“My wife and I are very protective of our little dachshund Wella. When we read Julie's first response to our request, we knew right away that she and her family were the mature and responsible people we could trust to watch our dog. Julie sent multiple updates and photos to us while she had Wella, and that was very nice and reassuring. They did so great with Wella that she seemed to want to stay longer! The kids played so much with Wella that she needed to sleep in the next day! Great experience with Julie and her family and We are looking forward to using her again !!”
About: I've been professionally caring for pets for over four years through my home-based pet sitting business, Yech's Pet Haven. I am also a licensed boarding facility, giving pet parents added peace of mind that their dogs are staying in a safe and compliant environment. During that time, I've cared for dogs of all ages, breeds, and sizes, including puppies, seniors, and pets with special routines or medications. I have experience safely managing multiple dogs, supervising playtime, and making sure every pet receives the individual attention they deserve. Growing up surrounded by animals, including dogs, horses, and goats, has given me a lifelong understanding of animal behavior and care. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, low-stress environment where every pet feels right at home while you're away. Pet care is a big part of my daily routine. Since I run a home-based boarding facility, I am able to provide frequent attention, potty breaks, playtime, walks, and supervision throughout the day. I keep my boarding numbers small so each pet receives personalized care and plenty of one-on-one attention. My schedule is built around making sure every dog feels comfortable, safe, and cared for while their family is away. I provide a safe, calm, and loving home environment where pets can relax and feel comfortable. As a licensed boarding facility, I prioritize cleanliness, safety, and responsible pet care. I carefully manage introductions, supervise interactions, and separate pets during meals, rest time, or whenever needed. I follow each pet’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise needs, and individual preferences, so they feel right at home.
“Christy was awesome! She was very friendly and welcoming and sent me lots of pictures of our pup during his stay! We will defiantly be using her again and would highly recommend her services!”

I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting, and I’m experienced with puppies, seniors, large breeds, and cats every personality and age is welcome here! I take her on daily walks and I would do the same for your fur baby. I love animals that is the reason that I'm decide to work doing something that I will enjoy and do it happly. If you decide to give the honnor to care of your pet you will no regret. I have the time and the patience I am smart and agile. Never discourage anyone...who continually makes progress, no matter how slow. Plato. I work a standard weekday schedule from 7 AM to 4 PM, meaning my late afternoons and evenings are completely free after 4 PM for walks, drop-ins, and playtime. My weekends are fully open! “If you want your pet to feel loved and safe, please book with Lynn. She was absolutely wonderful and took such great care of my naturally anxious dog. Haven had an absolute blast! Lynn and her family are kind and caring, and I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for pet care.”

“Lennox always seems happy after his stays with Carissa and Judge and leaps out of the car as soon as we get to her house to see her and his best buddy! It’s comforting to know that he looks forward to the stays and feels comfortable going there - one less thing to worry about while traveling…..”

“I was looking for a last minute sitter and my coworker told me about Rover. I found Debbie and Phil on the app and got a quick response. We did a meet and greet two days later and I was blown away by the size of the yard (all fenced in). For the price of a kennel, Debbie and Phil took amazing care of my Australian Shepard. They sent me daily pictures and videos and my dog Daisy had a blast running around with their other dogs. Skip the kennel, these guys are great! Your dog will thank you. Thanks Phil and Debbie.”

“Tanjida and her husband are absolutely wonderful. They’ve very gentle, loving, and warm. They paid attention to Minks allowing her to open up and be hee loving self. Tanjida sent pictures and updates throughout the two days.”

About: My husband and I are animal lovers in general and dog lovers in particular. We always worry when boarding our own dogs and, now that we've retired, we wanted to provide a "home like" boarding service for other dog lovers. We have 2 rooms dedicated for the dogs to roam free. Sofa for lounging and television or music available during their stay. Bright sunlight and large windows. We have a large kennel that is outside and the dogs are free to come and go through a doggie door in our kitchen. We have many years experience caring for dogs and our family currently includes 2 bichon Frise. They are both peaceful and friendly and love meeting new dog friends. We wanted to provide a reasonably priced animal boarding service close to home. We are located in Hunlock Creek, 25 minutes from Dallas or Wilkes-Barre, 15 minutes from Nanticoke. Drop off time is anytime from 9AM on and Pick up time is by noon or you must schedule another day. If special times are needed let us know. We will also board birds and small pets at a lower rate. Ask us. Please visit us to see our home ! We are retired and available most days full time - check the calendar. All boarders roam free during the day and sleep on floor or in bed you provide at night. Feedings and treats on daily schedule. Daily exercise in yard if good weather. Dogs roam our secured house freely. Will either be on leash or on zip run if in yard. If dogs need to be separated we have a room we use for that purpose. If your dog likes to sleep in kennel please bring with you or we will provide a kennel or cage (extra fee).
“Our dog usually gets whiny and needy when we go away without her. But she wasn’t acting like that after being with Imani for almost 7 days. In fact our dog seemed a little sad to leave Imani. All I can say is thank you for taking good care of our dog!!”

“If I could give more than five stars, I would—honestly, this was one of the most above-and-beyond experiences we’ve ever had with any service, not just dog sitting. From the very beginning, she was kind, communicative, and incredibly professional—but what truly blew us away was everything that happened *after* we booked her for what was supposed to be just a single day. Due to unexpected circumstances on our end, that one day turned into three… and she handled it with nothing but grace, flexibility, and genuine care. Not once did she make us feel like it was an inconvenience. In fact, she reassured us the entire time and treated our dog like her own. She kept us updated regularly with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. You could tell our dog was not only well cared for, but truly happy and comfortable. It’s rare to find someone who connects so naturally with animals, but she absolutely does. And then—when we thought we couldn’t possibly be more impressed—she somehow raised the bar even higher. She went out of her way to return our dog to us, taking not one but TWO Ubers to make sure everything worked out smoothly. Who does that?! That level of dedication, effort, and positivity is almost unheard of. The entire time, she maintained the most amazing attitude—warm, patient, and completely unbothered—when most people would understandably be stressed or frustrated. It’s hard to put into words just how grateful we are. She didn’t just “watch our dog”—she showed kindness, flexibility, and a level of commitment that genuinely meant a lot to us during a stressful situation. If you are even *considering* booking with her, do it immediately. She is reliable, compassionate, communicative, and truly goes the extra mile (literally and figuratively). We would trust her again in a heartbeat and will absolutely be booking with her in the future. Thank you again for everything—you are truly one of a kind!”

“Eileen was great! She took care of my kitten (Charlie) for 20 days and updated me with pictures and information about him throughout his stay with her. At first she was slow to respond to my messages before taking Charlie in but was great during his stay. I would be happy to recommend her to anyone.”

About: Hello all, I've owned cats, dogs, and horses for over 20 years now and was their main caregiver starting at 8 y.o. I've worked at many horse barns and pet sitter for many many friends over the years. I have skills in pet healthcare (administering medication, baths, cutting nails, etc), young animals, dog & horse training, rescue animals, and elderly animals. I do my best to provide stress free care for your pets. I am currently working from home full-time! So there is always someone around to take care of your pet! My husband and I mostly like to relax and unwind at home with the occasional dinner date or movie, but are flexible and will be upfront with owners if their pet’s needs cannot be met! When pets are in my home, I always take note of the their state of wellness, looking for stress or anything out of the ordinary. I also will inspect the environment to ensure dangerous items (small items/chocolate/other) are out of reach. While we do not have a fenced in backyard we do have a lunge line that will allow your pet to enjoy running around in the backyard but provides a limit so pets do not go near the back alley road! I make sure pets have access to water at all times. I am able to administer medications easily whether it is as simple as pill pockets or even injections. We also have two dogs of our own as well as a cat! Geordi is a 10 year old Australian Cattle dog who is energetic but respects other pets space, Thor is a 1 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi who loves other playmates, and Wynnona is that our 4 year old cat who tends to mind her own business!
“Mary did a great job. She sent us regular pictures and kept our energetic dog active and entertained. We picked our dog up much later in the day than we thought but Mary was very flexible w our schedule and stayed up till we arrived. I'd say she went above and beyond to take care of our pooch!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs my entire life and have experience with a wide variety of breeds both small and large and everything in between. Every dog has its own personality, energy level and unique needs. I take the time to understand each dog’s communication style so they feel comfortable, safe and loved while in my care. Your pup will receive plenty of attention, affection, playtime, and personalized care. Although my Rover profile is new, my experience with dogs is not. As a Rover customer myself, I realized there was a real need for reliable, loving pet sitters in our area. After seeing how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your pet, I decided to become a caregiver myself. I’m home weekday evenings and all weekends. I have reliable transportation and pride myself on being dependable. Whether you need care planned in advance, have a last-minute schedule change or just life’s short notice events, I will do my best to be there for you and your pets. If my book states unavailable, please message regardless as I may be able to accommodate your requests. My home is a safe, dog and puppy-friendly environment with a fully fenced yard for supervised outdoor time. If providing drop in and walking services, I will respect your property and leave your home and pets as secured as found.
“Jennifer and Jon were fantastic!! Our 8 month old King Charles Spaniel was taken care of and treated like family. We were sent pictures and videos throughout the weekend and were kept updated about Maisy’s activities. It was wonderful to go away for the weekend and have no worries that our puppy was in great hands. We will definitely have our precious puppy stay with them again!! We give Jennifer and Jon our highest recommendation without reservation!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Kingston
Adam was wonderful with Scout! I was a little nervous about boarding him since he usually stays with family, but Adam and his family truly made it feel like he was staying with relatives of his own. He sent regular updates and pictures throughout Scout's stay, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Every photo showed Scout looking happy, comfortable, and cozying up to everyone. It was clear he was getting plenty of attention and affection. When we picked Scout up, he was happy, healthy, and clearly well cared for. Adam made it so easy to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing Scout was in great hands. We're incredibly grateful for the care he provided and would absolutely trust him with Scout again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
