About: I’ve had dogs of my own over the years and have raised them from puppies, so I’m very familiar with all stages of a dog’s life from training and high-energy puppy behavior to the needs of adult and senior dogs. I’ve also personally fostered two daschund dogs for several years while a friend went through a difficult transition, caring for them full-time until she was able to find pet-friendly housing. That experience really deepened my understanding of long-term, committed pet care. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and breeds from larger dogs like Boxers to small breeds like Boston Terriers, Dachshunds, and Yorkies. About: Dogs have been my passion since my earliest memories. When I was a young girl, I was always training my family and friends dogs. I also would take care of my friends dogs when needed. I started to get involved with dog sports around the age of 12. In addition to this, I trained my dog to be a therapy dog. When I was 16 I started to volunteer at the Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley for a few years before going to college. I graduated from the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities with a degree in Communications and a minor in Leadership. Along the way, I took many classes to learn more about animal behavior and psychology. However, once I graduated, I was at a loss of what to pursue. It was during this time when I stumbled into working for Invisible Fence as a dog trainer. I found my true passion of training dogs through this. In addition to this, I read countless books, listened to professional dog trainer podcasts, and watched videos. Now I run my own dog training business called Tator's Training. I have been helping watch my friends' animals over the last 10-15 years, giving me plenty of experience to help with your animal and give them all the pets they want while I'm there! I do have multiple YouTube shows I do each week where I would need to be in my office, but those are around 11 and 6 on both Mondays and Thursdays. I can do most of my work remotely, so I can sit for you by either hanging out during the day or possibly staying the night. I will treat your dogs like I do my own: with care, compassion, and a lot of love. I am a kind hearted soul myself, and often connect very well with dogs. Whether you need them to be walked, on strict rest, get lots of playtime, etc, I will gladly do that for your pup like I do for my own at home.

Every animal has different needs, so I will do my best to figure out what sleeping arrangements make them the most comfortable during their stay (I have kennels of every size so people do not need to bring theirs back and forth unless they prefer to). I’m well versed in methods of calming for pets that might be nervous. I do have a 6 month old infant at home who is very used to dogs, but any pets coming in to my home would need to be safe and comfortable around her.
