“Our dog loved Kristan. She's so sweet and I had no worries leaving our dog with her. He came home exhausted in the best way.. I think he loved being able to run freely in the yard 😊”

“Bucky has the best time with Kevin and Taylor. He comes home happy after a stay with them. They take excellent care of him and keep us informed with updates and photos throughout the stay. They even took the time to celebrate Bucky’s birthday - they truly go above and beyond.”

“Julie was very accommodating and made the process for a first time user very fluid. Bangsi my pup seemed to have a really nice time and I was always getting updates and pictures. Highly recommend!”

“Karen is very kind. I feel very comfortable leaving my small dog with her. I would definitely use her again. Kallie is a lap dog and I have not left her in over a year and a half because of Covid. Karen let Kallie sit in her lap and gave her the love and attention that she craves.”

“Gena and her family were great to watch our pup for the day! We got plenty of pictures as we were out of town and we picked him up very tired. We will definitely use Gena again!”

“We had a wonderful boarding experience with Samantha! She sent daily updates with pictures and videos. She accommodated our dog’s needs perfectly and we could tell he was happy as can be! Looking forward to using her services again soon.”

About: I have had dogs and cats for years. My friends say the animals I adopt have won the lottery. I feel quite the opposite. I am good with cats, puppies, and senior dogs. Comfortable giving meds and shots. I work part-time during the school year and home all summer and during the holidays. I am flexible during the day and evening for your pet needs I am very dependable, patient, kind and trustworthy. I have had many animals and take exceptional care of any/all animals that have been in my home.
“Adam and Allison are amazing! Our dogs had such a great time, I don’t think they even wanted to come home with us! They sent regular updates and we felt so comfortable knowing they were in good hands while we were gone. They were exhausted once we got home which just shows how much fun they had. We will definitely be using them for our future trips!”

“Britny was amazing. Super easy to work with friendly caring, cooper had a great time and I love that she sent lots of pictures to let me know he was doing well. I was never left wondering or worrying about my pup while away on a trip.”

“Shelby (my dogs name) absolutely loves Shelby and her family!! Very professional, quick to respond and sent me updates during my dogs stay. Would highly recommend her and we love her so much my dog is a regular weekly!!”

“Precious and her family are very caring and very experienced in dog care. Sunny can be somewhat slow to warm up to new people but was enabled to adjust well this first time. I was extremely satisfied with Sunny's care and would definitely ask Precious and Thomas to care for Sunny when the next need arises.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Ingalls
Kylie was awesome! Our dog was a rescue and can be hesitant around new people but the minute he saw Kylie, he acted like he had known her his whole. She sent us updates to let us know he was enjoying his stay which made us feel less guilty about vacationing without him. He spends his days lounging on the couch at home so going to a kennel would have been extremely difficult. Kylie allowed him to continue his pampered lifestyle. We will definitely be using Kylie’s services again. Thank you so much Kylie!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
