“Allysa did a great job watching Jayla while we were away for my daughter’s wedding. I appreciated her communication and photos she sent while we were gone. She was very accommodating with providing the same routine with Jayla that we do when we are home. House was also clean when we returned. Will definitely have her watch Jayla again!”

“My fur babies loved her. She was very knowledgeable, kind, easy to talk to, good energy. Understood and was reassuring of my nervous issues leaving my kiddos at home for the first time in 6 years. Definitely recommend and will be happy to have her house sit or anything with our babies again. Thanks Aphra.”

“Karri was great with our elderly dog while we were gone for a week. She stayed in our home and took care of him like he was her own. She went over and above in taking care of Ben. He has ongoing health issues that can change very quickly and she easily adapted to his needs, gave meds and even completed ear cleanings when needed. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter. We will not hesitate to have Karri stay with Ben again.”

“Emma was such and incredible sitter for our pets. She made it so easy for us to enjoy our vacation without having to worry about our pets. I will most definitely be asking her to pet sit for us again and I highly recommend her.”

About: I've grown up with cats and dogs my entire life and have always loved all kinds of animals—chickens, goats, dogs—you name it! (Yes, I’ve had all of them!) My family currently has three cats: Harry, Thomas, and Luke. We recently said goodbye to our pug, Cooper, after 15 wonderful years. Two Christmases ago, I brought home our current dog, Kyah, for my family. She’s a Great Pyrenees-Anatolian Shepherd mix and my favorite napping partner! I also taught her a few fun tricks—she can turn around, roll over, speak, and, of course, give a good shake. I have experience with animals of all sizes and personalities, and I’d love the chance to care for yours! I'm currently pursuing a bachelors in nursing. My class schedule takes place in the afternoon, and I have no other priorities besides classes and studying. I'm able to go for as many walks as your dog would like, and give endless scratches! They will never be left alone for more than 3.5 hours (at the most). I'm comfortable giving any medications that are needed. I sit for my Aunts two german shepherds who both receive oral medication, as well one of them receiving a specialized raw diet.
“Always timely and informative during visits. Very easy to talk to, easy to trust. I can count on Tanya to show up and make sure my pup is safe and well cared for. She’s extremely respectful of the space and you can tell she really does enjoy being with the pup. My go to for a sitter!”

“Cory was awesome: very communicative and consistent in updates, he let us know whenever he would need to leave the house for a little while (which was also communicated ahead of time), and kept our place clean. Very capable and confident, which is especially needed for one of our dogs who tends to be more reactive. I’m so grateful we went with him and we genuinely look forward to using his services again in the future!”

“McKenna is such a great sitter! She’s reliable and trustworthy, and takes such great care of my girls while I am away. I’ve already booked her for more future housesitting visits. 💕🐾”

“Seth was a fantastic pet sitter. His communication was excellent and prompt, he sent great pics of the pets during our entire trip so I felt confident in their ongoing well-being, and he left the house in amazing shape. He even put up with the fact that our cats have an extremely annoying wake-everyone-up-at-5:00 AM habit ... his patience with our all of our pets' quirks and needs was exceptional. I will book him again!”

“Samantha was terrific with my quirky dog. She learned his vibes and personality quickly and worked well with him. She kept me informed, cleaned up after herself, and I would absolutely hire her again.”

“Our dog loved Jade, and it was his first time being with a new adult. She came and met the dog first and was super punctual and great with our dog. Clearly a pro at this!”

“Cari is absolutely amazing! She is warm and conscientious and took the time to get to know our cat and dog with their various quirks! Great communicator. I did not worry about the pets for the entire trip! Not only was she great with the animals, she took care of the house and even folded laundry/sheets we left in the dryer.”

“Shea stayed at our house and took care of our dogs while we were on a week vacation in Costa Rica. She did a wonderful job. She sent us updates/photos every single day. We came home to a house that was cleaner than how we left it and some happy pups. We 100% will be booking her in the future!”

About: Hi, I’m Izabelle! I’m a dedicated animal lover with a lifetime of experience caring for dogs, including my own dog who has medical needs. This has taught me how to be attentive, patient, and responsible when caring for pets. I’ve also provided pet sitting for family friends and have experience caring for pets with different temperaments and needs. I’m comfortable caring for both cats and dogs of all ages and sizes, and I offer drop-in visits, walks, and overnight stays. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. For the next three months, pet sitting will be my full-time job, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability. After that, my availability will be more limited as I begin paramedic schooling, but I will still be available for pet care, including walks, drop-in visits, and overnight stays. I always follow the pet owner's instructions to keep pets comfortable and maintain their normal routine. I make sure they have fresh water, meals on schedule, exercise, playtime, and plenty of attention. I prioritize safety by keeping a clean environment, monitoring pets closely, and making sure they are secure during walks and visits. I also have experience caring for a dog with medical needs and can provide extra attention when needed. My goal is to make pets feel safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away.
“We needed a last minute sitter for our boys and Michael was the perfect match! He was quick to respond, it was my first time on Rover and he guided me through the process which I appreciate! Through the stay he communicated with us with updates here and there he even sent some pictures and videos. Our boys loved him ! We will definitely book with Micheal again.”

“Autumn was amazing with out 2 English setters- she handled medications wonderfully and gave them so much attention and walks! Our neighbor even commented on how great she was. Look forward to using her again!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 2,462 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Hazelton. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Hazelton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Hazelton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hazelton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hazelton. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
