“Our dog Reese had a great time with Mickey and his dogs. We love that Mickey has a training background and we didn't have to worry about Reese coming back with any bad behaviors. In fact, Mickey knows how to handle Reese better than we do. Another very important part to us is that Reese was hanging out with a loving family and not just kept in a crate. We will definitely board with Mickey again.”

“Rebeca provided excellent care to my Frankie. My pup had a bit of a bug while staying with her, and kept me informed about how she was doing and even made her some chicken and rice to ease her stomach. I will definitely book Rebeca again.”

“10/10 stars! This was our second time having Carlos watch our pup and it was an amazing experience. I could clearly see how much Whiskey enjoyed his time as when we dropped him off the second time, he acted like we were not there. He immediately wanted to go on a walk with Carlos when he got there. On top of that Carlos sends frequent updates and almost professional like photos! Highly recommend Carlos for anyone looking for a sitter.”

“Garrett, Ana and their family were so wonderful. They were very communicative and took care of our golden, Pretzel so well. Pretzel had the best time with their family! My husband and I felt very comfortable leaving pretzel with them. We will definitely book with them again!!”

“Once again, Seyla is amazing taking care of my boy, Ace. Ace immediately recognized him and jumped out of the car. I love that Ace feels safe. Ace was on medication this stay and Seyla made sure he took his meds timely and stayed on schedule all while comforting him. Seyla treats him like his own.”

“Megan was great as always! We know that when we drop Charlie off, he’s not just staying with a sitter, he’s staying with a caring family. We always get updates when we are thinking of him and we know that he is safe and enjoying himself. Charlie loves it there and we think that sometimes he’d rather stay than come home!”

“My dog Batman had a wonderful stay with Vanessa and Geoffrey. They have a great set up and were very attentive and loving towards my dog. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and will be booking again in the future!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Jona. She is kind, patient, and took the time to truly understand our dogs' needs and routine. Communication was excellent, with regular updates and photos that gave us real peace of mind. Jona is incredibly attentive, not just to our dog, but to all the dogs in her care, and creates a warm, comfortable environment where pets feel at home. We would happily book with Jona again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.”

“Chelsea provided a home away from home. We were very worried about leaving our new puppy with anyone so soon. We soon realized we made a great decision in selecting Chelsea to care for our puppy. He had caring people around him full-time and she sent photos every day. It was comforting to know he was being well cared for.”

“Sophie is so pampered with Meghan and Irene. She is older and they carry her up and down stairs to keep her safe. They fight over who is going to get to sleep next to her. They show as much love for Sophie as they do for their own dogs. Sophie is always happy to arrive at their house.”

“Jordyn was great with our dog! She and her partner were such a sweet couple and made Skye feel right at home. She provided pictures throughout the stay, which gave us so much peace of mind. Skye got along great with her pups, and Jordyn was very flexible and reliable. We would absolutely book with her again!”

“I highly recommend Sabine. She is very communicative and sends lots of photos. My little Brandy enjoys spending time with her and Sabine's little dogs who are well mannered. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Just perfect. Michelle has a lovely home with a nice park and lake area in the backyard for the dogs to enjoy. Very safe area well away from roads. Michelle communicated very well, sent photos and updates, and was completely flexible with drop off and pickup times. Someone was home with my pup all the time and Zoey really seemed to love her stay with Michelle. Highly recommended.”

“Marcela is the best sitter. My little Havapoo just loves her. I was nervous to leave my puppy with anyone when I traveled out of town for work. My pup instantly took to Marcela and I know she enjoys playing with the other small dogs that Marcela boards from time to time too. She used to be so shy but overtime boarding with Marcela helped socialize her to other dogs. Now she’s way more confident and comfortable. Marcela is always flexible and accommodating with shifts in my work and personal travel. I can’t say enough good things about her!”

“Vronnie is absolutely amazing! (a little too amazing because my pup didn’t want to leave lol) The initial meet & greet made us feel so comfortable, it felt like we’d known each other for years. Her home is immaculate & just as welcoming as she is. She kept my baby excercised, and made sure to send plenty of pictures/updates. I will absolutely be using Vronnie’s services again, and I highly recommend her!”
“David was very responsive during the booking process, and kept us very well-informed about our pup's stay with him with lots of pictures and messages. I would definitely book with him again.”

“Could not recommend Emmanuel enough! He and his family were absolutely incredible with our special needs girl who is anything but low maintenance. He provided daily updates, pictures, and the very best care possible. I have no doubt Taffy had a wonderful stay! HUGE thank you to Emmanuel for the peace of mind during our trip!”

“AJ had a blast at Tammey's. We felt very comfortable leaving him there, and her husband is great with dogs as well. AJ was well loved and we got great pictures and feedback while we were away. We'll definitely use her again!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Indian Head
We booked Jesus for 2 weeks to go to Japan. The Japan trip was planned a year in advance as it was extremely important to our youngest. Our dog, a 156 pound 2 year old Newfoundland, is extremely important to us too. He'd have been on the trip too if allowed. The day of the trip, our puppy appeared to have loose stools. I thought it was due to nerves and anxiety from all four of us having suitcases. I let Jesus know. He didn't try to cancel, charge more, or hesitate. Instead, he acted as if the puppy were his own - asking about diet, rice, chicken... This puppy ended up not having nerves but being truly sick and waking Jesus up multiple times the 1st few days we were gone. Jesus sent updates, let us know not to panic, and was reassuring. My husband wanted to cancel the trip. Showing him Jesus's texts made him feel better. Jesus had our baby in his care and it was clear that Jesus CARED and would care for our puppy as if he were his own. Our puppy recovered in a few days, good stools. We got pictures of good walks and lazy couch pictures. JESUS is who we will trust with our big guy any time we go away again, if we are forced to leave him behind.

We love Mickey! He’s trained my dog continually and kept my dog during the weekend to get him more used to other dogs and everything has gone well! We will continue training for life! Mickey is laid back and explains everything sufficiently for my family to use tactics for our dog.

Faith was simply fantastic! She was communicative, thorough, attentive, and assisted at all times before and throughout my dogs stay. She was my first time utilizing rover and having my dog away for an extended stay. He fit right in, appeared at ease, and was up to his normal ways. When I went to pick up my dog, he looked healthy, confident, no fear or anxiety on him whatsoever. That was one of the most telling things that Faith and her family took great care of my dog. I cannot recommend her any higher and I will certainly be requesting her services again. Thanks again for everything Faith!

Dinijah was amazing! She took such great care our my dogs and kept me updated with photos and messages. They absolutely loved her! She took the time to get to know our dogs personalities, routines, and quirks, and I could tell right away that my pup felt comfortable and happy around her. Super reliable and caring, I’ll definitely book again!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
