respect, reliability, attention to details, and loving care towards each clients pet. I understand each clients needs will be individual.

About: When I was young I had 5 cats, Yuna, Spooky, Toby, Rose, and JD, rest in peace, I loved them all a lot and they were with me for a long time, especially Yuna. But now I have 2 Cats, one of which is in the room with me as I write this Bio. His name is Spuds, there's a second one, a Black Cat called Casper who's definitely a handful, but regardless I love the two beyond measure. I've taken care of the two as long as I've had them. My experience isn't just limited to Cats, as I've been around Dogs just as long as I've been with Cats. My mother growing up was a Dog Walker, so I naturally have a lot of second-hand experience with Dog Walking and know the basics. She'd take me and my sister all across Brooklyn 5 days a week to walk 3 Dogs, sometimes more. Furthermore my big brother has a Pitbull mix, whom I've also walked plenty of times. This may be my first time as an actual dogwalker/pet sitter, but I'm certainly not inept. This is my first job, so you better believe I have more than enough free time to take care of your pet, no matter what time of day. Unless of course I have other things to do, such as errands, or any other responsibilities that come up, but you will obviously be warned and told about said responsibilities in advance. I play and cuddle my Cats a ton everyday, along with feeding them and cleaning their litterboxes. And with Dogs, I know how much they need their outside time, so I'd obviously take them outside for Walks or fresh air routinely. I may have less experience with other pets, but so long as you give me proper details on how to take care of them, I could care for just about any pet you ask. Be it Rabbits, Turtles, Lizards, etc.

About: Hi, I'm Robyn, a lifelong animal lover with over 10 years of trusted experience caring for dogs & cats of all breeds, ages, and personalities. I've grown up with a variety of animals my entire life (cats, dogs, guinea pigs, turtles, mice). For the past decade, I've been the go to pet sitter and dog walker for family and friends. Whether it’s high energy pups or senior cats who just want some company, I treat every pet like my own with patience, love, and attention to their unique needs. Before I was old enough to work, I spent time volunteering at a local animal shelter during my teen years. It gave me early hands on experience caring for animals with all kinds of personalities and needs, and helped shape my lifelong love and respect for animals. Right now, I share my home with a 5 year old beagle named Scout who I’ve raised since he was a puppy. Whether you're looking for reliable walks, drop ins, or overnight care, you can count on me to keep your pet safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I send regular updates and photos, and I always follow your care instructions to the letter. I can’t wait to meet your furry family member! As a stay at home mom, I'm home and active throughout the day, which allows me to fit pet care into my regular routine. During the school year I'm available for walks and visits from 9am-2pm during the week, and I have full day availability on Sunday. During the summer I have full availability Sunday-Tuesday. I'm used to planning my days around care and routines, so incorporating pet care feels like a natural fit. Whether it's a morning walk to start the day, a dinner time drop in, or extended weekend care, I make sure every pet gets the time, attention, and consistency they deserve. When caring for pets in their own home, I always follow the pet parent's instructions closely to ensure consistency and comfort for their pet. I'm very detail oriented and make sure routines, feeding, medications, and preferences are followed exactly as requested. I also let the pet guide the pace of our interactions whether that means playtime, cuddles, or simply being a calm, reassuring presence. My goal is to make them feel safe, respected, and as relaxed as possible while you're away

About: I've taken care and rescued all sorts of animals from guinea pigs to giant pitties. I have been in rescue for about 9 years. It comes out of pocket, but if I don't save them or help who will? I am also good at medication injection and oral administration of medication as well. I can do walks, check in's, doggy day care, house sit, etc. I will accommodate your needs for your furbaby. I am not afraid of bigger dogs as most people might be. I think of them as giant teddy bears. I will send plenty of updates and pictures as I know leaving your furbaby with a stranger can be absolutely nerve wrecking. Whatever makes my customer happy I will be more than willing to meet their request. Just give me instruction, your furbabies name, any allergies, medications, walk/yard time and frequency, feeding schedule, and any other information you see fit and I guarantee your precious furbaby will find a new friend! I am currently employed part time and in school part time this semster over at Johnson College for Veterinary Nursing. My schedule is pretty packed, but I will make accommodations with you to accommodate the needs of your furbabies or ones with scales. I moved in March of last year so boarding at the new place might be a bit busy. I do have enough room to accommodate at least 3 dogs. I don't have a fenced in yard at my apartment however I love to take them on long walks. I have walked dogs of all sizes. Super tiny to 100+lbs. I also have my own pupper Krypto so if boarding at my home please make sure your dog is other dog friendly as well as cats. I have 2 cats, 1 dog, 1 rat and a goldfish. If you are looking to board in my home I suggest a meet & greet to make sure your furbabies and mine are safe for their stay. I care for my clients furbabies like they are my own. I make sure the furbabies are happy and healthy. I will make sure my clients needs and wants are met. If you need me to watch them at your house, your house will be treated like my home. I will make sure your home is like you left it. I love to send updates because I know leaving your furbabies is really nerve wrecking.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was eight. Not only my own personal pets, but also those of friends and family members. I do not currently have any pets, but I love animals, so this is my way to interact and spend time with them! I currently attend school, but my classes are spread out and only on certain days so I have plenty of time to take your dog on a nice, long walk. I'm really good as being able to tell if an animal is comfortable in a situation or not, so after our first walk, I can find the most enjoyable route for your dog!

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Rhavin. From the very beginning she was reliable, communicative, and clearly someone who genuinely cares about animals. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my dog was in such attentive and capable hands. She showed up on time, sent thoughtful updates, and made sure my dog got plenty of exercise and attention. She took my dog to the doggie bakery with my permission and got him a treat. Above and beyond. You can tell she takes her job seriously and treats every pet like her own. My dog absolutely loved her, which says everything. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and kind to care for your pet, I highly recommend her. I would happily book with her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
