About: I am a former Zookeeper and Vet Assistant, with a degree in Zoo Animal Technology. Now providing loving, reliable care, and let's not forget adventures, for your critters. Puppies, kittens, seniors; housesits, walks, drop in's, administering medications, I've got you covered. I am currently taking care of pet friends full time. I do my best to adhere to their routines, to ensure a safe, fun, stress free environment. If a pet schedule needs to be altered, it will be discussed with you first. When in pet client homes, your rules and preferences will be followed. And since I am a full time critter sitter, the fur kids will be given lots of attention. I was also reminded on a daily basis growing up, that I wasn't raised in a barn. No messes will be left!
“Peter was very patient and compassionate with my reactive dog. He has a lot of knowledge and understanding of behaviors and went above and beyond to make her comfortable. He clearly wants to ensure the best possible experience for you and your pet.”

“Marion was very responsive and took great care of my pup! Would definitely recommend Her if you need pet sitting. So thankful to have met her and will definitely book again next time I am out of town or want to give my pup some activity when I am working long days.”

“Lindsay has been amazing over the past couple of weeks - looking in after our Twilight kittie while we had to be away. She has been so communicative, responsive, and caring. We are lucky to have found her.”

“Siarra was great. She checked on our two older cats over a weekend for us. Spent time with them, emptying litter boxes, feeding them and sending us some good pictures. I would definitely recommend her, and I’m sure we will use her again.”

“Cambryel Is a dog whisperer. My dog who gets easily overexcited was completely relaxed immediately when he met her the first time. Then she came back for the second time when I wasn't home to see how he would be, and he was again very mellow. She has a calming presence for super active dogs, like doodles, and also experience with the more energetic breeds.”

“Sarah was amazing!! I have two very shy cats and she won them both over with kindness and patience. They both love her!! And I loved her care for the house, great questions and videos that she sent with every visit! I never worried once while on vacation—that’s how good she is!!”
About: I’ve had dogs since I was 5 years old. I have experience with both small and large breeds. It will be all love and play that your furbaby won’t even notice you’re gone! I work full time on weekdays (11am-6pm), with a 30 min commute, and am available early mornings and evenings. On weekends I am free almost all day. I have a dog at home and cannot care for more at my place due to limited space. I am happy to care for others at their home.
“Emma was fantastic! She checked in on our dog multiple times, keeping us updated and making sure he was well cared for. Her attention to detail and kindness gave us peace of mind while we were away.”

“Kate did a great job! She was reliable, and provided an update to me every day! Trippy is very shy, but Kate managed to win Trippy's trust right away (honestly, I was very surprised!!!). When I returned home, Trippy was calm and happy to see me- clearly not stressed about being left alone while I was away. Kate made her feel that way, and I am grateful!! Thank you Kate!”

About: I’ve watched hundreds of animals and treated them lovingly and like my own every time; I have 20+ years experience ranging from French bull Dogs, Terriers, Retrievers, Blue Heelers, Huskies, Labs, Pits & Mutts galore. Currently, when I am home, I am available. There are no interferences. I love to walk and hike and do so every day; having a pup of my own is a goal, until then, I’ll enjoy every dog sitting opportunity & treat yours like gold! I will adhere to any ground rules set forth by owner. I do have a fenced yard where I hang out. I also have one older cat who keeps to herself. At least, I walk dogs twice a day that I care for. I do my best to understand their parents rules at home to emulate them in my own, or enforce them in theirs, I.e. dogs not allowed on furniture etc. I enjoy running with pups if they like to as well. I’ll basically love on your dog and care for it as if it were my own.
“Luna is an excellent sitter! My cats loved her, and she took great care of them. She took lots of pictures and was easy to get a hold of if anything came up. Thank you Luna!!!”

“Barbara is experienced, intuitive, dependable and very caring. Our very picky cat responded well to her and she seemed to know exactly what he wanted or needed. She came twice a day at the times we agreed upon (even over the holidays) to feed him, give fresh water, change litter and take care of whatever else he was accustomed to. And to play with him, a lot! It was our first time leaving him with "strangers" , and of course we were nervous. But it all worked out very well and we were quite pleased with her. We're going to book Barbara again for another trip this year.”

About: I grew up with dogs and recently lost my best friend, a corgi, Teddy. As a long time dog-owner, I understand how much anxiety goes into leaving your dog with someone else. I will treat your dog/s as if they were my own. I have much experience with aging / elderly dogs and dogs with special needs (dogs with leash aggression, anxiety, allergies, and prosthetic limbs/wheel chairs). My goal is to get to know you and your dog, and provide tailored service to meet your wants and your furry loved one's needs. I am happy to provide updates and pictures of our time together too! I work from home and have a flexible schedule. Please reach out if you have any additional questions for me! Thank you! I work from home, which allows for frequent walks, potty breaks and play time! Both the dogs and myself appreciate the breaks within the day! I have a fenced in yard and multiple ring cameras to ensure everyone's safety. Neighboring houses do not have dogs; it is a quiet and peaceful environment.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Howell Mountain
Siarra did a wonderful job dropping in twice a day to care for our cat. She gave him extra love and attention when she could, even spending a whole morning with him. He got supervised outdoor time as requested and I appreciated the many cute photos she sent. Siarra was very prompt with communicating with me. I would love to have her provide pet care in the future :)

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Howell Mountain. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
