About: I was the kid hanging out in the neighbors dog house when my mom couldn't find me. Ive had a number of dogs since early on. Currently I have 4 dogs that run our household. We treat our dogs with love and kindness and reward with positive feedback. I would like to believe that people want the best for their pets, and with my care they will be treated as you would or better. I work from home currently and have access to let the pups out as needed. The fenced yard is high. They love the space and freedom of no leash. I have a fenced yard and 4 large dogs that play well with others. I do have a separate space if nessecary to keep them separated. I like to engage with the pups to keep them busy.. Hopefully if we play long enough they sleep well for me and you.
About: I have taken care of pets for as long as I can remember. I have experience with dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits, and fish. I like to make sure the animal is having as much fun as I am. I am currently job hunting until I start college during the second semester so I am free all hours. I can update you as often as you want about your pets. Every hour to once a day it's up to you. I have job shadowed at a vet clinic a few times so I put the animals safety first. I won't pressure or force your animal to do something they don't want. This means that I will spend time with them so they trust me to attach a lesh to go outside. I don't prefer to handle animals at night because they tend to be more cautious but I can if needed.
“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Tawny! From the moment we met, I knew Murphy was in great hands. Tawny is the epitome of what you want in a dog sitter: kind, attentive, and incredibly loving. She has a natural affinity with dogs and it's clear she genuinely cares about their well-being. She was patient and gave him the time he needed to feel comfortable. Throughout Murphy’s stay, Tawny and her Daughters took Murphy on long walks, played his favorite games. Her home is welcoming and dog-friendly, and she made sure Murphy felt like part of her family. It's evident that she goes above and beyond to ensure her furry guests are happy and healthy. I highly recommend Tawny to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and enthusiastic dog sitter. Murphy came home relaxed, happy, and even better behaved! Tawny is a true gem on Rover, and we can't wait to book with her again. Thank you, Tawny, for treating Murphy with so much love and care!”

“This was the perfect place for our Walter. Lots of room to roam and very friendly hosts! Kept us updated and sent us photos, and were very flexible with timing. We will definitely be back!”

“Melissa was great with Lucy. Our dog came home happy and worn out. Thank you for taking wonderful care of our dog. Melissa was great with updates and communicating. We will definitely use Melissa in the future.”

“Liz was great with Gus and Daisy! They came home happy & tired. Liz is easy to coordinate with and has great communication. I got lots of pictures throughout their stay, which gave me peace of mind. Thanks, Liz!”

“Ralf had so much fun at the farm! Tracie and her daughter took him on adventures and let him explore the farm. He was so happy and exhausted when we picked him up. He enjoyed his vacation as much as we did! :)”

“It was our first time boarding and we were a bit nervous but Francesca put our mind at ease. She was great and even met us ahead of time so we could meet her and Minnie bean. She sent pictures and kept us updated. I would highly recommend her and we will definitely use her services again.”

About: Hi! I’m Megan, and I’ve spent years working hands-on with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I have a strong background in pet care, including working as a dog trainer for both group classes and private clients, as well as experience in dog daycare, boarding, and veterinary settings. I’ve cared for dogs in many environments and I’m comfortable handling everything from basic care to more behavior-focused needs. I have experience reading dog body language and helping pets feel safe, comfortable, and understood. In addition to my professional experience, I’ve been extensively involved in rescue work as a foster home and running a shelter behavior group of volunteers so I’m especially patient with reactive, anxious, or higher-needs dogs. I truly enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique personality and tailoring care to what works best for them. Whether your pet needs a walk, drop-in visit, or overnight care, you can count on me to provide reliable, attentive, and compassionate care—just like I would for my own. I’m currently a stay at home mom and so I am able to be flexible in most cases. Evenings and weekends will be my most available times! I have two dogs of my own who are very used to new animals coming and going. I don’t have a fenced backyard, but do have tie outs or can leash walk any pets at my home. Every animal has different needs, so I will do my best to figure out what sleeping arrangements make them the most comfortable during their stay (I have kennels of every size so people do not need to bring theirs back and forth unless they prefer to). I’m well versed in methods of calming for pets that might be nervous. I do have a 6 month old infant at home who is very used to dogs, but any pets coming in to my home would need to be safe and comfortable around her.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Arlington home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Arlington.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Arlington sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
