About: Firefighter/paramedic and dog/cat lover. Have had multiple dogs, cats as a child and always a dog and/or cat as an adult. Dependable, trusted and active with your fur baby. Keeping dogs and cats happy, healthy and active. I work as a private personal trainer full time. But I have breaks thru out the day and afternoon I'm home for a few hours. Can also adjust my schedule as needed. My mornings start early so I make sure your fur baby is taken out for a walk, bathroom break has meal/water. Afternoon play with them etc. Will take videos/pics and send to client. I do train later in evening. Once home and cooler I normally will take them for a longer walk. This is all dependent on what the owner wants and age/mobility of the animal. Cats make sure are fed, water, clean cat box and played with. Walks are on leash. I will stop or cross to other side if other dogs coming so no potential incidents.

About: I have been involved in animal rescue for the past 15 years. I have extensive experience with dogs with behavioral and medical issues. I have owned dogs that were extremely abused and were aggressive. I am able to respect their boundaries and create an environment that is supportive and nurturing. I also have experience with medically needy dogs. I have no issues administering medication, whether orally or with injections. One of my senior rescues that recently passed required medication every 8 hours and eye drops multiple times daily. She was aggressive and never took them without a fight but I found a way to ensure she got the care she needed to live a long and comfortable life. My current two Shih Tzus are younger. I have taken them to training and worked extensively on socializing them. I work from home so I am always available to take care of dogs. I can offer plenty of play time, potty breaks and constant supervision. I have a fenced yard. Dogs are always supervised when they go outside. I have rescued for many years. I have extensive experience with medically needy dogs and dogs with behavioral issues. Keeping the dogs safe is my number one priority. Coming into a new environment can be stressful and I understand respecting a dogs boundaries. Some dogs are not comfortable being handled in the beginning and need to adjust on their own time. My 15+ years of experience rescuing senior dogs with medical and behavioral issues has taught me each dog is different and will adjust slowly and on their own schedule.

This was my first time leaving my dog for a long period and I was beyond nervous. One thing I can say is Demi communicates so well and is very honest about how the dog is doing. Richard, Sam and Benji were fantastic — it was like Sep went to summer camp and didn’t want to come home. Their house and yard were perfect. Benji was an active playmate for Sep. We were set to be out of the country for 10 days. Piper, our 14 year old yorkie, had been staying with another lady when we would go somewhere that would not accommodate dogs, but she retired last year. I had originally found her on Rover and decided to look again for a dog With specific needs. I contacted Emily and we took Piper over to visit. She loved it there and Emily could not get enough of Piper, and she said yes! I had written instructions on feeding, quirks, etc. The day we dropped her off. Emily sent pictures and videos of what they had been doing all week! Piper loved the big dog pillow and claimed it as hers! We came back and was ready for home but I know piper would love to visit Emily again. Since she only takes one dog at a time that was a blessing. I highly recommend Emily to anyone who has a senior dog. We love her!
