“My JoJo loved Megan and her family. We received many pictures and videos and I was certain she was being care for like she was their own. We will definitely be reaching out to Megan in the near future!”

“Absolutely amazing stay. Our plans were not super concrete so she was so flexible with me and willing to add a day last minute. Her communication was always fast and I LOVED getting pictures and updates of Nala throughout her stay.”

“Kristan is amazing! Our pup loved staying with her and enjoyed the backyard. She sent regular updates and pics, and our pup didn’t want to leave! Highly recommend Kristan - especially for long trips.”

“We’ve had Christina and her family watch our 10 month old Cavapoo a couple times now and have had such a great experience every time! Christina is the sweetest and loves the dogs she watches. Her daughters and cats are also so gentle and great with our puppy. They send lots of photos! We went out of town for a few days and felt completely at ease knowing our puppy was with them. They give her so much love and attention, and she’s always so happy there (and she is played out when we pick her up). We feel really lucky to have found them and highly recommend! 🐾 would give them more stars if we could!:)”

“Taylor and Kevin took great care of our pups while we were away for a long weekend. They were very responsive throughout the booking, dropoff and pickup process and also sent us daily photos or videos while we were away. Would highly recommend them!”

“Karen watched our Sadie for 2 weeks. We received daily updates and pictures every morning. Sadie loves running around in Karen’s great backyard and playing with her other dogs. Karen always seems to find the perfect balance of play time and rest time for Sadie. We will definitely use her again for Sadie’s care when we are away from home.”

“Adam and Allison are amazing! Our dogs had such a great time, I don’t think they even wanted to come home with us! They sent regular updates and we felt so comfortable knowing they were in good hands while we were gone. They were exhausted once we got home which just shows how much fun they had. We will definitely be using them for our future trips!”

“I have never left my dog for more than a few hours, so I was quite worried. It couldn’t have gone better! He hasn’t been around a lot of dogs but apparently fit in well. He stayed for eight days and next time I will not have any concerns. Highly recommend.”

“We had such a wonderful experience Lynna. She took such great care of our Bella and treated her like her own. She kept us updated throughout the stay by sending pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind. She was incredibly patient and caring—even hand-fed our little one when needed! Her two dogs were also so sweet and well-behaved, and they got along wonderfully. She even went the extra mile and did a little photoshoot for our pup, which was absolutely adorable! 🥰📸 We truly appreciate all the love, attention, and care she gave our dog. We would definitely recommend Lynna and would happily book with her again! ❤️🐾”

“Jennifer was the perfect choice for us and our two furry friends! We booked her for several days over Thanksgiving and she was so patient and flexible with our changing drop-off and pickup times! She is also extremely knowledgeable and really helped lower my anxiety about leaving my anxious and older dog and my quirky puppy for the first time in a long time! Definitely recommend with no hesitation and she’ll be the first Rover sitter we look for next time we have to leave them!”

About: I have dog sat my entire life, in home stays and daily visits. Cats have been my world recently and I have had several dogs since I was born including my soul dog. All animals are a friend of mine! I love pets of all shapes, sizes, and abilities. I had a senior cat for several years and am very comfortable with any additional medication or needs your pet may have! I am currently working from home, so I am able to accommodate most pet care requests! For boarding, I have no pets in home and a fenced in yard. I have cat and dog sat in home. Both as full time and drop-in. I am comfortable with whatever and happy to assist! My current house has a fenced in yard.
“Tammy is a wonderful, caring individual who has cared for my dog several times. It is very obvious she loves dogs and will give Furby the special attention he may need. I will book with Tammy again!”

“Family were very welcoming at our meet and greet. Did not end up needing to use services due to change in plans. I am confident Tilly and Miles would have enjoyed their stay.”

“Jinna took wonderful care of my Bernedoodle, Osa, for five days and nights, and I couldn’t have been happier with the experience. She kept me updated every day with pictures, videos, and messages, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. Osa enjoyed walks, playtime, and spending time with other dogs, and it was clear she was happy, comfortable, and well cared for throughout her stay. Knowing that Osa was safe, loved, and receiving such attentive care made all the difference. I came home to a happy dog, and I would absolutely trust Jinna with Osa again. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and trustworthy dog sitter.”

“Joshua provided exceptional service, demonstrating excellent communication and attentiveness to my fur baby skin allergies. He proactively provided updates and even sent a photograph. I highly recommend his services and will certainly utilize them again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Ingalls
Kylie was awesome! Our dog was a rescue and can be hesitant around new people but the minute he saw Kylie, he acted like he had known her his whole. She sent us updates to let us know he was enjoying his stay which made us feel less guilty about vacationing without him. He spends his days lounging on the couch at home so going to a kennel would have been extremely difficult. Kylie allowed him to continue his pampered lifestyle. We will definitely be using Kylie’s services again. Thank you so much Kylie!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
