I have taken care of a 1-year-old cat along with 3 other adult cats, including a cat who required at least 30 minutes of playtime and interaction every day. I have also cared for a large dog who ate home-cooked soup mixed with his food at specific feeding times, as well as a husky who stayed in an air-conditioned dog house unit and required daily vitamins and attentive care. About: I'm 50 years old, and have mostly owned pit bull breed dogs, but I love all breeds. From 2010 to 2018, my APBT was trained as a therapy animal, we did hospital visits and library events with children. I taught him several tricks, such as left, right, speak, play dead. My current pit is a rescue and I am off leash training. Dog Walking: I work in the Kankakee area, so coming to walk your dog in Kankakee, Bradley, Bourbonnais, is NO problem! Either in the mornings (after 7am) and/or later in the evenings (8ish pm) it's all negotiable. I live in Iroquois county, so I have more availability to walk your dog if you are in that area. Pet Sitting: I can come to sit in your home, if that is preferred. I am also available to just come let them outside, spend time and play, feed, water, clean up. Boarding: I would love to open our home to your precious babies. Non smoking, fenced in yard, lots of walks in my small town. My dog friendly pup can't wait to play tag around the dining room table. All pets are welcome on the couches and have full access to the entire 1st floor, including the bed in the spare room. My husband and I work different shifts, so someone is usually always home. A maximum of 3 to 4 hours of an occasional overlap in shifts. I am able to crate your pet if preferred, or close off access to half of the living space. Before boarding, a few meet and greets are necessary. More details as we move forward. Cats: I will help with your cats, spending time, play, feed, clean litter boxes. I also have several years of experience with birds. I know how important socializing is to birds, and leaving them alone can cause problems and stress. Boarding of cats and birds can be discussed. As I'm nearing retirement from the Healthcare field, I would like to do more of what I love, which is caring for and spending time with animals. My whole life I have loved animals, some of my main activities now is walking my dog to reach my health/fitness goals along with enjoying the company of my dog. "RATES LISTED HERE ARE BASIC RATES- THEY MAY BE ADJUSTED ON A CASE BY CASE SCENARIO (UP OR DOWN) DEPENDING ON THAT ANIMALS PARTICULAR NEEDS" *******IMO- ANIMALS trump most people 😁 I Specialize in special needs animals & alternative ways to treat that aren't offered by most vets due to my life long experience , I know what works. I also am fond on taking care of any & all animals including horses and farm animals. Right down to guinea pigs n snakes of all kinds. If you need dog boarding, as long as I have notice I can make myself available & home 24/7 ** I work M-F daily, so any animal I can work into my schedule is a great fit. I cannot do daily letting out of dogs unless I have NOTICE (deposit required) I am open to ANY animal watched in my home if that is preferential. I can also "stay" in your home outside of my daily work schedule I'm in a huge farm house, large yard and except for weekly job am always home for one on one. Im extremely close to my local vet and have dealt with many different situations.
