About: I had dogs growing up and now dog (Bo 4 1/2 years) needs a friend to play to get his wiggles out and socialize. He loves to play ball, walks and run around. My husband and I work from home most days and have a very flexible schedule. We really like the idea of drop off play dates as our dogs lives to play. We live in a walkable neighborhood with many tree-lined walking paths, bushes, parks and other friendly dogs and people. 📸 📱Daily Pictures and Updates We are very communicative and make sure owners get at least 3 updates with pictures and/or videos each day. 🦮 🐾 Walks Your dog will enjoy at least three 15-20 minute walks (usually at a casual pace and sniffing around the neighborhood) and ALWAYS leashed on our walks, usually using my own durable leash (the same rope material that rock climbers use). This allows the dogs to meet and I can get a good sense of your dog’s needs and how to best care for them. About: I am a lifelong pet owner and animal lover with over 25 years of caregiving experience. I have had dogs almost continuously since kindergarten ranging in size from a 5 lb poodle mix (Trooper) to a 95 lb yellow lab (Nala), in addition to 3 years as a parent to 2 cats, Jules and Gemini. Jules was with us only briefly due to her advanced age when she was adopted, while Gemini is a much younger kitten who wasted no time claiming my home as her own. I also recently lost my 10 year old corgi (Sadie) unexpectedly to an extremely aggressive form of cancer, and so would love the opportunity to spend some therapeutic time with your furry kid. Prior to beginning work through Rover, I have several years of experience caring for cats and dogs for a variety of friends, family, and neighbors including everything from drop-in visits and dog walking to full-time house/petsitting. Outside of my petsitting duties, I am a PhD chemist working hard to make the battery in your phone last longer and your electric car drive further. My wife and I moved to the Silver Spring area in 2024 for her job as a television producer and I am in the process of establishing myself in the DMV research community. Availability: Except in special cases, I am available for booking at any time of day, any day of the week. I am happy to provide everything from drop-in visits to extended overnight stays.
