“Very good at communicating!! Dogs were very happy upon my return. Thank you so much for your help and look forward to using your services in the future!”

“Darian was amazing. We used her for a 2 week vacation and we are so grateful to have found her. We will definitely use her again. She taught our puppy how to walk on a leash, which he was struggling with before we dropped him off. We received daily updates, photos and videos, and never had to worry about him being cared for, loved on and played with.”

“My pup was so happy during her stay with Mary and her family! I received lots of updates with photos so I was able to enjoy my trip without worrying about my little baby🐶”

“This was the first time I was away from Sealgair. And every time I checked in and every time we texted Brandi was right there. Any update or just a little picture to say hi, Brandi took care of my little baby. And if I ever go away again and have to leave him, I'm leaving him with no other. Thank you Brandi.”

“Mochi spent a full week with Carine and her family, and it went very well. Communication was excellent - Carine was attentive to all the details we shared and very responsive via text. We received updates throughout each day and during our trip, which we really appreciated. My kids loved seeing photos and updates of Mochi playing and cuddling with her kids. He was truly treated like one of their own, and it was clear how much he was loved, he will genuinely be missed by their family. Carine was also thoughtful about managing energy levels when another dog was staying at the same time and always checked in first. We felt completely comfortable leaving Mochi in her care and would absolutely use her again.”

“Andrew, Venessa and kids did a fabulous job looking after Lyla. We are extremely pleased with the care that Lyla received. Lyla had lots of fun and she was extremely comfortable. The communication was great with updates and pictures. We will definitely be reaching out to them for future needs.”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life. In my last year of Pharmacy School on clinical rotations. Would love to help others and help take care of your pets! During summer I’m working part time, so I’ll have lots of time to be available to pet sit! During the school year I am also available! I think it’s best for pets to stay in the environment they are familiar with. I will be respectful of the pet owners boundaries for their pets.
“Brittany and her husband were GREAT!! She watched our dog Tucker for a few days while we were moving. She kept us up to date on how he was doing, and followed all of our instructions caring for him. We really appreciated her flexibility in timing dropping him off and picking him up - we unexpectedly needed to extend our booking an extra night, and was happy to accommodate this last-minute. I recommend Brittany without reservation - we'll definitely be re-booking in the future!”

“Kristen and family cared for our Golden Retriever, Rookie so well while we were away! It was comforting knowing that he was in good hands the whole time. Rookie was nice and tired when he got home too so I know that he had fun with some impromptu dog playing of which he loves. Every time we got a picture sent to us, we all raced to see what he was doing and he always looked happy. We have already rebooked for when we will be gone again in the future. Thank you Kristen and Fam!”

“Loved Val’s enthusiasm and the whole household was a part of it. My chocolate lab was so well taken care of when I had a last minute work trip. Her dog Winnie had no problems sharing space with mine and my lil girl didn’t have to be alone all day ???! Both Lilly and I are happy to be home but I know that she has a safe and comfortable place to go. ?”

“Katie did a fantastic job of caring for our mini labradoodle, Mack! She communicated often, especially when Mack had a little injury on his foot. We will definitely book with Katie again!”

“This was our first time leaving our dogs with someone other than family. It was a great experience. Lots of updates and pics and they are treated like their own animals. Will book again.”

“Frank and Clarissa were amazing. They sent us pictures, let us know how our dog was doing and kept us at ease. Our dog can be a little shy when he first meets people and they made him feel like part of their family. Highly recommend!”

About: Hello! I’m Ross. I’ve had pets my whole life, and dogs for the last several years! I’m an avid upland hunter and have two Labrador Retrievers, one that I hunt with and the other one failed bird dog school! Oh well, she’s a great family dog! I have ample experience handling dogs and have a unique understanding into their behavior having trained a hunting dog and working with him in the field. We are a family of 5 that love dogs and would love to give your family member a fun and relaxing stay in our home. I work from my home, running my own brand and design business, which gives me ample time to exercise and potty break your dog! My labs love to play and love all dogs, and are always looking for new friends! Let me know if we can accommodate you! I currently run my own business from my home, so I have ample time to accommodate your dog’s schedule with regular potty breaks and eating or medication times. I have 2 friendly Labrador Retrievers that love to play and get along with any and all friendly dogs! Our yard is not fenced, but if your dog is a risk for running or is skiddish we will use a leash at all times for walks and potty breaks.
“Melissa and her family were great. She was easy to book with and very accommodating with all of our requests. Our dachshund, Squatch, came home happy and tired from a weekend of playing and cuddles. We will definitely be using her again.”

“Melissa was great with Lucy. Our dog came home happy and worn out. Thank you for taking wonderful care of our dog. Melissa was great with updates and communicating. We will definitely use Melissa in the future.”

“Andrew promptly responded to all our communications and sent pictures during our pet's stay at his house. At our request, he met with us prior to our pet's stay so we could meet with him and see the fenced-in backyard. His place and accommodations are very orderly and well-kept. Every aspect of our dealings with Andrew was very positive, and we would not hesitate to use him again.”

“Kelly did a great job watching my two toy Aussie’s! The dogs immediately got comfortable with Kelly and her two beautiful greyhounds. They loved the large fenced in grass yard— they were in dog heaven! Kelly sent photos and kept me posted on how my pups were doing. I so appreciated the updates since Kelly graciously took them at the last minute (due to a funeral in the family). I will definitely contact Kelly again— thank you!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Blakeley home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Blakeley.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Blakeley sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
