“Kirk has been an amazing weekly walker for our dog Scout over the past few months. He is professional, compassionate, and reliable. Scout is nervous around most people and Kirk takes the time and care to make him feel cared for. Kirk always provides excellent updates from our walks. And I have peace of mind knowing that Kirk takes care of our dog like we do when we are at work. Thank you so much, Kirk!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and even worked at a local animal shelter for two years, giving me experience with dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I also have experience with senior animals, especially administering any special medications including injectable medicines, as my own cat has diabetes and receives insulin shots twice a day. I’m a journalist in the horror entertainment field and I truly miss being around dogs! My work schedule is incredibly flexible, making me able to stop by and check on your pups whenever you need. It really depends on the animal and what they need to feel comfortable! I go into every pet interaction knowing that I’m on that animal’s turf and I need to get to know them before expecting them to be happy/comfortable with me.

“Michael walked our two big dogs for all of the college football games we attended this season. He was always on time and took our dogs for a nice long walk. He has helped us out many times and has always been very professional and caring with our dogs.”

About: Hi! My name is Karen and I’m a dog mama!! My pitsenji, Nordy, is almost 7 year old and most would say is... SPOILED! We don’t deserve dogs! <3 Nordy is shy and timid at first, (scared of her own shadow) then opens up! Happy to do a meet and greet! SLEEPOVER PARTY?! Nordy would be THRILLED to play tug of war or fetch with another pal besides her hooman! I have a doggy door that leads out to a beautiful fenced in back yard that’s filled with toys, toys and more toys! (I already said Nordy was spoiled!) Best of all, we are both willing to share! There’s plenty of space indoor or out for quiet time because that’s a must! Walks are always a fun adventure! I prefer a park area, but sometimes the neighborhood walks are just as good! I have a few crates, blankets, toys, beds galore! While Nordy does have a doggy bed, she prefers the couch or human bed! If you’d like to pack a “sleepover” bag, that’s fine too! If not, just be sure to bring a leash, dog tag (just to be on the safe side!), food, and any “must-haves”! I’m fine with the dogs on my furniture, and have a separate room for bedtime! There’s a nightlight, crates and dog beds! Nordy would be happy to share her room for bed time, but if that doesn’t work, there are more rooms! I’m all about a safe environment, so cameras are throughout the house and outside! Let me know if your pup has any allergies, what (If anything) frightens him/her), usual bed time/wake up time, and anything important you’d like to share! I want this to be a great experience for us all! NEED ME TO STOP BY? That’s easy! I can come for a quick play date and potty break! Warning: there will be lots of love provided! JUST A WALK? If you just need a walk.. we’re your go-to girls! I’m currently in between jobs, I was a federal employee for 22 years and became a #DOGEvictim. I’m home 90% of the time, and dogs have access to all parts of the house and out back! I have a nice size fenced in backyard, with two plastic bubbles for the dogs to see what’s happening out front! That’s definitely a fan favorite!

Kemp Mill dog parents share their Rover experiences
Andrea did daily walks with our dog and always took great care of her! She was always super communicative if any updates to our schedule needed to be made, and had great knowledge and recommendations for ways to improve our dogs behavior during walks. We would definitely recommend!

Liza is amazing and understands difficult dog behavior. We have an anxious dog who usually takes a while to warm up to new people which makes finding a dog sitter more challenging. Liza was patient with our dog and got him to more or less accept her on the first visit. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again.

I can’t thank Mikala enough for the incredible care and attention she gave my dog. From thoughtful updates to genuine affection, it’s clear she truly loves what she does. My pup came home happy, well-exercised, and clearly adored. Reliable, kind, and professional—highly recommend Mikala to anyone looking for top-tier care!
