“Declan was a great sitter! Look forward to working with him in the future. Would highly recommend him and what he offers your animals. It is hard to find someone as good as him, and we are lucky to have him!”

About: I have a lot of experience working with a reactive and anxious rescue pit-bull mix…my sweet baby girl, Abby!! It’s been a process but she’s made huge strides! So I’m quite familiar with having to be extremely vigilant on walks, training treats on hand, knowing when to cross the street to avoid triggers…etc. I fostered an adorable blue nose pitbull puppy! I house trained him and worked with him for a year. That was one of the hardest things I ever had to do…let that handsome boy go to his forever home! I also had a dog when I was growing up. The only way we were going o get her was if I was willing to take most of the care of her and I happily obliged! I was also the pet sitter in the neighborhood. I love all dogs! I’m currently not working so I have quite an open schedule! I’ve been a teacher for 21 years and I’m taking a break to do what I love…spending time with my girl, Abby, volunteering at Save-A-Pet, and helping people out by walking their dogs! I’m not able to have pets in my home because Abby doesn’t get along well with other dogs. I’m happy to do whatever a client wants me to do with their pet! I live a very active lifestyle, so if your pet needs to go for a few miles run not a problem! Also happy to just give scratches and make your pet feel comfortable while you’re away!

About: What sets me apart from other pet sitters is my lifelong experience with animals. I've always had pets, including those I've rescued and others I've raised from birth, so I'm familiar with a wide range of temperaments and needs. I've also provided loving care for several senior dogs and a senior cat I had since she was a kitten, giving me valuable experience with pets at every stage of life. Since I am primarily self employed, I am flexible in terms of availability! I am available day or night. I try mt best to accommodate client needs. Since I love in a second story condo, I walk my two canine boys several times daily for exercise and for bathroom needs. My cat, Gracie stays indoors but has everything she needs at her disposal.

“Fern is truly a 5-Star pet sitter. The pictures clearly show that our cat loves to be with Fern who gives him plenty of attention and looks after all his needs. We’ll definitely be booking Fern again!”

“Amazing couple. Even though my fur babies hid, they took great effort to find and photo them. They kept their food and water bowls full. The two are great sitters.”

About: I am primarily focused on getting more dog handling experience. I have volunteered at a shelter for 4 years and I have dog training experience as well. I eventually would like to train dogs as a career. I have an empty home with lots of love to give! Happy pets=peace of mind I typically work 4 days out of the week which means I have at least three days available to spend with your furry friends! I typically don’t have anything to do on my off days and I’d love to dedicate my time to your furry companion so they’re never short of love because love is what they deserve!! I currently live in a first floor apartment in the middle of the woods with scenic trails. Which means plenty of sniffs for your furry friends! I am very accommodating to your dogs needs whether that be administering medication, a soothing bath (free of charge), or sleeping with a certain toy/blanket.

“Jessica and Aaron were SO great with my pups! They spent extra time and gave them lots of love and attention. They even stopped to pick up dogfood in a pinch! I absolutely recommend them and would love to have them take care of my pups again.”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is I have 6 of my own dogs and I love taking care of all of them ! I take care of pets all day long on an off and I have 6 of my own dogs to take care of myself on a daily basis I feed my dogs all day on an off , I take them outside , clean up their poop , clean up their cat boxes

About: I'm Nickie, and on top of being an overall animal lover, I've had a number of pets in my life, and worked in the vetmed world for more 10 yrs. I'm firm with pets when necessary, but I'll love them as my own instantly. I believe in taking my time with them, and letting them come to me. In the case of cats, I dont take it personally if they run and hide. (We all know they do everything on their own terms anyway.) I've learned messes happen, and don't shy away from cleaning them up. Should I be invited into your home, I am respectful and courteous. I do everything I can to work with you and your animals' schedules. I mostly work for myself from home, but also work part-time as a special asst ~10hrs/week. Overall, my schedule is quite flexible. As for my own little zoo, I have a female pitbull named Annie B. Nannie, two female kitties named Freddie Spaghetti and Penny Parmesan, and chonky male cat name Kevin Pickles. He's 2 years younger than all my girls, but is bigger and the main bringer of chaos. I have a part time personal asst role about ~10hrs per week in Lake Forest (days vary from week to week), but primarily work for myself from home the rest of the week. These positions allow for a pretty flexible schedule to work within your animal care needs. Should you want something outside what Rover allows you to choose (sometimes odd requests/needs happen), just select what is closest and send me a message to explain. More often than not, we can make it work with a bit of explaination/clarification. I care for your animal family members in your own home and work with them on their terms, and at a pace that feels comfortable to them. I understand messes can happen and nerves can get the better of some, while others instantly want to be my new best friend. I work with patience, kindness, understanding, and respect. I am unable to care for your furlings within my own home at this time, but am happy to go to you.

About: I’ve cared for animals my entire life — from puppies to seniors in their final years. I’ve had dogs throughout my life and understand how their needs change as they age. I have a natural sense for animal comfort and routines, and I’m confident handling senior pets with extra needs, as well as high-energy younger ones. I truly treat every pet like family. I have a very flexible schedule right now, so I’m able to dedicate time daily to pet care. Whether it’s drop-ins, walks, or just giving animals some extra love, I genuinely enjoy it and make it a part of my routine. Taking care of pets doesn’t feel like a chore to me — it’s something I look forward to. When I care for pets in their home, I do everything I can to keep their routine consistent and stress-free. I follow any instructions closely, make sure they feel safe and loved, and always treat the home with respect. I give updates, clean up after myself and the pet, and make sure they’re comfortable the entire time you’re away.

About: I've been taking care of my own animals since I was 9 and have watched my neighbors and other family dogs ever since, I spend lots of time with the dogs while still working my own job. I love getting to know the dogs! I currently work a part time jobs but will be able to manage my job with playing with your pets and spending time with them while you're away! I care for clients pets by allowing for them to have time to run around, swim (if they like water), and by taking them on nice adventure walks! I also give the pets lots of attention when I'm there!

“Emily was amazing! Our dog is typically skittish of everyone but she loved Emily right away (and so did we!). Our dog is also a little quirky but Emily didn’t mind at all. I would (and will) ask Emily to care for our dog in the future. I can’t say enough good things about how terrific Emily is!”

About: Love to have a furry companion on my walks and give them some time outside, I’ve had dogs my whole life big and small and always enjoy walking them. I am currently a student and working part time, so I have plenty of free days to spend and take nice walks with your pup. I have a fenced in yard and a dog of my own who’s super friendly and well behaved! We have gates so the dogs came get to any places they shouldn’t be.

“I highly recommend Alexandra to watch your pet while you are away. She watched our dog Remi and stayed in our home with him while we were away. Highly recommend!”
