“Kari and Clint went the extra mile for our dachshund. They loved her like their own. When our flight home was canceled and it took us an extra day and a half to get home, we never had to worry about our pup. They were gracious and caring not just about our dog but about us as well as we were stuck in New York. We will definitely rebook with them.”

“Mary was able to watch our dog for a long weekend, very last minute. She is super communicative and sends updates frequently. She took our dog on walks and we know our dog was well taken care of. Mary is great!”

“Christopher is great: friendly, a very good communicator, and you can tell he genuinely enjoys pets. Highly recommend him for anyone looking for a caring sitter for your furry family members! 😀”

“The best person i could ever ask to take care of my baby Challa. Rajesh is very sweet and personable. He is wonderful with communicating and sending pictures. I will definitely bring Challa back to Rajesh. I 100% trust and know he will be taken good care of with Rajesh. Thank you so much again. Challa misses you already ?”

“Christina (& Lyla) are the best!! I’m always a mess leaving my babies and they made it a breeze. Christina was so consistent with Ollie’s updates. Ollie is an anxious dog and requires a lot of attention as he wants to be a part of your pack at all times. I have never seen him more relaxed and happy in an environment outside of his home. She truly cared for him like he was her own and it showed. I will 100% be canceling any kennel bookings I have for the future and rebook Christina every time. 10/10!!”

“Julie (and family) were so great with our 3 month puppy. We unexpectedly got a puppy a few weeks before our vacation. He was not old enough to be boarded but Julie had great reviews and responded right away that she could take our puppy. She was so great with communication and pictures throughout our trip. We knew our puppy was well taken care of. That's the best feeling! We will definitely be using her again! Our puppy seemed so relaxed and happy when we got home. Thanks, Julie!”

“Samantha was the best dog border we've ever had! Our dog is 16 years old and has a few special needs. Samantha managed his care SO well! We were gone for 12 days, and each day Samantha sent us pics and videos! We could see that he was not only well-cared for, but also happy. Our dog took to Samantha, her family, and her dog so well, we thought he might not want to come home again. Thankfully, he was happy to come home. :-) We hope to ask Samantha to care for him again when we travel.”

“Stacy is so awesome! Our fur baby Gambit is always well cared for. Stacy is also very responsive and sends updates throughout the stay. She’s our first choice whenever we need a sitter. Would highly recommend!”

“This was our first experience using a petsitter through Rover and it will not be our last! Gerard was patient, kind, and loving to our eager and energetic rescue. He always responded promptly and kept us updated with videos. Highly recommend!”

“Richard and Elyse were great- Indy had the best time with Bruce. They were attentive to her needs and made sure she had a good and safe visit. They even had a report card for Indy!! Will definitely use them again!”

“Jacklyn took such great care of our Rosie! She sent lots of updates and we could tell Rosie felt really comfortable in her home. We have Jacklyn booked again for an upcoming trip in a few weeks!”

“Mallory was absolutely amazing with Harvey & Jack🤍 She kept me updated throughout their stay, made them feel comfortable, & treated them like her own! Harvey immediately bonded with her (which says a lot because he’s very shy), & Jack came home happy, tired, & well cared for. She was attentive, communicative, & clearly loves animals. I would absolutely trust her with my boys again & highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable, kind, & patient with dogs of all personalities & sizes!”

“Brendan was very nice and easy to communicate with. His dog Duke was a sweetheart. We were a little nervous boarding Eddie we had never left him before. We would us Rover and Brendan again.”

“Dusty had such a great time at Rachel's. She met many new doggie friends. Rachel is fantastic about introducing the dogs as they arrive. Rachel is organized and thorough and thoughtful. Dusty returned home tired and relaxed. I will definitely re-book and recommend her service to others.”

“Claudia was great!! She took wonderful care of my kitty and sent lots of photos and updates. I will definitely ask her to board my cat again!! My cat seemed very happy and I was too!”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Remi loved staying with Val! Would recommend to anyone. Selected Val because I knew our dogs would love playing with one another and her completely fenced yard made it easy.”

“Joe did an above and beyond job of taking such great care of Ollie for us while we were on vacation. He asked about all of the big and little details of Ollie’s care, was very attentive to his needs and feeding schedule, and I loved that not only did Ollie get plenty of attention from Joe and his family, but he had playmates (Joe’s dogs) to play with and keep him company, and Joe sent regular picture updates! It absolutely puts us at ease that our pup got to have such loving individual attention from a family! I’ve never boarded him at a business-but I’m pretty confident that the level of personal care he got in a loving home far supersedes that of a business. I would hands down book with Joe again!”

“My Goldendoodle had an amazing stay and time with Heidi and her family, he really enjoy his time there, he Felt so comfortable around and also with Levi his new friend 🥰 I couldn’t ask for a better Sitter. Thank you Heidi 💛”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Ingalls
Kylie was awesome! Our dog was a rescue and can be hesitant around new people but the minute he saw Kylie, he acted like he had known her his whole. She sent us updates to let us know he was enjoying his stay which made us feel less guilty about vacationing without him. He spends his days lounging on the couch at home so going to a kennel would have been extremely difficult. Kylie allowed him to continue his pampered lifestyle. We will definitely be using Kylie’s services again. Thank you so much Kylie!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
