About: I started volunteering at vet clinics in 2006. I've been caring for other people's pets since 2012, including dogs, cats, exotic birds, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs. I am experienced with special needs animals, elderlies, and those recovering from surgery. I've completed over 100 volunteer hours walking rescue dogs at Animal Humane New Mexico (AHNM). I am comfortable working with some behavioral challenges. Completed training: 2026 Fear Free Shelters program “Play Groups, Meet-and-Greets, and Dog Fight Response Training.” AHNM 2025 “Advanced Dog Walker Training" AHNM “Calming Canines Training" AHNM 2024 “Safe Dog Walker Training" AHNM I've also been volunteering at spay/neuter events since 2016. Some of my photos are from those. Please note that I am not representing any organization. I work from home and I make my own schedule. I wake up before 6 am so I am available early. Helping out with pets is my favorite thing to do! Outside the home or your fenced yard, dogs will be on-leash and distanced from other animals and people. I do not mix animals from different homes.

About: I have been caring for dogs and cats my entire life and enjoy their company. I had two Labradors and four cats sharing my home, who have since gone over the Rainbow Bridge. My sister has a middle-aged rescue brindle, a two-year-old calico cat, and a Retriever puppy that I assist caring for which fills that furry gap. My diversity in caring for old and young dogs is extensive along with varieties of dogs from Labradors to Pittbull-mixes to Bassett Hounds. I love how pets fill our hearts with love and affection and I enjoy being with them, caring and playing with them. Being retired I can spend as much time as needed to care for your fur babies. Anika was absolutely wonderful watching my pets while I was away. She took such great care of my two older cats, Khaleesi and Dwight, and also kept up with my younger, very active dog Milo — which is no small task!
