“Darian was amazing. We used her for a 2 week vacation and we are so grateful to have found her. We will definitely use her again. She taught our puppy how to walk on a leash, which he was struggling with before we dropped him off. We received daily updates, photos and videos, and never had to worry about him being cared for, loved on and played with.”

“This was our first time leaving our dogs with someone other than family. It was a great experience. Lots of updates and pics and they are treated like their own animals. Will book again.”

“This was the first time I was away from Sealgair. And every time I checked in and every time we texted Brandi was right there. Any update or just a little picture to say hi, Brandi took care of my little baby. And if I ever go away again and have to leave him, I'm leaving him with no other. Thank you Brandi.”

“Andrew, Venessa and kids did a fabulous job looking after Lyla. We are extremely pleased with the care that Lyla received. Lyla had lots of fun and she was extremely comfortable. The communication was great with updates and pictures. We will definitely be reaching out to them for future needs.”

“Mochi spent a full week with Carine and her family, and it went very well. Communication was excellent - Carine was attentive to all the details we shared and very responsive via text. We received updates throughout each day and during our trip, which we really appreciated. My kids loved seeing photos and updates of Mochi playing and cuddling with her kids. He was truly treated like one of their own, and it was clear how much he was loved, he will genuinely be missed by their family. Carine was also thoughtful about managing energy levels when another dog was staying at the same time and always checked in first. We felt completely comfortable leaving Mochi in her care and would absolutely use her again.”

“Melissa and her family were great. She was easy to book with and very accommodating with all of our requests. Our dachshund, Squatch, came home happy and tired from a weekend of playing and cuddles. We will definitely be using her again.”

“Frank and Clarissa were amazing. They sent us pictures, let us know how our dog was doing and kept us at ease. Our dog can be a little shy when he first meets people and they made him feel like part of their family. Highly recommend!”

“Katie did a fantastic job of caring for our mini labradoodle, Mack! She communicated often, especially when Mack had a little injury on his foot. We will definitely book with Katie again!”

“Andrew watched Buck and Winnie over the new year and we couldn't be happier with his care. We've been back several times now and it's always a good experience for us and the pups. Thanks!”

“Kristen and family cared for our Golden Retriever, Rookie so well while we were away! It was comforting knowing that he was in good hands the whole time. Rookie was nice and tired when he got home too so I know that he had fun with some impromptu dog playing of which he loves. Every time we got a picture sent to us, we all raced to see what he was doing and he always looked happy. We have already rebooked for when we will be gone again in the future. Thank you Kristen and Fam!”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life. In my last year of Pharmacy School on clinical rotations. Would love to help others and help take care of your pets! During summer I’m working part time, so I’ll have lots of time to be available to pet sit! During the school year I am also available! I think it’s best for pets to stay in the environment they are familiar with. I will be respectful of the pet owners boundaries for their pets.
“Our dog loves Shelby and Ben and is so comfortable at their house. They are true dog lovers and always send me pictures and notes so I don't wonder how she is doing.”

“Brittany and her husband were GREAT!! She watched our dog Tucker for a few days while we were moving. She kept us up to date on how he was doing, and followed all of our instructions caring for him. We really appreciated her flexibility in timing dropping him off and picking him up - we unexpectedly needed to extend our booking an extra night, and was happy to accommodate this last-minute. I recommend Brittany without reservation - we'll definitely be re-booking in the future!”

“Bethany and family were so wonderful to our "little old lady" dog, Bailey. Sent updates with pictures to make sure we knew she was well! Would use her again and highly recommend!”

“Dayjay accompanied us at the last minute when another sitter cancelled. Our grumpy old dog and our high energy pup came home happy and tired — the perfect combination! Dayna’s is experienced with all types of dogs and was very communicative, sending photos and updates while we were away. Would definitely book with her again!”

“My babies had not been to her house in a YEAR- and immediately they were running around and comfortable outside like they were there every day. Next Karrie called them and they ran into house like we were not even there! Made us feel so good! Definitely going to have her care for them again!”

“Brenna welcomed our beagle on his first stay away from us. Her chill manner and gentle encouragement made me feel very comfortable. Would highly recommend to others and rebook again myself.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Henderson home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Henderson.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Henderson sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
