“Candace is great to work with. I reached out for dog walking my two rescues. They have some quirks and she manages them well. I’m happy she’s available when I need her. I will use her service again.”

“Jessica was great, she contacted me about needs and expectations before scouts walk and stopped by for a meet and greet! She really cared for scout on her check in and even made sure she had plenty of water before she left! Will definitely be using Jessica again.”

About: For the past 12 years I've worked as a full time dog walker and pet sitter. Before that I worked as a Vet Assistant for which I went to school for. I was trained on handling pets in stressful situations, prepping and assisting in surgeries, administering medications and injections. I'm available for dog walking and pet sitting Monday through Sunday. I have very open availability and can work with the owners to figure out a schedule that works best for them. I service all of Albuquerque. I do not provide services for Placitas, East Mountains or Rio Rancho, I can provide pet sitting in my home. I can do pet sitting in your home and can go by as often as needed for as long as needed. I do not take my clients dogs to dog parks. I also never allow them off leash nor do I use retractable leashes. I can provide my own leash if necessary.

“My dog got two awesome walks today thanks to Robert and Holly. The walks were long and I loved being able to see the map of where they went. Good pics were sent. My dog said hello when I got home and then fell right asleep! I think she had a very good day. I look forward to hiring them for my next outing.”

“Tabitha has truly been a life saver. She is quick to respond and she always has a great positive attitude. Whenever something comes up, she is always willing to help and my dog LOVES her!!”

“I’ve been working with Erich for the past week, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! He has been a huge help in improving my dog Cosmo's behavior on walks. Erich has gone above and beyond in not only walking Cosmo but also helping with little training moments that have already made a noticeable difference. He’s incredibly communicative and always keeps me updated, which I really appreciate. It’s clear he genuinely cares about Cosmo’s well-being. I’ve loved working with him and will definitely continue scheduling with Erich moving forward!”

About: I have grown up with animals and taken care of my friends and family's pets for years. I can walk, feed and play with your dog or cat! I can be available in the mornings and evenings on weekdays and nearly anytime on weekends, I am flexible with hours! Depending on the day, I can also do check-ins during the lunch hour (midday). I will take your dog for a walk, feed and play with your animal. I will make sure everything is clean and locked up when I leave your home.

About: Growing up around dogs of all breeds has taught me about their unique personalities, preferences, and safety. I believe every animal deserves love and pampering—whether they’re couch potatoes or full of energy, I adapt quickly! Comfortable with both small and large dogs, I’ve seen it all—so nothing fazes me. As a big advocate for exercise, I’ll make sure active pups get plenty of walks. And don’t worry—your pet will get all the love and care they deserve. I’ve got plenty to give! I currently have an open schedule as I am returning to school come the fall semester. Once that begins, I will still be very open as most of my classes are online. I stick to their routine, dietary needs, and favorite activities (walks, playtime, or cuddles!). Safety and love come first, and I always keep owners updated. Dogs enjoy structured outings, while cats get play or space, depending on their mood. I adapt to each pet’s unique personality to keep them happy and comfortable!

“My dog takes special handling. Kristen gets that and she gets him. She takes excellent care of my baby while I’m away, and I will always use her as long as she is a part of this service.”

About: I have always had dogs in my life! I’ve taken care of large dogs of various breeds as well as small pups. I enjoy the different personalities that each dog has and would love to take care of yours! We have a 4 year old Lab that would love to have another dog to play with and keep her company! I am working from home and available everyday unless out of town, my schedule is very flexible! We would love to host your fur baby as one of our own! We have a fenced in back yard and turf for the dogs to run and play! Our pups are pretty spoiled and have free roam of the house. We allow them to sleep in the bed but also have many dog beds throughout the house and will follow whatever routine or rules you set to continue your pups routine.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and have spent years caring for the pets of friends, family, and neighbors. I also have some light training experience. I’m a night owl but can be up early too, so I’m happy to take on late night or early morning pet care as needed. I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate a wide range of care needs. I’m calm, confident, and attentive with animals, and I always aim to make them feel safe, happy, and loved. I'm a mature, patient, and responsible woman with an enthusiastic love for animals. I would be honored if you you'd allow me to put my years of responsibility and experience to use with your fur family! I have a very flexible schedule and a huge heart. Pets have given me so much for so little in exchange. I have all the time and energy for the doggos that need it! I have a two-story townhouse with a fenced-in yard. We have a dog run in our gated community and several parks close by for sniffing exploration.

“Coda absolutely adores Jennifer. I saw it first hand when I was home due to an illness and she came to walk Coda when I am usually in class. It was heartwarming to see.”

About: I grew up with large dogs in the home and spent my teenage years pet-sitting for neighbors and family friends with pets of all types! This included all sizes of dogs, so I am comfortable with most breeds, house cats, and specialty care including elderly pets, pets with medication needs including daily pills and insulin injections, and different walking requirements/practices. I have no concerns about large breeds as long as they are leash trained. I am very comfortable with puppies and basic dog training and am comfortable practicing your preferred walking or training practices as specified. I am a current graduate student that loves pets and uses rover for flexibility around my school schedule. My availability fluctuates however I am often working from home for months at a time and am flexible for drop-ins, house-sitting, and walking schedules. I am comfortable caring for your pet as you prefer and have experience with many pet living situations. Relative to walking, I have used many methods including pronged collars, gentle leaders, harnesses, traditional leashes, etc. Within my own home, I have one 2-year old labrador that loves playing with other dogs and is gentle with dogs of all sizes.

About: My family has had animals since before I can remember. I have owned and taken care of cats, dogs, salt and freshwater fish, lizards, snakes, horses, and most recently rats. My classes are done for the summer so have a pretty free schedule at the moment but will be attending classes again in the fall semester. I enjoy spending time with all animals and am willing to meet them at the level they want me, whether that be just sitting with them or walking for hours.

“Eowyn has been great with Danja---having someone who is able to spend some time with Danja during the week has been awesome for us and for the dog! The heat at lunchtime gets Danja tuckered out pretty quickly but Eowyn doesn't just stick her in the crate after she's done her business! She actually spends some time with her as Danja cools off and catches her breath. Although we've only spent a few minutes with Eowyn in person, I can tell by the way my dog is treated that she's very good at what she does! I'm so glad we found her!”

Alexa S.
“Alexa is awesome because she is honest and trustworthy. She has dog sat in peoples homes before and trusted to stay in their homes while they are away on vacation and take care of their special health needs pets. She has proven herself to be reliable and caring when taking care of pets. She is a pet owner herself and knows the importance of pet care. Alexa is a great choice for all things pet related. Alexa is MY choice.”

Kimberly L.
“Hello! I have two four-legged girls that I love very much. I am a picky dog mom who always wants the best for them, as you do for yours. I occasionally have to go out of town and want to be sure they are well cared for. I lost my last caregiver, so I did lots of research in my community and had good reports on Kimberly. She certainly lived up to her recommendations, and perhaps even exceeded them. She understands dogs, and after meeting my pitties, she was happy to care for them. We arranged for check-in calls, she took them for walks and played with them. I had a special request for certain rubs and massages, and it was no problem. When I picked up my girls, they were happy, clean, and energetic. I think you can be confident in Kimberly's care for your fur babies.”

Jennifer S.Star Sitter

Livia H.
“Livia has care for my cat, Sunny, multiple times when I've been away. She's always been patient with my incredibly needy orange cat and shows her a lot of love when Sunny demands it. Livia is also reliable when it comes to keeping Sunny fed and watered. All around, I would trust Livia with caring for my cat any time!”

Grace K.
“Grace has taken care of our pets for years. One senior special needs dog who requires insulin shots 2x per day and a number of cats who require varying degrees of attention along with fish and small rodents. Grace has been very thorough, responsible and safe throughout our tenure which included house sitting or drop ins depending on length of engagement. I recommend her whole heartedly.”

Keystone dog parents share their Rover experiences
El was very good at taking it slow on the first meeting with my dog. There was even an accident from being scared that El took care of. It takes a lot for me to trust someone with my dog and having El be the first dog walker I tried, my nerves were immediately calmed.
