“Had no worries while we were on our vacation. Jessie sent us pictures and updates along the way, and it was so nice to come back knowing our house and our puppers had been taken care of. Thank you Jessie!”

“Gianna was AMAZING with Stella - and managed her super well, despite Stella not being super easy at first! She was really communicative and Stella ended up having a great time with her!”

“Channing housesat for our two dogs and our cat with loving care. She obviously knows a lot about taking care of animals and our three family members--two of which are well past middle age--responded well. We look forward to working with Channing in the future!”

“Gina is awesome! She watched our dogs and house while we were away on a new years trip, and we couldn’t have been happier with choosing her from the Rover app. Updates, communication, and peace of mind were all on point. Coming home to two very happy dogs, and a nicely taken care of house was the best way to end our 5 days away. We’ll definitely be using her again in the future!”

“Kelly was a fantastic sitter for my fur baby Onyx! She was in regular communication, sent lots of pics and kept me updated as necessary. Onyx was well taken care of and Kelly was loving, patient and kind with her. She worked with me on crazy changes to my flight schedule and even offered to stay late which I really appreciated. She left my house clean and fresh and was a pleasure to work with. She is reliable and a great communicator. She even checked on Onyx the day after my return. I’d definitely have Kelly again and am already trying to book her for a future date. Thank you Kelly for taking such great care of Onyx, for being so loving with her and for being willing to work with me on all levels!”

About: I have grown up with dogs all my life. I have been around all sorts of personalities and continue to do so with our furry friends. I have spent time volunteering at the SPCA in Fresno (my home town) and have always found animals interesting and fun. I they are always a delight to be around and getting to know them is always a treat. If pet sitting at a clients house, I would start my morning off early at around 4am making sure that your fur baby is ready for the day. By the time 7:45am rolls around I am getting myself ready for work and go to my regular day job which usually lasts until 5:30pm. After 6:00pm I will be at your house and will continue to care for and be a wonderful friend to all your pets. For walking jobs it will most likely take place on my days off (generally Thursday and Friday) or from 6:00pm-9:00pm. You can set the length and route for how long walks need to be, I am more than able to keep up with your pet’s needs. My Full Time job comes first, with my schedule from 8:45am to 6:00pm. I am always willing to work with you on how to best provide my attention for your fur baby. I work well when I have a detailed checklist of things that need to be taken care of. I don’t like to wing things. I will always provide plenty of pictures and videos daily so you know that your baby(s) and your house is in good hands. My phone is always at my side so if at any point you are feeling worried or just want to FaceTime, Skype, etc. your furry companion I am more than able to make that happen. Just know for days that I work my regular day job I ask that you remain patient and I will respond as soon as I am able.
“We love Eliana! She was amazing. My fur babies loved her. She took care of our 2 dogs, 2 chinchillas, and 2 tortoises. We went to Kauai for 8days and received lots of photos and videos. Highly recommend!!”

“Logan was great. He moved into our townhouse & took care of our new, young, high-strung rescue pup for 16 days so we could take a trip planned long before adoption was a consideration. We returned to a shipshape house & a healthy, happy dog. Logan stayed in touch during our absence with regular tects & photos. I only hesitate giving Logan the highest marks because I really don’t want to have to compete for his services.”

“Monica took great care of my aging, somewhat needy pittie and her sister kitty, and kept me informed with messages and photos. Great communication! My house was left clean and linens washed. My deck plants were also well taken care of. Hope for a repeat someday.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since a young age. Ever since my family came together with our first Chihuahua, Gito, my parents imbued me with strong morals of care and respect for animals. I take primary care of our golden, chihuahua, and shitzu. Every dog is unique, and my care style with pets is individual to every pet I meet. Dialogue with me will always begin with discussing the unique needs and personality of your pet. While at home, pet care requires feeding the dogs, taking them on walk, and care for our Chihuahua, as he is getting older and has arthritis and impacted by urinary incontinence. Everyone’s situation is different; I’m comfortable in new environments and respecting personal boundaries. I have experience working different family friends and acquaintances in their homes for extended pet sitting stays, always a pleasure. Reach out to me if you’d like to connect more about my approach.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Imola
Channing was wonderful with my three pets, Brie, Reggie, and Penny! From the very beginning, she was incredibly sweet, responsive, and communicative. She sent frequent updates and photos throughout my trip, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. She also took amazing care of my home! I came back to an immaculate apartment. She washed the bedding and towels, put away the dishes, and honestly left my place even cleaner than I had left it. I really appreciated how thoughtful and respectful she was of my space. There was a small hiccup on the first day when an unexpected maintenance visit led to my dog, Brie, slipping out the front door and startling the maintenance worker with her big presence. Thankfully, everyone was okay! It was just one of those unpredictable situations and a good learning experience for me, too. I would have appreciated hearing about it a little sooner, but I completely understand that unexpected things happen, especially with pets! Overall, Channing was kind, attentive, reliable, and went above and beyond in caring for my pets and home. I would absolutely book her again and truly appreciate everything she did for my little crew! ❤️

Jessie was an amazing sitter for my 2 yorkies. We needed a last minute sitter while in town, so we could attend a friend's birthday party. She was on time, thr pups loved her. She sent updates and pictures while we were out. I would use her again!!! Absolutely great. Thanks jessie

We booked with Gina for a five day trip and were very happy with her care of our pets and home. She has a very calm, grounded presence that I'm sure my dogs appreciated, and I really liked that she diligently kept them to their usual routine meaning less disruption for them. She's very responsive with communication, and we felt confident leaving our home and pets in her care. Thank you, Gina!
Olivia was fantastic! She was patient with our boys and they became fast friends! We felt confident and comfortable leaving for our honeymoon with our boys in her care. She was communicative and sent pictures/updates daily. House was clean, bedding was washed and bed was made upon our return! We’ve never left our boys with anyone but family before but are so happy to have found someone not only we are comfortable with but our boys as well. Will absolutely try to book with Olivia again the next time we need someone to watch our boys! 💫

Avery did a meet and greet before sitting Archie the first time, and asked good questions. She arrived on time for the overnight stay and left Archie and the house as we left them. She was gentle and patient with Archie, who takes awhile to warm up to new people. We would use her again for dog sitting.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost of House Sitting in Imola is $56 per night as of November 2026. Most bookings cost between $33 and $114 per night. On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets, and your pet’s specific needs. As long as your booking dates and pet profiles are accurate, the price shown before you confirm is the total, including any booking fee.
As of November 2026, there are 5,072 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Imola. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Imola walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Imola maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Imola choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
