“Nolan was wonderful! She made sure my dogs had exercise before the heat set in and was truthworthy with access to the home without someone being there. Truly appreciate her and will hire her again!”

“Ashley was absolutely amazing with our dog. Patient, loving and active with Pips it went wonderful. Highly communicative, frequent pictures and she took Pip out multiple times during the day. Highly trustworthy and we can’t wait to have her again in August. Pips is thankful for you, in her own little ways!”

“Malia has been fantastic with our nervous shepherd, Selkie. I am very cautious about who I leave her with and Malia handled her fabulously, made sure she had the best time and keep us updated with photos the whole time we were away. It was super reassuring and so happy she could take care of her both times we have been away. Highly recommend and will 100% be calling upon her to pet sit for us in the future!”

“Sarah was phenomenal with our 2 dogs. She was attentive to their needs and communicated to me on a regular basis. She took initiative in grooming and exercise needs. I highly recommend Sarah!”

“Christina was so wonderful! She stayed in our home for a full week and took great care of our dog. She reached out with pictures and updates and left our house exactly how she found it if not cleaner! We really appreciate it”

About: Hi, I'm Paislee! 🐾 I've been caring for animals for over 4 years and truly love getting to know each pet's unique personality. I have hands-on experience with dogs, cats, horses, goats, alpacas, donkeys, and more. I've worked as a kennel technician and dog groomer, where I cared for pets of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having a calm companion nearby, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you're away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I'm dependable, patient, and committed to providing updates and photos throughout your pet's stay or visit so you can have peace of mind. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend! I can also offer baths and nail trims for an upcharge just ask when you book!! 🤍 This is my only job currently so I will have plenty of time to play with your fur babies and make sure they are well taken care of! I am available Monday-Saturday! I will always make sure your baby has food and water and plenty of play time. I will send updates and pictures to ensure you see your baby is well taken care of!
“Christie was excellent. My puppies loved her. While we were away, she sent me pics of the puppies every day doing something in their normal daily routine. She took them for walkies, which cemented her and their relationship because it is one of their favorite activities which we told her was optional because they get super excited and is like walking a team of pulling sled dogs. She handled it with ease. When we returned home after the "happy to see you" reunion, the puppies were calm, full of tail wags, and going back to Christie to be petted and loved on. Christie also watered my garden for me while we were gone. She is very neat and tidy and the house was exactly mirror to when we left the week before. Our puppies have limited access to other people so they are suspicious of all new people they encounter, Christie won our dogs over with ease because she has a very gentle, kind, and genuinely caring nature as person. If you want worry free pet care and house sitting you should contact Christie.”

“Aunya watched my dog for me while I was out of town. My dog is an anxious rescue, and Aunya did so well with her! I’m glad I could have someone trustworthy and reliable to care for my fur baby.”

“Meghan was amazing. She took on sitting Smoke very last minute and did not disappoint. Smoke is special needs pit bull and needs special person to care for him in my absence. I did not have to worry about his care while I was out of state! She sent a lot of pics and videos. Meghan exceeded expectations and I will use her again if she is available.”

“Savannah is absolutely fantastic! My 4 month old Schnauzer “Cosmosis” is an extrovert and loves everyone, but he ABSOLUTELY adored Savannah. She is a genuine good soul - and he LOVED her to pieces. I have never seen him act that way so quickly before. We will absolutely use her again. Very trustworthy.”

“Meagan was great! She stayed in our home with our 3 dogs & 1 cat for a week—the animals were rarely left alone & the house was just as we left it. We can’t wait for our next trip now that we’ve found Meagan!”

“Emely was wonderful, I would trust her with my dog any time. I loved getting the updates and photos of Lola, and knowing she was in good hands. Very happy with the care Emely provided and would definitely recommend her.”

“This is the first time I've ever needed to hire a pet sitter for my senior cat, so I was very nervous about having a stranger in my home and how my fur baby would react. However, Jennifer eased my mind about the whole process. She was understanding and communicative, which was greatly appreciated. This was just an an overnight trip, but she will be taking care of him again soon when I'll be gone longer. It's such a relief to know I can get some R&R knowing that my pet and my home are in good hands. ?”

About: I have had dogs since I was a teen and absolutely love them. I have had German shepherds, a Labrador retriever, and currently we have an AWESOME, loving Cane Corso. We are an active family, whether it be playing tag or taking a walk in our neighborhood we love it. I will be available mornings until 7 a.m. evenings beginning at 4 p.m. and weekends at anytime. My husband calls me the dog whisperer when it comes to our Corso, I call it love and discipline :). Pets will feel at peace in my care. I have left my dog places only to return and feel guilty that I left her because of the sadness in her eyes. I would like to help you as well as your pet feel comfortable and enjoy the time away that you need.

About: I am comfortable dealing with all sizes and personalities of dogs and cats. I've always had pets throughout my life from Newfoundlands to kittens. Im currently working part time to pay for my expenses. More than enough time to keep the fur babies very happy. I prefer mornings but can be flexible. Babysitting the doggo is no issue for me. I have enough experience to know what to expect. Can't do it at my domicile though.
“We are so happy that we found Wendi! She took amazing care of our pups while we were out of town; we felt totally comfortable because we knew they were in good hands. Wendi sent photos and videos in addition to messages about how our dogs were doing. She even fed one of our (anxious) pups by hand AND fixed rice and veggies for him when he wasn’t eating enough. Our whole family loves her and we will for sure book her again!”

About: I have been a pet owner since I was 14 years old. Family members have also allowed me to pet sit their fur babies with regular walks, feedings, and required medication needs. I have two senior dogs myself and understand the dynamics of the extra care and needs they require. I am currently seeking a career change for something that brings me joy, which is ofcourse fur babies. I am willing to discuss any clients times/days that work for both of our needs With effective communication of your pups needs I can provide a safe and happy environment while you are away. This can vary from food, medications, walks, temperament concerns, and etc.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Hobbs Island walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Hobbs Island maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hobbs Island choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hobbs Island. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
