“Marisol did a fantastic job taking care of my two shy kitties! I warned her that she’d probably only see them under the bed, but she sent photos of them out and about and bugging her for attention. I would definitely book again with her.”

“Hayleigh did a wonderful job with our cats. They were adopted litter mates at the age of 3 months. They have never been without us, so they were a little shy about showing themselves. Everything was done as asked, feeding, litter box, etc. Would use again if the need arises.”

“Did a great job with my kitties—went above and beyond taking care of them, super reliable, and good communication. Left my place in great condition, and my kitties love her!”

“Melanie was great! We were nervous leaving our cats for two weeks but she was very reassuring and kind to our pets- giving each the individual care and attention they needed. She sent regular updates and even communicated with our daughter as we were out of the country. Would book with her again!”

“I’ve used Elizabeth for over nights and drop in visits, and she’s wonderful. My boxer ladies love her, and I greatly appreciate that she pays attention to detail and is very communicative”

“Jill took great care of our golden retriever while we were away and had super communication - providing updates with each drop-in. We felt very assured that Franklin was in good hands. Thanks, Jill!”

About: Ever since i was little we've always had animals at home, I have experience caring for animals with different needs and personalities. I'm very attentive to pet behavior and i understand how important routines, patience, and trust are when caring for someone's pet, my number 1 priority is to make them feel safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away. I'm currently working part-time so Mondays-Fridays i am available to care for pets, i am able to do weekends if needed, but my schedule is pretty open! I have a Mini Austrailian Shepherd named Teagan who is my fur baby, she goes out about every two hours but if she really needs to go she will tell you, she gets along great with other dogs, and she is full of personality and loves to play!
“We had such a wonderful experience with Amanda. Leaving a small puppy and other dog (both Basenjis) in someone else’s care can be nerve-racking, but Amanda made the entire process feel effortless and reassuring. From the start, it was clear she truly understands dogs and their personalities — especially a breed like a Basenji, which isn’t always the easiest! She was incredibly attentive, patient with our puppy, and thoughtful about making sure both dogs felt comfortable and cared for. We received regular updates and so many amazing photos, which made it clear our dogs were happy, relaxed, and getting plenty of attention. When we returned home, both dogs were calm, content, and clearly well cared for. It gave a lot of peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We would absolutely trust them again with Amanda. We will absolutely have her back again, I highly recommend Amanda to anyone looking for a responsible, kind, and genuinely great pet sitter.”
“Annebelle did such a good job with my pup! I needed to find a walker last minute and she was able to come by and my special old man dog absolutely loved her. 10/10 highly recommend”

About: Hi! My name is Olivia but everyone calls me Olive! Caring for animals has been my lifelong passion, starting with volunteering at the local shelter ever since I was old enough. I truly Olive all pets! My background provides expertise across many different needs and temperaments. My journey began volunteering at the animal shelter, where duties included daily animal care, dog walking and socialization, and kennel cleaning. In my more recent history, I gained deep experience working at a non-profit cat rescue, with duties including specialized feeding, medication administration, sanitation, and monitoring feline health. Building on this, I'm especially skilled with young cats through fostering kittens, which entails providing 24/7 care for vulnerable babies, managing strict feeding schedules, facilitating litter box training, and ensuring daily socialization. I also volunteered at a wildlife rescue in Santa Fe, New Mexico, demonstrating my commitment to advanced animal care and hands-on experience in diverse environments. I also have a special soft spot for the seniors! Having provided gentle, loving care for my own cherished senior dogs and cats throughout my life, I specialize in meeting their specific needs, from medication to quiet companionship. I look forward to providing your pets with the knowledgeable and compassionate care they deserve. As a full-time online student, I have no competing job obligations, allowing for maximum flexibility. I am fully available for early morning services, midday check-ins, and dog walks. I manage my brief Monday and Wednesday night classes by simply scheduling evening care earlier on those two days, ensuring consistent, reliable service. My availability is ideal for daily care and dedicated overnight house sitting for your pets! When your furry family is in my care, they are showered with My affection, cuddles, and all their familiar comforts! My goal is to make their time away from you feel safe, comfortable, and full of fun. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
