“Brandon is an amazing dog sitter! He treated all of our dogs like his own and was super dependable. He came over and met the dogs prior to his first stay with them and got along great. He isn’t afraid of asking questions and is very kind. We will definitely be using him again.”

“Lauran did an excellent job! She was very communicative and took great care of our dogs and the house. She sent pictures and videos along with updates. Would book her again!”

“Kate was great! She was super communicative and sent us lots of pictures while we were gone. We could tell our pup had good exercise and was well taken care of while we were gone, and our house was just as we left it. We will definitely book Kate again in the future!”

“Kayle was such a wonderful dog/house sitter. We received regular, thorough updates the entire time we were gone. We came back to a happy pup and a super clean house. 10/10 would recommend and will be rebooking!”

“Joanna was excellent at all stages of the process! She is thorough, and kept me informed about Cash while we were gone, sending pictures and updates frequently. Cash really warmed up to her and we will definitely book with Joanna in the future. Thank you!”

“Ryo did a great job for our 10 night house/cat-sit. Great communication, sent plenty of pictures, and I know that our three shy cats were definitely building that comfort and familiarity you all hope for in a house or pet sitter. Only feedback is the water bowls needed one last top-up, but not the end of the world. Overall Ryo was super respectful of our space, and left everything in its place. You'll be our first choice for future cat and house sitting needs if you're interested Ryo, that's for sure! Thanks again so much.”

“Jocelyn was great with our dog Winston. He's very nervous but he took to Jocelyn really quickly. Communication was excellent and we have already rebooked!”

“Donai was amazing with our boys! She catered to each of their individual needs & quirks so well- they were so happy in every picture she sent over. She left the house in perfect condition, even better than we left it. She was so responsive & wonderful- will absolutely be booking her again!!”

“Alan did really good job caring for Peyton. Did everything I had asked for. I plan on using again next time I need someone to care for my black lab. Highly recommended. Thanks”

“Ava was great! She is one of the best sitters I have had so far, she did exactly everything that I asked if her. I loved all of the picture she sent throughout the day and that made me feel at ease although I was 300 miles away. My apartment felt even cleaner than I left it! My cat was seemed happy and content when I came back - she wasn’t clingy at all like she didn’t miss me much lol. I would definitely ask Ava to sit my place again. Highly recommend her.”

“Patrick did a wonderful job taking care of Zenna! He kept me updated regarding their daily adventures and gave her the exercise she needs. This is one of the few times she did not beg me for a walk once I returned home. I will certainly be using Patrick again.”

About: I’ve cared for & loved animals my whole life & will ensure your/their needs are met & exceeded. I’ve utilized sitters myself in the past & would like to provide a far better experience for our fur babies than what I have encountered. I can be available pretty much 24/7 depending on your needs. I will follow whatever schedule is best for your fur baby. Its important to make them feel as little disruption to their routine as possible. I’ve a private home w/ plenty of quiet space to promote comfortable, low stress atmosphere while your babies are away from home. Attentiveness is my priority

About: My childhood pets were a 180 lbs Great Dane/English Mastiff mix and an 8 lbs chihuahua, so I can care for dogs of any size. I have done countless hours of research on animals, especially dogs and their behavior, since I was young. I am great at keeping dogs calm and love taking them on walks and can work on leash training for those than need it, weather permitting. If the weather isn't cooperating, I have multiple indoor activities to keep your pet occupied as well! I brush shedding animals and I give baths. I give massages to dogs, especially seniors and our buff babies, which has a myriad of benefits. Administering medications isn't a problem for me at all, and neither is caring for animals with behavioral issues. I love taking and sharing pictures and will keep you in the loop to whatever degree you would like. I worked at a kennel for a year, but the care of the dogs was rapidly and I could no longer be a part of it, so I recently left. I also volunteer at the Kentucky Humane Society. I recently quit my job at a boarding facility because I didn't like how the animals were being treated and I am in the process of creating a business dedicated to petsitting. I'd spend majority of my time with your pet, whether it is at your home, at the park, going on a car ride, or some other adventure. There may be times I leave, but I won't be gone longer than 4 hours at a time, or I will inform you beforehand if it's unavoidable. I will care for your pet how you instruct me to and will not do anything without your express permission, which I will ask for before I stay with your pet. I have a basic questionnaire that I will ask you to fill out beforehand as well so I can keep it in my records. For animals under 15 lbs (other than hybrid indoor/outdoor cats), I will never leave them outside alone just for the off chance there are predatory animals. If there is no physical fence, the same rule applies for animals of all size, even if there is one of those invisible fences. If the feels-like temperature is over 85 degrees or under 35 degrees no matter the size or breed, I do not take the dogs on walks and I limit the time they are outside at a time. Certain sizes, breeds, and medical conditions may make the cut off temperatures change (i.e. pugs will not be walked when it's 80 degrees). How hot the concrete is also plays a part, but I base that on how it feels on my own hand. Animals that enjoy it receive massages, especially seniors and our buff pets. I brush them, play with them, and I have indoor games and activities for them for when the weather isn't cooperating, many that provide mental stimulation. When I'm petsitting, I treat the animal exactly as I would want my own to be treated--for them to follow instructions and to engage with them. When it comes to emergencies and vet visits, that is a case by case basis and if you want more information, please contact me!
“Annika was an excellent dog sitter! She was a great communicator and sent pics and videos of our pup while we were away. We would absolutely book Annika again without hesitation!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Kingsley
Kaley is absolutely the best! She keeps Faith in her daily routine and takes wonderful care of our home, too. We love her daily updates and Faith always seems so happy and well cared for when we return. We can’t recommend Kaley enough, and we’ll continue to book with her whenever we can!

Stephanie is amazing! She not only took exceptional care of our two high energy pups but is also extremely in tune with pet behavior. She gave me knowledgeable insights into how the dogs act and play together which will help immensely with their training. I can't recommend her enough- you won't be disappointed!

Donovan was very sweet with our 3 dogs. They are usually pretty nervous when they meet new people, but Donovan has a very soothing energy and the dogs calmed down really quickly. We felt good about the care Don a provided, especially since each of our boys has their own special food. Thanks, Donovan!
This was my second time booking with Lauran, and once again she was absolutely wonderful! Having someone I can trust with my two cats gives me so much peace of mind while we're away. She kept me updated with photos and messages, made sure my cats were well cared for, and even managed to earn the trust of my very shy cat, which says a lot! It's clear she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after and goes above and beyond to make sure they're comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring pet sitter!

What a wonderful experience we had with Kaylynn. My high anxiety puppy really loved staying with her. I had no worries whatsoever while we were away. This was our second experience with Kaylynn and I would not hesitate to book with her again. She was on time, professional, and just a pleasure.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Kingsley walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Kingsley maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kingsley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kingsley. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
