My family has fostered dogs for the past few years, and we’ve had at least one family dog since I was born. I pet sit for my neighbors and family friends often, both cats and dogs alike, and have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities!

I don’t believe in using fear tactics to punish dogs, such as time-outs or spraying them with water. Instead, I promote positive behaviors by engaging with them happily and giving them treats (if permitted) when they do something they’re supposed to do! With my clients, I take pets on walks or do a scheduled play time for as long as is requested, and I make sure they’re comfortable and fed every time I visit! If overnight or all-day stay is needed for particularly clingy pets, I’m completely open to discussing hours for that, and will never leave a pet alone or push it away if it needs a person there!

Rachel was great with our three dogs, gave them lots of exercise, snuggles, and snacks, all as needed (and sometimes demanded by our puppy). Will be booking her again in the future.
Rachel is wonderful with dogs, cats, and pets of all kinds! As the daughter of a family that fosters dogs, she always treats every animal as if it were her own, which speaks to her extreme care and consideration for them. She is patient with each animal and takes the time to understand their individual needs. My dogs (all three of them!) absolutely adore her and are always so excited to see her because they know it means nothing but snuggles, walks, and loads of attention.
Rachel stayed with my two "pandemic baby" cats during our first trip out of town without them. She came over in advance to learn about their care, accepted the obnoxious word document we printed out about them, and seemed truly excited about spending time with them. She sent us pictures and videos while we were away, answered all my texts—which I honestly tried to keep minimal, lol—and the cats had plenty of food, a clean litterbox, a tidy house, and were quite content when we came home. She also sent me a few updates about their antics. I felt so much better knowing she was there and would definitely have her cat sit again.
Rachel has pet sat for my deaf 5.5yo Australian Shepherd a few times and we are all looking forward to more! She could happily play with him for hours and he would happily let her! Very reliable, trustworthy, grounded. We're lucky to have her so close by. :)
We have a lot of pets - dogs, a cat, several birds, and a lot of fish - and Rachel is great with all of them. She loves animals in all forms, and they all love her right back! Rachel is responsible and eager to help, and I recommend her wholeheartedly.

Harmonogram
On the daily I take care of my family dogs. I take them on morning walks, make sure they don’t eat each other’s food, and give them PLENTY of play time, pets, and loves! I’m also well-versed in caring for anxious dogs, as our medium-size dog is very nervous at most hours of the day.
