This was our first time leaving our 2 fur babies who are quite different in age. Lauren listened and not only took notes but followed through as well as clean up. As a first timer I’m glad my four legged children landed in good hands. Going above and beyond she even let me know we have a visiting fox. Responsible, caring and loves animals! Thank you!

About: Hi! My name is Kelley, and I’ve been caring for animals since I was 11 years old. Over the years I’ve cared for dogs, cats, and even horses, and spending time with animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or more shy and reserved, I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I’m dependable, communicative, and respectful of both your pets and your home. I know how important routines can be for animals, so I’m happy to follow any specific instructions regarding feeding, medications, walks, crating, bedtime routines, or anything else that helps your pet feel at ease. I also spent time working at a veterinary office, which gave me additional experience and knowledge in animal care and behavior. While I’m not a vet tech, that experience helped me become more attentive to pets’ needs and more comfortable handling a variety of situations. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets, and I’ll always treat them with patience, kindness, and love as if they were my own. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pets! I currently work part-time while earning hours toward my therapy license, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be attentive to your pets’ needs throughout the day. Because of this flexibility, I’m able to check in consistently, maintain your pet’s normal routines, and provide dependable care whether that includes walks, feedings, playtime, medications, or simply keeping them company. I understand how important consistency is for pets, and I do my best to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I care for pets with patience, attentiveness, and respect for the routines they’re already familiar with. In a client’s home, I do my best to maintain your pet’s normal schedule as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, playtime, medications, crating routines, and any other specific care instructions. I know being away from their owners can be stressful for some pets, so I strive to create a calm, comforting environment and give them plenty of attention and affection. I’m also very respectful of clients’ homes and always aim to leave things clean, organized, and exactly as I found them. Communication is important to me, so I’m happy to provide updates and photos so you can feel reassured while you’re away.

About: I was raised on a ranch and have grown up caring for a wide variety of animals. I have hands on experience with chickens, rabbits, llamas, alpacas, turtles, birds, sheep, cattle, horses, goats, cats, and both large and small dogs. I’m comfortable feeding, cleaning, exercising, and providing daily care for animals of all sizes. I also have experience administering medications and shots when needed, and I’ve assisted with animal births while families were away. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do, it’s something I’ve grown up doing and truly enjoy. Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine because I plan my schedule around the animals I’m caring for. I make time for feeding, exercise, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day to ensure each pet gets consistent attention and care. create a safe, calm, and clean environment by following each pet’s routine closely and keeping spaces secure. In my home or a client’s home, I supervise pets, provide proper feeding, give medications if needed, and make sure they feel comfortable, stress-free, and well cared for.

About: When I take care of an animal, I don't just treat them like a pet. I treat them like the best friend they are. Instead of going the extra mile, I walk the extra mile to make sure all the animals I have worked with are taken care of physically and emotionally. I'm also just a college student trying to make a little bit of money on the side to help pay off my debt. Apart from taking care of my own cats in the morning and evening, my schedule is very free and very open to anything that pops up. I do live out pretty far from most towns, but I am willing to drive the distance no matter how far to provide the best quality service possible. I pride myself in being able to read animals pretty well. I am able to adapt to their personal needs and accommodate them however necessary. My 2 cats could not be any different from each other personality-wise, and I don't mind dealing with a hyper-active pet, and chill and relaxed pet, or anything in between. I'm an animal lover at heart, and will do anything to make sure all pets are well taken care of.

About: Since I was a baby, I was always surrounded by animals, especially dogs, big and small. I learned to read their body language very well; when they’re happy, upset, don’t want to be touched… I would join our dog walker twice a week and he would teach me all I had to know to do this job and strategic ways to place dogs when walking them in groups. I also love to stay educated when it comes to animal and their health whether it’s nutritional, or medical or behavioral. I currently have a senior chihuahua, she is my childhood dog and as she gets older I have had to find accommodations for her diet and exercise, so dogs of any age are in good hands ! Any time my friends, or entourage needs a pet sitter, I am the person they call ! I currently am in the final phase of EMT school, woohoo ! I own, a 16 year old chihuahua and a 5 year old calico cat so the dynamic can be interesting. I always make sure that I spend enough time with them even when my schedule gets busy. My chihuahua requires a bit more attention since she is older, so I make sure to walk her more since her bladder does hold as long anymore, and I have accommodated her diet to make sure she can eat and digest it well ! They are part of my everyday life, so taking care of them is just natural and i would not trade it for anything else. I make sure to ask questions about the pet’s personality and their likes and dislikes, that helps me figure out if there is anything wrong at any time with your pet and can act accordingly. They are always in my sight while being out and kept closer to me if encountering other animals on a walk. I am always very cautious, especially with other people’s pets because I would like someone to take care of my pets with so much love and care if I’m not there to take care of them.

Tim was absolutely amazing. He stayed in contact and I could tell my animals really loved having him there. He was so accommodating. Right before the trip we sadly lost one of our loved fur babies and Tim sent me pictures every day of his grave everyday and still kept his spirit alive and it touched my heart. Would recommend to anyone to have him watch there pets as he was truly amazing.

Jennie is the gold standard in pet sitting care. She’s attentive, responsible, and genuinely enthusiastic about providing care to our pups. We were in a bind and needed a no-notice reservation and she accommodated us without hesitation. The pups fed off Jennie’s radiant energy and that took a lot of stress off of us. About: Throughout my life, I have had the privilege of sharing my home with a variety of furry friends. Each of these pets has brought unique personalities enriching my days. Through this, I have learned responsibility, empathy, and unconditional love. My pet care experience started when I was young while living with my mom and now into adulthood. At a young age, I would watch my friends and families' dogs. Then, as I got older I had gigs all on my own. I have done dog sitting in the person's home and have hosted the dog myself. I have watched anywhere from 1 to 5 dogs at a time. I understand all the different needs of an animal and can read their social cues towards others. I am very understanding and have personal experience raising a puppy and helping a dog into old age. I love going for walks and playing fetch with my puppy and others. Dogs are like another child and I will treat them as such. My dog is my best friend, so I understand worrying about leaving them behind, but I got you! With me, you will never have to worry. I love sending picture and video updates. I take daily walks already, so adding an additional furry friend would make it more enjoyable! I don’t mind staying somewhere and house sitting. I have a full time job that is flexible so that I can best care for your pets. I will follow all directions given by the parents! I understand having anxiety leaving your fur children behind, so I always take that into careful consideration. Treat others how you want to be treated!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 2,475 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Kendalia. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Kendalia stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kendalia. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
