“Katherine is such a sweet and loving person. She was very nice and caring to Mylo. Mylo warmed up to her easily. Would request her to take care Mylo if ever we come back to Napa. Thank you very much for today.”

“My dog had a great time with Julia! I could tell because he came back to me very tired and very happy, which I appreciated because he fell asleep right when I got home and I could relax, lol. Julia was also very professional and very kind with her communication. I would definitely book with Julia again!”

“Lauren was so kind and agreed to watch S’more last minute while we had movers at our home. She kept me informed with pictures and gave me a full report upon pick up. Will definitely use her services again!”

About: I have had many pets, but mainly dogs over the years. Raised some from puppies and currently have a very nice and well taken care of elderly dog. I also have 2 cats. Looking forward to meeting your furry loved one. I work from home and have a very flexible work schedule. My dog can also hang out or walk with yours if they need some company. Happy to follow any rules or special requests to keep your dog(s) safe and comfortable, whatever makes you and your dog feel the most at ease.
“Greg provided the perfect location for our dogs to spend the day while we were at Bottlerock. His home is close to the Napa Valley Expo and Greg allowed us to leave our car at his place. It was great that our dogs could run around his dog-proof fenced yard and hang out with Greg and his dogs. Greg took good care of both our young active dog and our older sedentary dog, making our day in Napa very relaxing.”

“Ashlyn and her fiance were so great! We have an anxious golden and they did a wonderful job putting him at ease. They gave the dogs (we have two) a ton of attention and sent so many awesome photos. We also love that they only take one family's dog(s) at a time to hang out with their own dog Boots. Looking forward to using them again.”

“Lindsey is absolutely wonderful! She watched our little boy while we were at a wedding and she took great care of him! She sent frequent videos and pictures and updates and I wondered if he’d even want to leave haha. She made a potentially stressful day completely worry-free!”

“Hannah was amazing. Very knowledgeable and professional. Hannah took great care of Terra and even took the time to get to know her first and then introduce her to the rest of her squad. Amazing property, I highly recommend Hannah for your pup’s needs, your dog(s) will be greatly taken care of! (:”

About: I have over 20 years of experience owning and caring for friend’s dogs and cats. I have cared for senior animals and ones with medical needs as well. I work fully remote, so lots of attention and activity are on the board! We go on a couple walks a day and there is a dog social in my neighborhood if you are amenable to that. I have a dog and cat at home and they are used to other animals in their space and share it well. I follow detailed instructions well.
“Stephanie kindly agreed to watch our pup when our dog sitter fell through last minute, and maintained good communication, sending updates and pics throughout the day. Much appreciated!”

“This was our first time using Rover and Tiffany was great at making us feel at ease while we did some non dog friendly Napa activities during the day. We got photo and video updates every hour. Would definitely recommend!”

About: Hi, my name is Kaitlyn and I have grown up with dogs, cats, and horses. I understand that your pets can be one of the most important parts of your life. I will be there to keep them healthy and happy until you can come home. I am available to give loving care to your pets. I completed my bachelors of science at the University of California Davis and majored in Animal Science. I volunteered and fostered kittens at ARF for 4 years during high school. I also worked at a job with dogs for four years during this time. During college I did Rover for four years. After college I worked at two different small animal vets as a technician. I know work with animal shelter animals. I have 9 years of pet sitting and dog walking experience. I have enjoyed working with dogs, cats, horses, birds, and small animals. I would love to meet your pets! I am able to care for your pets before and after my work hours. My schedule is usually changing weekly, but I am available most mornings. I have house sit and cared for animals for over 9 years. I have many years of experience with all different types of animals with many different temperaments.
“David took amazing care of Otis! I'm not the easiest owner as I'm always worried about my pup. I've almost always failed to successfully find someone on Rover. David was communicative, helpful, and just clearly understands and knows how to care for dogs. His dog Rosie is really sweet, too. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to leave my dog with David and was totally comfortable the entire time I was away. I will definitely use David anytime I'm in the Napa area for overnight care or just someone to watch Otis for the day.”

“Andrew is the best! Brieze is always happy with tail wagging when I drop her off for daycare, and I am thrilled to know while I’m busy at work that she is getting amazing care, playtime with other dogs, and important socialization. 12/10 would recommend!”

About: My goal is to create a fun and loving home away from home for your furry friend! I’ll send you pics of your pup while we go on walks and play. I'm currently working from home in American Canyon and am available during the days to care for your pup! While mainly open to walking and drop in visits, I can consider home stays for dogs I get more comfortable with. I tailor my care to each doggy’s needs and service as requested. For dog walking, I typically do 30-minute walks in the park, but can adjust based on the dog's breed, energy level, and personality!

My dog had a great time with Julia! I could tell because he came back to me very tired and very happy, which I appreciated because he fell asleep right when I got home and I could relax, lol. Great communication - Greg replied to our last minute booking in a timely manner, he coordinated the stay proactively & provided updates throughout the day. Greg’s Place - the yard is large & fully fenced, there are cozy dog beds & free access for the dogs indoor/outdoors. Greg’s Fur babies - Bubby & Chloe are both lovely, friendly dogs who readily invited & helped to look after our dog in their home. Would definitely book again. Thanks Greg!

Ciana and her husband were great caring for Fred, our 10 years old Westie! I was a bit nervous leaving Fred for the first time, as he has EPI and requires extra care with the preparation of his meals (he takes pancreatic enzymes). Ciana went above and beyond to keep me at ease and did a fantastic job with Fred. Thank you Ciana! We’ll definitely reach out again next time we’re in Napa!

Katie was absolutely wonderful with Ricky and Randy! They clearly loved her and had such a great day! Walks, thoughtful updates, and lots of care. I felt completely at ease knowing the pups were in such good hands, and it was obvious they were happy and well cared for. I’m so glad we found Katie and wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again!

Nancy was so great to take my dog so last minute. She was very kind and understanding with Sasha. She took her for walks and sent pics. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a sitter in Napa while they are visiting wineries that aren’t dog friendly. Thanks again Nancy!

Julie is such a gem. My seven month old dog Gigi had a great time with Julie, her family and her other dogs. Her fenced backyard and playtime with the other dogs, and Julie was a very enriching experience for my dog. She was all tuckered out at the end of the day. We recently adopted our dog and this was our first Rover experience and Julie really put me at ease. I appreciated her great and fast communication. I really enjoyed receiving the photos she sent me throughout the day. Next time I’m in Napa I would definitely like to bring Gigi to Julie‘s home for daycare! Thank you, Julie!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Imola commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
