“Heidi has been great to work with so far working with our 4 pets! I look forward to having her watch them for a week while we are out of town. Can't recommend her enough ?”

About: I treat every pet like family. You’ll get photo and video updates throughout each stay, so you’ll never have to wonder how your pet is doing. I take time to learn your pets quirks and routines and love detailed instructions. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I can provide real attention to your pet. Pets are a natural part of my day! I have a cat at home and we have lots of play time. I work from home full time and like to go on long walks or runs. I have a very flexible schedule, so any time sensitive schedules can easily be set. When pets stay with me I set up a space with their own bed and familiar items. I keep their feeding and potty schedule consistent. In your home, I follow your routines and send updates after each visit. As a pet owner myself, I keep an eye for changes in routine or behavior and I’ll contact you if anything seems off.
About: Hello! My name is Tyler and I've been around animals my entire life. I am very comfortable with dogs and cats, including in my home, as we have a four-year old Frenchie, Odie, and two-year-old Boston Terrier, Marzipan. I am a work-from-home sports journalist who can leave the house, often at specific times, to meet your needs. I also have the flexibility to potentially stay at your home or be there during the day to interact with your animal, as I can work remotely as long as I have internet. I have been helping watch my friends' animals over the last 10-15 years, giving me plenty of experience to help with your animal and give them all the pets they want while I'm there! I am comfortable with doing things like giving medication, putting in a crate, take on walks, etc. Please feel free ot reach out if you have any questions! I am a work from home sports journalist with a very flexible schedule. I do have multiple YouTube shows I do each week where I would need to be in my office, but those are around 11 and 6 on both Mondays and Thursdays. I can do most of my work remotely, so I can sit for you by either hanging out during the day or possibly staying the night. I will treat your dogs like I do my own: with care, compassion, and a lot of love. I am a kind hearted soul myself, and often connect very well with dogs. Whether you need them to be walked, on strict rest, get lots of playtime, etc, I will gladly do that for your pup like I do for my own at home.
About: I have experience taking care of dogs my entire life! I am able to care for large and small dogs alike. Ages ranging from seniors to puppies. I am able to take multiple dogs on walks at a time. I have experience giving oral medication as well! I am available all weekdays and certain weekends- just shoot me a message and I will let you know! I currently have 1 senior cat, 1 young tabby cat, and 1 large dog (Dogo Argentino) that I take care of and love on the daily! I am very respectful of my clients property and belongings. I will always leave the doors locked and follow any further instruction to insure the safety of you and your pets home. I am able to read animals and their behavior to determine how I will greet and care for them. I love walks and can crate when needed!
About: I am a 29 year old who loves working with animals!. I have 11 years of experience working with dogs. I also own one pup of my own, he is a Golden Retriever named Wally. He is very friendly and loves to play with other dogs! I also have two kitties named Watson & Wynnie. If needed, I can do baths and nail trims! I also work part time as a dog trainer, so I am here for anyone who needs any extra tips or wants help with any basic training needs. I usually work 12 til 7pm during the week but have some days off. I can do walks before or after I am off of work! I am very cautious with other people’s pets as I work in a dog facility. About: I've taken care of all types of pets from a very young age. Whether it be a tiny chihuahua to a sizeable Bullmastiff, a cat, birds including chickens, reptiles, fish, even small furry friends like rabbits or ferrets. I have adored and been fascinated by animals my whole life and am up for any challenge you throw at me. I've personally trained my dog to follow voiceless hand signal commands and he is also special needs, so caring for a senior or special needs animal is a breeze for me! I've even provided end of life care for my grandmother's cat, which included administering fluids via injection, so don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it. Not to mention that I have experience raising young kittens and squirrels at milk drinking ages! I am available from 7am to 5pm Monday through Friday and overnights on Fridays and Saturdays. I could possibly do extended overnight stays in my own home if your pet is dog, cat, and young child friendly. Whether it be for a walk, potty break, comfort while you're away, socializing and training your puppy basic commands (and maybe a few tricks), or even just taking your furry friend out for a pup cup and to a sniff spot, I'm the gal for you. I will even provide litter or doggy doo doo cleanup for an additional price. Your pet will always be safe and loved in my hands. I am currently in between jobs, and my kiddos go to daycare from 7am-5pm M-F, so I am available to help between those times, or overnights at your house on Fridays and Saturdays. I could be purr-suaded to do extended overnight stays at my house if your feline is cat, dog, and young child friendly. If I am caring in my home, I have 3 cats-all fixed- a special needs male dog who is NOT fixed due to medical reasons, and two kids under the age of 5. If you choose to keep your pet at my home, they need to be able to get along with them or be kept in a separate room. If you have a female dog, they would need to be fixed with proof of spay. My special needs dog has no business procreating! I have a large home and a decent sized yard with a tie-out cable so that your pet can explore my whole backyard safely without fear of taking off. I also have a screened in porch that I often let the cats roam in during the nicer months. I have a Honda CR-V, so I can keep decently large dogs in the car as well for transport or in case of emergency. If I am caring for your pet in your home, I will cuddle, play, exercise, and feed & water them to their hearts content. I will ask however for an extra fee to pick up any dog poo or clean litter boxes.

About: Hi! I grew up in a family that always had a house full of pets, so caring for animals became a natural part of my life from a young age. I have extensive experience with both house sitting and pet sitting, and I always make sure your home is left clean and your pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I know it can be stressful for pets when their family is away, so I make it a priority to give them plenty of attention, affection, and love while you’re gone. My goal is for both you and your pets to have complete peace of mind! I’m also comfortable caring for pets with different energy levels, including senior pets and pets with special routines or medication needs. I currently work full-time in the jewelry industry, but caring for animals is something I truly enjoy and love incorporating into my routine! My typical work hours are 11:00 AM–7:00 PM, with Thursdays and Sundays off. My general availability is: • Sunday: Available all day • Wednesday: 8:00–10:00 AM & 5:00 PM onward • Thursday: Available all day • Friday: 8:00–11:00 AM If you need care outside of these times, feel free to reach out! I know every pet has their own routine, and I’ll do my best to keep things as normal as possible while you’re away. I’ll follow all care instructions carefully, keep your home clean and secure, and provide regular updates with photos so you can have peace of mind. I treat every pet like they’re my own and strive to create a calm, loving environment until you’re home again.

Baba gets fed once a day with a healthy balance of veggies, fruits, seeds, and original food. I clean his cage every 1 to 2 weeks depending how it looks and/or if it stinks, and finally I regularly take him out of his cage to pet him and let him run around in his ball! George and Baba get along haha! Plus a new member being Chunk a little lab puppy!
About: There’s something about a dog’s loyalty, personality, and the way they become such an important part of our lives that I’ve always cherished. My love for dogs began at a very young age; at just six years old, I had a Poodle of my own and was already learning the responsibility and joy of caring for a dog. Throughout my life, I’ve proudly had dogs of my own and cared for friends’ and family members’ dogs while they were away. We recently lost our beloved German Shepherd/Husky to old age, and although his loss was difficult, it reminded me how much joy dogs bring into our lives. I would love the opportunity to share that extra love and attention with another amazing dog while their family is away. I’m a lifelong dog lover with more than two decades of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments, ranging from 2 to 165 pounds. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique personality, quirks, routines, and preferences and tailoring my care to help them feel safe, comfortable, and at home. I care for every dog as if they were my own, providing plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, affection, and walks when weather permits and with the owner’s approval. My 60-by-55-foot fully fenced yard provides plenty of space to play, explore, and enjoy multiple potty breaks throughout the day. I also work from home with a flexible schedule, allowing me to be present and attentive to my furry guests. Whether your pup loves cuddles or prefers personal space, I’m happy to follow their lead and respect their individual needs. With experience caring for dogs who are anxious, fearful, reactive, or more challenging to handle, I’ve developed strong observational skills and can recognize signs of stress, discomfort, illness, or injury. I’m also comfortable administering medications, following specific care instructions and routines, and providing basic first aid when needed. Most importantly, I love spoiling my furry guests because, in my opinion, they’re on vacation too! 🐾 You’re welcome to bring their regular food, treats, favorite toys, bed, blanket, or other comfort items to help make their stay familiar and special. I’m dependable in all weather conditions and always prioritize the safety, health, and comfort of every guest. If my calendar shows that I’m unavailable, please feel free to reach out anyway. I’m flexible whenever possible and happy to see if we can find a time that works. I look forward to meeting you and welcoming your furry family member into our home! ****** ******** ***** I’m proud to share that I’ve had the opportunity to volunteer with Can Do Canines and regularly participate in dog-related events. These experiences have been incredibly rewarding, and I’m grateful to be able to contribute to the care, training, and support of these remarkable dogs as they prepare to change lives. I have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to be readily available and provide pets with plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day. I also have a fully fenced-in yard, which is ideal for multiple potty breaks, outdoor playtime, and exercise throughout the day. Caring for a pet comes down to consistently meeting their physical, emotional, and health needs. The exact details vary depending on the animal, of course! -I have a 60-by-55-foot fully fenced yard and pet gates in the house (if needed); -I love to go for walks with pets; -I love to cuddle and play with pets if that’s what they are into; -I feed them a balanced diet per owners’ instructions. Fresh water is always available. -I’d love to comb them if tools are provided from owners; -I provide lots of daily update pictures and/or videos; -And would be open to any reasonable requests owners might have.
About: I've taken care of dogs since I was 13 years old. They have always been in my house from small to large dogs. I used to help family and friends out with making sure their dogs felt lots of love while they were away. I love taking dogs for walks and cuddling on the couch, just making sure they have whatever they need. I am currently working full-time typically from 9-5. I work very close to home and can run home to take pups out for a potty break on lunch if needed. Otherwise I am home after work the entire time so I can take them for walks and spend time getting their energy out! The best time for pick up would be weekends or after I'm off from work. I will take them for walks in the morning and night. They will spend time with just me while I am home. They won't be brought anywhere that you suggest they don't go. It is just me and your dog.
“Ciboney is kind, respectful, and reliable. Kept me updated and made me feel like my pets were in good hands. I highly recommend her and will be booking her in the future.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
