“Karri was great with our elderly dog while we were gone for a week. She stayed in our home and took care of him like he was her own. She went over and above in taking care of Ben. He has ongoing health issues that can change very quickly and she easily adapted to his needs, gave meds and even completed ear cleanings when needed. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter. We will not hesitate to have Karri stay with Ben again.”

About: I worked at a dog/cat daycare and boarding facility for 3 years so I know dog/cat behavior, safely protocols and procedures well, and I am passionate about their wellbeing. I am currently working part-time so I am pretty flexible with my time and availability. I also love going on walks so having a pup with me would make it a lot more enjoyable. I will follow the instructions provided to me. I also love to give extra affection and attention when wanted and or needed. I am familiar with administering medications if needed.
“Danish had a wonderful time with Samantha! I got daily updates on their time together. Samantha is responsive, easy going, and great to work with. We are definitely going to book with Samantha again!”

About: I have taken care of dogs and horses and absolutely enjoy making sure they feel safe and loved. Pets bring so much joy and comfort. I hope to do the same for the pets I am watching. I'm currently working part-time, so I am available for more time. My son is off to the Marines, so I can stay at the client's house. This love for pet sitting began when my friends asked me to take care of their animals while they were on. vacation I prefer the pets at the client's house, where they feel more comfortable. Building trust with pets is key; they feel safe and secure while parents are gone. I will communicate with you as well as you see fit when you are gone to ensure you are happy and safe.
“Kelly was amazing! It was our first time using Rover and she helped ease my first time jitters. Our dog has separation anxiety and she was available to house sit and be there the majority of the time. She sent videos and photos for our kids and us to see. She walked and played outside a lot keeping our dog active and thus calmer.”

“Izabelle did a great job watching our high energy Australian Shepherd for the weekend. She sent many pictures, which I really enjoyed. My dog looked happy and the house was left in great condition. Thank you Izabelle!”

“Jade is a wonderful rover sitter. She took great care of our senior Pomeranian and our home while we were out of the country on vacation. She even drove us to the airport and back. We will definitely work with her in the future as long as she continues to work with Rover.”

“Julia was great with my 1 year old Goldador Julia was great with 1 yr old Remigus with lots of energy! She went above and beyond on limited space this time with an update to our wood flooring where Remi was not allowed to go on yet... very pleased and will definitely request Julia again!”

“Kayla did a great job dog sitting our three chihuahua mixes. I'm not sure they missed us at all! She sent update reports and photos daily to keep us informed. She was very respectful of our house.”

About: Hi! I grew up in a family that always had a house full of pets, so caring for animals became a natural part of my life from a young age. My goal is for both you and your pets to have complete peace of mind! I’m also comfortable caring for pets with different energy levels, including senior pets and pets with special routines or medication needs. My general availability is: • Sunday: Available all day • Wednesday: 8:00–10:00 AM & 5:00 PM onward • Thursday: Available all day • Friday: 8:00–11:00 AM If you need care outside of these times, feel free to reach out! I’m happy to see if I can make arrangements to fit your pet’s needs. 🐾 Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. “Corey helped take care of our two rascal and rambunctious dogs, Cino and Tofu. He did such a great job and keeping us up to date with exercise, playtime and any issues that might have occurred while we were away. One of our dogs has a minor case of epilepsy and has seizures from time to time due to stress and Corey was professional at handling and managing that for us and our dog. They seemed to love his company and were quite relaxed and happy when we arrived back from our trip. That to us, means they had plenty of stimulation and were in excellent care with someone like Corey.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of October 2026, there are 2,141 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Hollywood. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Hollywood walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Hollywood maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
<b>Tip:</b> Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hollywood choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
