About: Hi there, I’m Kate! I’ve offered pet sitting on Rover and another platform for 3yrs with positive reviews. I love animals and have over 20yrs of experience caring for pets, working on farms, and at shelters. My mother trains dogs professionally and, in the process, she trained me! I’m comfortable handling all sizes of dogs, breeds, and behaviors and it brings me so much joy to meet and get-to-know your pet. As your sitter, I’ll proactively send photos with updates and reach out with any questions or observations. I also volunteer at a no-kill shelter and have a cat with special needs, so if your pet has any special care instructions I’m happy to accommodate them. I have a flexible work schedule which allows me to drop-in for your pet or stay the day or night. I’m happy to work with you! I’m very comfortable assessing a pet’s behaviors, motivations, and fears to ensure a safe and fun experience together. From the start, it was clear she truly understands dogs and their personalities — especially a breed like a Basenji, which isn’t always the easiest! She was incredibly attentive, patient with our puppy, and thoughtful about making sure both dogs felt comfortable and cared for. We received regular updates and so many amazing photos, which made it clear our dogs were happy, relaxed, and getting plenty of attention. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
