About: Hi, my names Madi, I am a responsible adult with experience of taking care of dogs. I fostered pit bulls for almost three years, I previously dog sat for multiple families who relied on me for every trip they went on, and I once wanted to be a dog trainer so I learned a bit about dog behaviors and dog breeds. But above all else my love and passion for all the cute dogs in the world, I just want them all to feel loved. I can promise to take care of your fur baby, give them love and attention, and even send you some pictures for updates. I love puppers of all ages, sizes, and breeds and cannot wait to meet you and your companion. I also have my own dog, a small lab mix who is about one years old named Maverick. He is my best friend and my entire world - and maybe just a little spoiled. Currently, I work from home Mondays & Wednesdays, then Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays I am gone for about 9 hours total for work and commute. Saturdays and Sundays vary a lot. If I am dog walking - I like to be sure I know any reactions the dogs may have to certain things (if they eat all the trash, if they chase squirrels, if they jump on people, if they bark at dogs, etc) to create safety for me and the dog. If they stay with me - they MUST be dog friendly and meet my dog in a non-territorial location to be sure they are friendly.

About: I have always loved taking care of dogs and helping my neighbors by dog sitting, so I have experience feeding, walking, playing with, and giving lots of attention to dogs of different sizes and personalities. I’m patient, responsible, and good at making animals feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. As a college student home for the summer, I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability throughout the week. Since I don’t have a strict daily routine right now, I’m able to work around different pet care needs, whether that includes morning walks, afternoon check-ins, evening care, or overnight stays. I enjoy spending time with animals, so pet care fits naturally into my routine and gives me something I genuinely enjoy doing while I’m home for the summer. I make sure any animal feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times. I follow any instructions given by the owner, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication if needed, and overall routines to help pets feel more relaxed while their owners are away. I also make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection, while keeping their environment clean and safe. I understand that every pet has a different personality and needs, so I always try to be patient, attentive, and caring with each animal.

About: Warning: I will probably fall in love with your dog. Hi, I’m Carly! I’ve always been a “dogs are family” kind of person. Growing up, my home had five pups running around at once, so I got used to the happy chaos (and all the cuddles that came with it). These days, I’ve “downsized” to two of my own, and they’re truly my whole heart. I completely understand how stressful it can be to leave your pets with someone new- that’s why I always recommend a meet & greet before visits, so both you and your pup feel comfortable. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities, and I have experience giving oral medications when needed. Most importantly, I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own. Whether that means playtime, snuggles, or just hanging out and keeping them company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. ps- I’ve been told I take better pictures of dogs than people, so prepare for cute updates (if you want them 😂) Fortunately, I have a very lenient work schedule where I am able to make the stops in to your pet at any time during the day. I respect that it’s your pet’s space, so I let them come to me on their terms. Meet-and-greets help make things feel more familiar and comfortable for you and your pet!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 10 years old!! I love all animals honestly. I’ve walked dogs, cleaned litter boxes. I’ve also bathed pets. Also cuddles are a must! Also play time is important! I would love to pet sit anytime! Pet care would be during the week in the evenings. The weekends I’m free to anything! I can do overnight stays on the weekends, I can walk, feed, and bathe pets. Depending on which service I’m doing, I do have a yard which your dog can play in. I also can bathe pets and feed them, and if you have a cat I can clean litter boxes and play and brush them!

About: Love many different types of animals and have pet sat for many people in my family over the years. From my experience every dog has liked me. I have minimal knowledge in training dogs. And can adapt my environment to fit the personality of the dog. Im currently in college, so Mondays-Thursdays are busy for me but I am almost always available Friday-Sundays. On the warmer days I like to go for a walk around the neighborhood and back. I have a fare sized fenced yard. A 8-year-old yorkie, he is very sweet and friendly with other dogs, not much of a barker. Two other reptiles locked in their tanks, the will never be a concern with them they are very small.

About: Hello my names Addison and I’m 25 years old. For the last seven years I’ve been a senior caregiver until my client recently passed away. I’m looking to start pet sitting to fill my spare time. I’ve had dogs my whole life (small and large) and also have experience with cats. I even have experience working with reptiles and salt water aquariums. I currently reside in Northern Maryland on a corn farm with my two dogs. My husband works from home and can watch our dogs, so I can attend fully and give your animals full attention/if needed overnight. Thank you in advance for your consideration. I’m currently only pet sitting so your pet will have my full attention! Im also available for overnight stays if needed. I’m fully available on weekends as well. Pets under my watch will always get enough potty breaks and lots of love and attention. I know every pet is different and i try to mimic as close as I can to your pets routine you already have in place so you can be worry free on your vacation or trip!

About: I’ve had all kinds of pets since I was young. My parents were both veterinarians and I spent my teenage summers working in the clinic. I have dogs, cats, fish - and a gecko right now! I have a ton of experience with medical needs as well - administering medication to dogs, cats, and even fish. I’ve even done subcutaneous fluids! I’m ready for whatever your furry, scaled, or feathered friends might need! I work a flexible schedule and can work with you on your unique needs. Contact me and we can talk about how I can help! My pets are like my family. I love them like they’re my kids. I know how important they are to me and I’ll treat yours as if they’re my own. I’ll come to you, on your terms.

Kaylie was a wonderful dog sitter. One of our dogs can be cautious with new people, and Kaylie was patient, caring, and attentive, which helped our dog feel comfortable. She communicated very well throughout our time away and sent many pictures that were reassuring and appreciated. We’re grateful for the thoughtful care she provided and would happily book with her again.

Emily did a terrific job for us. She was punctual, diligent and, most importantly, very kind to our pets. One of our cats is diabetic and requires shots twice a day. Emily followed all of the instructions for feeding and dosing him and his blood sugar was spot-on when we came home. I cannot say enough good things about Emily. We will gladly hire her again.

Kerry was always punctual in her arrival and provided updates daily on her visits with Luna along with photos. Luna is a very nervous rescue so she’s not always cooperative but it seemed that Kerry was able to gain Lunas trust enough to provide the care needed. I would definitely recommend her services.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Jarrettsville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Jarrettsville with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Jarrettsville. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
