“Skylar is great! She watched our two dogs for 3 nights and took great care of them and our house. She sent photos every day, and the pups were super calm when we came home. They got tons of playtime, walks and cuddles. We would book Skylar again in a heartbeat!”

“Allison was extremely communicative and helpful with our pups! She even looked after an eye problem and gave meds 3 times per day for us while we were gone. Would highly recommend!”

“Leanne was the best sitter we could have asked for. Our travels plans got messed up and the pups had some medical issues pop up and she kept us so informed and the dogs taken care of. She absolutely went above and beyond for them, and made sure they got plenty of exercise as well!”

“Stephanie was just what we needed for a quick get away. She have consistent updates and not too much or not too little communication. Professional and courteous! Thank you!”

“Catherine was wonderful! It was such a last minute booking, but she responded so quickly. It was a genuine relief to have her come and look after my dog and cat on such short notice. Both my dog and cat are of geriatric age and have differing needs with both having different medical conditions. She listened to our concerns and took our pet care instructions seriously. She comforted my dog who has severe separation anxiety and somehow managed to persuade my cat with princess-like standards to eat her entire can of cat food. Throughout the night, she responded quickly and sent pictures and updates. I would definitely book with her again the next time I am traveling with my pets in the Knoxville or Gatlinburg region.”

“We just recently moved to Knoxville and had been a little anxious about finding a new dog sitter. Courtney was such a great sitter to our two sweet pups while we were on vacation. We got a lot of picture and message updates throughout our trip. She also made sure the girls were cared for up until we got home when we were running behind due to traffic! We will definitely be hiring again in the future ☺️”

About: I have always had a deep love for all animals but especially dogs and cats! I’ve had a dog (beagle mix) for 12 years and a cat for 5. I often pet sit for friends and family when they’re out of town which includes feeding, walking, playing, and making sure their animals feel as comfortable as possible while their person is away from home. I’m reliable, patient, and attentive to each pet’s individual needs. Whether your pet is active or naps all day, I will treat them like my own and make sure they get all the love and care they need! Additionally- I understand how important communication is (I’m a Communication major!) and will keep you updated with lots of pictures and videos! I’m available for drop in visits, walks, and sitting throughout the week. I’m reliable and will always shows up on time. I’m more than happy to accommodate to your pets schedule and needs! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. I will ensure your pet is always in a clean, secure, and calm environment along with following any and all instructions provided. I will never leave pets unattended in any unsafe situation. Additionally, I will treat your home with the upmost respect and leave everything as I found it. I also make sure to provide consistent updates (pictures and videos) of your pet while your away to ensure your loved one is well taken care of!
“Kymber was wonderful! We hadn't left our dogs with anyone other than family in about a year, and one of our dogs was a recent tripawd. We were very anxious leaving them, but Kymber took such great care of them and was very communicative! She sent pictures and gave regular updates. Our house was also clean when we got home! Thanks Kymber!!”

“Taylor did an amazing job watching all our animals! I got a lot of updates and when we came back, our animals were happy and the house was immaculate! We will definitely be using him again to house sit for us!”

About: I've had a love for animals since I was a toddler. Growing up, I use to visit my grandparents place and play with their dogs. And even though I liked being around animals in general, dogs were always my favorite to be around. And then eventually, I started having dogs of my own and learned how to take care of them. At the moment, I'm currently working part-time but am always looking to pet sit for extra income. I'm available throughout most of the week for drop-in visits and occasional overnight house sitting throughout summer breaks and holidays. I always clean up after myself when in the company of other peoples homes. And while looking after your fur babies in your home, I will make sure to clean up after them as well. Another thing that's important for me when caring for your pets is knowing their needs. This is because I want to make sure while sitting that I'm caring for your pets in the absolute best way I can. That they will be loved and cared well for as if they were my own.
“Tate was so wonderful and the animals adored him. Great with communicating and was very respectful and took great care of our home as well. We will definitely have Tate back again.”

“Angela was absolutely amazing. She exceeded our expectations. We are typically very skeptical of meeting new people on Rover. Our dog is just as picky. He took to her right away and couldn't leave her alone. She communicated with us every step of the way. She sent pictures and updated us as she came and went. She left our home in the same condition it was in when she left. We will most definitely be using her in the future! Thank you again so much Angela!”

About: Since I was a teen, I've always been the go-to person asked to pet sit for people when they went on vacation. I've done it for 10+ years. I recently graduated from law school in May, and I am currently studying for the BAR. I would love to make some money on the side, caring for your special guys and girls! Currently, I have full availability because my sole focus is studying for the BAR. So I can make myself available at any time day or night! I love animals, and I recognize how much they crave attention, especially when they're missing their owner. I would love to provide that necessary attention in your absence. I will make sure that your place is the same as it was when I got there. With a fresh litter box cleaning for cats.
“Helena took great care of my dog and gave her lots of love! She went above and beyond giving her walks and playing with her while we were gone, and took good care of the house too. Would book her again!”

About: I’ve house sat, pet sat, baby sat, since I was in high school! I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life. I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Speech Language Pathology at UT and am looking for some furry friends to hang out with between studying! I’m currently in school so my schedule is more open than working a 9-5! This summer I have several days a week completely open and am super flexible! There’s nothing I love more than giving love and care to your fur babies! I’m ready to care for the littlest puppies to our senior citizens!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Kingsley Station
Literally the best! I recently moved to Knoxville and brought a very anxious pup with me. I was really worried about leaving him while I had to travel for a weekend (especially on 4th of July weekend, he’s terrified of fireworks). Anna went above and beyond to reassure me of his wellbeing and sent a plethora of pictures! She also watched my cat too (she is pretty self sufficient hehe) and Anna even made sure to send pictures of her as well! Will definitely be booking again very soon!

I am SO glad I found Hattie on Rover! I was nervous to leave my puppy here and she made everything easy and stress free. She sent me the sweetest updates, was so communicative and amazing to work with. If you’re looking for someone, book her! I’ll definitely be a repeat customer! ☺️

Ethan was a great communicator. I adopted a rescue earlier this year who's very skittish with strangers. Ethan communicated behaviors and what he did, which was appropriate. Poor pups didn't get a walk because he wouldn't let Ethan put a leash on him. This dog has decided I'm his person and he's not taking chances! But he wasn't traumatized upon my return so I know Ethan's energy was a good match. My house is also under contract and Ethan was able to adapt to changing demands to accommodate.

Stephanie was great taking care of pets while she was housesitting. She followed our instructions well and went above and beyond with pet care. She was even able make additional last minute visit to take care of our pets due to our flight getting delayed for 6 hours. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone who may need her service.

Emma watched our dog while we were visiting my family for the holidays in Seattle and was great. She stayed at our home for four nights and constantly updated us on how he was doing and was a great communicator. When she left she even washed the sheets from our guest room and made sure all our mail and packages were left neatly on our dining room table. I would highly recommend Emma to watch your pets, and we will definitely be using her to watch our dog next time we’re out of town!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Kingsley Station walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Kingsley Station maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kingsley Station choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
