About: I have always had a conscientiousness and innate knowledge for dog care and connection. I treat and love every dog as if it were my own which means....they are family. Because of my lifelong love for pets, I worked for a pet nutrition company for years where I focused on pet care and well-being. I interacted and learned from trainers, groomers and pet professionals. I am comfortable with dogs that are big and small, young and old, and any breed. And...while I don't "own" a cat, I am happy to care for them too! I will care for your pets as if they were my own and I will do everything it takes to make sure every furry face has an ear-to-ear smile and everything they need to be healthy, safe and content. My doggo and I recently moved back to Texas from Colorado and are enjoying being back with family here. As we continue to settle in, I would love to help you and your family in your pet sitting and/or feeding and walking needs. My availability is flexible and wide and I'm here to help take care of your pups and kitties! I am extremely conscientious about pet safety and welfare so you can rest assured that your fur kids are in competent and capable hands. If there are emergencies or urgent situations, I have the maturity and confidence to remain calm and address the need quickly. Additionally, if you would like your dog to have a playmate during my visit, I have a very "dog-friendly" dog who loves to play and would be more than happy to offer her services. (This would only be per your request)

I hit a home run with Shima! I have an 8th month old German shorthair pointer with high exercise demands daily. Shima was looking to gain knowledge in this field and has been walking, running and training my pup for a month now 2-3 times a week. She does an exceptional job with him and is patient to his needs! Working with a GSP can be one of the toughest breeds to work with. I come home and my pup (Troy Aikman) is happy and relaxed! I work a lot during the week so it is relieving to know he is in such good hands. I would highly recommend Shima for your needs. Troy lights up with energy when she shows up! Thank you Shima!

This was my first time using Rover. I can’t recommend Jessica enough! My situation was a little different; we are visiting family in Marble Falls but my husband and I spent a few days in Austin and needed someone to walk our dog. We didn’t have personal interaction with Jessica but my mother in law did and said she was very polite and professional. So much so they she shared her information with the neighbors. Thank you Jessica.

About: New to Rover but caring for pets and homes locally as if they were my own has been part of my life for years. I know how important it is to trust the person you’re leaving your pets with and I take that to heart. I’m patient, reliable, and pay close attention to the little things that keep pets happy and homes feeling cared for. I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages, including playful puppies and gentle senior pets who may need extra time, medications, or a softer touch. I’m comfortable handling different routines, personalities, and special needs. Beyond pet care, I’m respectful of your home and keep everything tidy so you return to a space that feels just the way you left it—or a little better! Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily life because I work remotely from home. That means I’m around throughout the day for walks, potty breaks, meals, playtime, and plenty of companionship. My flexible schedule allows me to stick closely to each pet’s normal routine, whether they need extra attention, medication, or just a reassuring presence. Having animals around just makes my days better, so it never feels like a job to me. When I’m staying in a client’s home, I keep pets on their normal routine so they feel safe and comfortable. That means regular meals, walks, playtime, and as many snuggles as they can stand:)

About: I have experience with fostering dogs rescued from difficult situations. I am very patient and can handle a lot of energy. I love animals of all sorts, and I can work with each pet with consideration of their specific needs. I work remotely, so I'm able to really attend to any pets in the home and to integrate them into my day. My apartment has a great dog park and my neighborhood is great for walks as well. My schedule during the day allows for me to go for short walks in addition to 1-2 longer ones. I would treat any pet as my own. I feel lucky to get to spend time with them and I know being entrusted with someone's pet is a big deal.

About: I have been caring for animals my whole life, I would love the opportunity to care for yours. Whether you need someone to look after them and love on them while you’re out of town, too busy with the chaos of the work week, or you’re just too worn out after a long day to take them for a walk. . I’m your gal! 🙂👍🏼 For boarding opportunities, I have a huge fenced yard, and lots of space in my house with hardwood floors for easy clean up when pups make accidents. Also I usually drive for uber so I have a very open schedule to be able to give the attention necessary for my clientele. I’m making myself more available on rover app now that I know the holidays are right around the corner and many people need extra help with their furry friends. I’d love the opportunity to help make your life a little less ruff. Hope to meet y’all soon! 🙂 I’ve recently made myself a lot more available to both Wag and Rover apps. Since I make my own schedule, it offers me the ability to care for my clientele and cater to their personal preferences and needs, providing a better experience for your furry friends and you. Every animal I’ve had a chance to be a sitter for has had their own unique situations and needs throughout the day. I understand schedules, health problems, medications, walk times, eating times, etc, change with every client opportunity. I’m able to provide services that make it easy for the animals to adjust to a new place when boarding for multiple days, sticking to their normal every day routines requested by the pet parent.

About: I've had experience taking care of dogs as well as my own. I've helped train my dog when she was a puppy and have spent time watching her on my own for days at a time. I am an active person and love to spend my time outdoors and would love to get some exercise with some furry friends. I am currently working part-time while also studying to get my real estate license online. I would love to spend my free time outside and hanging out with some cute doggies. I can fit pet care into my full week most of the time! I take my dog outside when she needs to potty as well as walk her once a day. I fill up her food bowl twice a day and her water bowl as needed. I know how to clean any accidents pets might have too.

About: From an early age, I've had a deep care for animals of all shapes, species and sizes. My initial experience started with the local stray cats and dogs, newborn kittens, and even elderly and sick pets. Gradually my love for animals expanded as I set out to receive my bachelors degree in Marine Science from UT Austin. Furthermore, I had the fortune of volunteering at an animal rehabilitation keep where I tended to injured and ill exotic animals and I currently volunteer at a non-profit horse ranch in my free time (safe to say - no mess is a match for me!) I'm a mother to two cats; Pan, a two-year old orange male with more energy than a toddler, and Miona, a 10-year old japanese bobtail who resembles more of a bunny than a cat. As an overprotective mother myself, you can rest assured that your pet is in great hands as I provide constant updates and tons of cute pictures of your furry friend while you're away. I truly adore all animals and understand that every pet has their own unique personality, needs, and routine so I also take pride in adapting my care to ensure each animal is more than content! I currently work a hybrid job so my schedule is quite flexible when needed! I am available for boarding anytime on the weekends and often on the weekdays. If there is a specific time you require, I will gladly mold my schedule to accommodate yours! Safety is my number one priority with your fur baby and I guarantee to treat them as one of my own! Pictures of each activity will be provided for your reference and play dates are guaranteed, no matter the age. Whether your pet prefers to curl up on the couch or play fetch, I can guarantee they will be in good hands. I also offer a safe, enriching environment in my own neighborhood, which includes plenty of walking trails and a fully fenced area for potty breaks and meeting new friends!

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Johnson City. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Johnson City.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Johnson City. On Rover:

  • 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
