“Ana and Michael provided a wonderful place for us to leave Blossom for a few days. We were immediately comfortable and welcomed. Blossom made herself at home right away. She loved the fenced in back yard and all the attention. Ana was flexible with drop off and pick up times. She also provided videos and updates on how Blossom was doing. It was a wonderful experience leaving Blossom for the first time. Thank you so much.”

“This was the first time I was away from Sealgair. And every time I checked in and every time we texted Brandi was right there. Any update or just a little picture to say hi, Brandi took care of my little baby. And if I ever go away again and have to leave him, I'm leaving him with no other. Thank you Brandi.”

“Melissa and her family were so kind and took wonderful care of our busy 7-month-old Mini Bernedoodle. Melissa was responsive and provided regular updates. She and her family kept our puppy busy, which is no small feat! Mocha was happy and very tired when she returned home from her weekend stay.”

“Darian was amazing. We used her for a 2 week vacation and we are so grateful to have found her. We will definitely use her again. She taught our puppy how to walk on a leash, which he was struggling with before we dropped him off. We received daily updates, photos and videos, and never had to worry about him being cared for, loved on and played with.”

“Wow!! I am sooooi glad I found Lexi and her family. Its not always easy to trust basically a stranger to watch your did, especially when he’s like a child to you but I’m so glad I did. Pictures and updates everyday, and a wore out little man getting home!! Thank you Lexi and family!! Murphy looks forward to seeing you again!! ❤️❤️”

“Frank and Clarissa were great! They’re responsive and attentive and provided excellent updates. We were glad to have them watch our dog without any concern or incident while away.”

“Our lab loves to play at Carine's house! She and her kids love dogs and take good care of them. Daily walks and sending pics of our pup is a part of her routine!”

“Archie had a great stay with Andrew and his family. He enjoyed the beautiful backyard that has lots of room to play with Andrew’s dog, Gunner. There is a perfect spot in the shade to rest in the backyard, too! Andrew kept us up to date with pictures and reports of their activities. We will definitely book another stay with Andrew! Highly recommend!”

“Katie was able to accommodate hosting Hazel over Labor Day weekend while we visited family. Katie had great communication before and during the stay, Hazel also enjoyed spending time with another dog for a few days. We’ll be sure to utilize Katie again when we need a dog sitter!”

“Brittany and her husband were GREAT!! She watched our dog Tucker for a few days while we were moving. She kept us up to date on how he was doing, and followed all of our instructions caring for him. We really appreciated her flexibility in timing dropping him off and picking him up - we unexpectedly needed to extend our booking an extra night, and was happy to accommodate this last-minute. I recommend Brittany without reservation - we'll definitely be re-booking in the future!”

“Kona had a great first stay with Shelby and family! I really appreciated that she received her medicine on schedule and got lots of exercise playing fetch and on walks. The photos and videos were great!”

“They were flexible about drop off and pick up which was great since we were running a bit late for our drop off time. They sent pictures and a short video so we could see how our dogs were interacting with the others and gave us a good description of how their stay went. We would definitely bring our dogs back for another stay!”

“Kristin and her family were great. Walked the dogs daily, sent pics, reported on how they were doing. We had to change our drop off time to 6:30am, and she didn’t hesitate to be up early to make that work.”

About: Hello! I’m Ross. I’ve had pets my whole life, and dogs for the last several years! I’m an avid upland hunter and have two Labrador Retrievers, one that I hunt with and the other one failed bird dog school! Oh well, she’s a great family dog! I have ample experience handling dogs and have a unique understanding into their behavior having trained a hunting dog and working with him in the field. We are a family of 5 that love dogs and would love to give your family member a fun and relaxing stay in our home. I work from my home, running my own brand and design business, which gives me ample time to exercise and potty break your dog! My labs love to play and love all dogs, and are always looking for new friends! Let me know if we can accommodate you! I currently run my own business from my home, so I have ample time to accommodate your dog’s schedule with regular potty breaks and eating or medication times. I have 2 friendly Labrador Retrievers that love to play and get along with any and all friendly dogs! Our yard is not fenced, but if your dog is a risk for running or is skiddish we will use a leash at all times for walks and potty breaks.
“Brenna welcomed our beagle on his first stay away from us. Her chill manner and gentle encouragement made me feel very comfortable. Would highly recommend to others and rebook again myself.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Jessenland home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Jessenland.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Jessenland sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
