About: When you have 5 kids in the house, we ended up with a lot of different animals! We had everything, giant fish tanks with specialty fish, bunnies, hamsters, snakes, frogs, birds, lizards, of course dogs and cats, and we even fostered an opossum while we waited for the wildlife refuge to come get him. It teaches you a lot of responsibility at a young age and it gave me a lot of compassion for animals too. Pets are a privilege and we're so lucky to have them. I'm finishing up classes and preparing to transfer to Cal Poly for landscape architecture but I'm done for the summer. Back to serving and time to make some extra money! In my home my cats have a strict feeding schedule and a variety of feeding needs. One only gets wet food and dry food makes her sick, one will eat until he pops and the other free feeds with a microchip activated food bowl to protect from the previously mentioned fatty. I understand the complications that come with having pets, especially multiple pets, and I have all the love and patience in the world to give.

About: Hi, my name is Landon, I'm from Salinas, California and it's my second year living in Eugene. I attended the university last year and now I'm taking a gap year to get my financials in order, in state tuition, etc. so I can finish my degree. My girlfriend and I have been together 3 years and her parents have 17 and 20 years of experience in the animal field. Her dad is one of the head animal control officers for Monterey County (where we're from) and has taught both of us so much about dogs and cats. Whether it be training methods, foods that are better than others, how to recognize certain behavioral habits, or any problem we come to him with, her dad has taught us how to truly take the best care of a dog. If I were to be accepted to take care of your pet, I would use all of my tools and knowledge and my whole heart to show your furry kid love. Currently, I'm looking for any job so my schedule is wide open! Caring for your pet will be at the top of my list as soon as I hear I can take care of them. So I unfortunately would not be able to care for pets at my house for extended periods of time, as my place doesn't allow ownership of pets, but one night wouldn't hurt at all. Any pet I encounter I treat as if it were my own, and with that comes smothering them with love, and caring to meet their needs as a pup while to a certain degree, spoiling them!

About: I've had the gift of house/pet sitting for 15 years, and it is without a doubt the most rewarding job I've ever experienced! Personally, I've had dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, horses, and hermit crabs as pets, besides the odd rescued baby bird, bunny, or mouse. On top of cats, dogs, and fish, I've had the opportunity to care for alpacas, an African grey parrot, and saltwater fish/reefs, while pet sitting. Every animal I encounter has its own identity and temperament, which is always fun and interesting to observe and base my care on. I feel like such a winner when I get a standoffish animal to trust me! Throughout my life I've had an array of animals to bond with, though for a long period recently we had just one cat. Mournfully, a few years ago, my dad and I had to part with our beloved Stevie. She was our close companion for over 15 years, and I still miss her immensely. Her quirks and routines still cross my mind, which brings all the things that made her unique and lovable up into my heart. Pet sitting warms my heart, and definitely fills the need that I still have for animal companionship (but without the heartbreak). Pet sitting is a way for me to have the joy of loving and caring for a pet in an empathetic way: in their own home, on their own schedule, stepping into their owner's (figurative) shoes for a bit, to make *everyone* more comfortable. Time and again, it's proven to be the best way I've found to give personalized care to precious pets, and allow owners to truly enjoy their time away. My part-time library job offers me a lot of flexibility, leaving me the opportunity to do more of what I love. Traveling, exploring new areas, experiencing new food, going to music events, working out/walking, spiritual activities, and creative endeavors have a place in my life because of this balance. About: From childhood to adulthood, I have always had a dog in my life. I am empathetic toward these kind souls and adore cute cats too! I am a former Coast Guardsman working as a behavioral therapist for children with autism and an aspiring teacher. As a full time online college student, I am more than happy to spend time with your animal. My role as a behavioral therapist only demands I leave the house on Mon, Wed, and Fri from 0900-1130 & 1530-1730. Outside of that and online classes (which have no schedule), I am free for pet care. I am athletic, so if your dog like to run, play, or take long walks, I will be there for it. As a self-proclaimed cuddler, your pet will receive tons of affections. Because of my military experience, I can closely adhere to any specific schedule your animal has.

About: I housesit for multiple family friends with animals! I enjoy spending time just lounging around and keeping them company! Walking or playing with dogs is the best because it gets their energy out and sometimes even just lounging around with them is best! I work as a teacher during the school year so I can do early mornings and evenings! During the summer I am much more open and love spending time just having a chill day with animals! I won’t be bringing animals to my personal house but I know pet friendly places to walk animals to play with. I have animals myself and they are super sweet but older and territorial with their personal space.

About: I own and take care of animals including horses, cows, goats, sheep, pigs, poultry, dogs, cats, reptiles, and fish. People in my family and outside of my family have trusted me with their animals. Being with animals makes me happy and keeping them healthy and safe is my priority. I’ve also worked at a dog kennel for 2 1/2 years and am a very trusted employee there. I have dealt with all kind of dog temperaments and behaviors and I am very excited to get to know your fur baby!🐾 I am will be starting school at Cal Poly in the fall studying animal science. I do have a job at a dog kennel but have long enough breaks to be able to check on the dogs and I work about 3-4 days a week. I ensure all the animals have the proper amount of food everyday, along with making sure they have enough water. If there is no doggy door I let the animals out as frequently as needed. I always make sure they have lots of walks, playtime, and cuddles.
