I’m a substitute teacher with a flexible schedule, which allows me to adjust my availability day by day. While I love working with kids, I also love animals and enjoy having the flexibility to spend quality time caring for pets.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent as possible. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medication (if needed), and any specific household or pet preferences. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while also respecting their individual personalities and comfort levels. During visits or overnight stays, I keep the home tidy, ensure doors and gates are secure, and provide updates so pet parents feel confident their pets are happy and well cared for. My goal is to create a calm, familiar environment so pets feel safe and comfortable while their people are away.
Information Jenny P. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for a pet, it’s helpful to know their daily routine, feeding schedule, and any special needs. I appreciate learning about a pet’s personality, energy level, and any quirks or triggers so I can provide the best possible care. It’s also important to know about medical needs, medications, allergies, or mobility issues, as well as leash manners, escape tendencies, or interactions with other animals and people. For in-home care, I like to understand household expectations such as access areas, security routines, and emergency contacts.
A typical day
A typical day depends on each pet’s needs and energy level, but always includes plenty of movement, engagement, and attention. For dogs, that often means going on walks, playing fetch, and getting outside time to explore and burn energy. I adjust the length and pace of walks based on the dog’s age, health, and personality.

Pet care experience
I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for over 30 years and can’t imagine life without animals. I’ve been a pet owner since my teenage years, and caring for animals has always been a steady part of my life. Beyond my own pets, I have experience in a wide range of pet care roles. I’ve worked as a house sitter, caring for pets and homes for weeks at a time, as well as a pet sitter making multiple daily visits to ensure animals are fed, walked, exercised, and given plenty of attention. I also have experience as a dog walker and understand the importance of safe, attentive, and engaging walks. What sets me apart is my calm, reliable approach and my ability to adapt to each pet’s unique personality and routine. I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats, and I take pride in providing consistent, loving care so pets feel secure and comfortable while their people are away.
