About: I was blessed to grow up with a pet centered household. I truly function better with multiple personalities in my home! Over the course of my childhood I had 7 cats, 3 dogs, a bunny, fish, and a pet bird. In the past 5 years that I’ve been pet sitting I have taken care of dogs, cats, bunnies, goats, chicken, geese, fish, a bearded dragon, and a donkey. I am always willing to learn more about animals that I am unfamiliar with, and I welcome the challenges that they may bring! I currently work part time, baking donuts every Saturday morning, but after noon I am free. The rest of the week I am either taking care of my own pets or someone else’s. Reach out and we can set up a schedule! At this time I cannot offer in home boarding since I live in a small apartment and I will not take the risk of stressing out my, or your animals. What I can provide is top notch care in your home. I am willing to take dogs on hikes or to the vet. By sticking to the routine that you’ve set for your pets, I will minimize the stress they might have from being away from their owner.

About: I grew up with Golden Retrievers, I always knew I had a passion for dogs and animals alike. In my adult life I have owned 4 different breeds, I consider myself highly experienced with senior dogs as well as puppies; currently having my own 15 year old dog whom is thriving. I have 4.5 years of experience in the boarding industry where I furthered my passion and knowledge of breeds, dog body language, training and also have grooming experience. I completed the introduction to training course by the Karen Pryor Academy. I have worked with dogs in post op condition and am comfortable administering medications. I am also currently pursuing my AS in animal science to become a Veterinary Technician. I currently have availability Monday-Wednesday but this is subject to change. I would love to form a relationship with your pet and add them in for more time! Depending on your home I will do as you ask, if you have a fenced in yard great! If not leash walks can be so beneficial for your pet and equally as enriching and beneficial as an off leash walk.

“Andrea was very warm and the cats liked her immediately. She also made us very comfortable with leaving out cats and home in her care. Will definitely book again.”

“Dakota is a lovely and attentive caregiver. My older lady cat needs a daily visit and Dakota was thoughtful and great in her communication. Odie was much more happy and relaxed when I returned. Will definitely work with Dakota again!”

About: Hello! I'm the proud owner of two very friendly Catahoula-mixes who are always excited for some more canine company if you need somewhere to board your dog. For those with very energetic dogs, in addition to the standard 30-minute walks I also offer 60-minute runs/hikes for those who are located near to any outdoor trails. (I run marathons so I'm always glad for some four-legged company). I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I'm based in Spencertown but I'm originally from England where I also walked dogs - I'm that rare breed of international dog carer! Please note, for those looking to board at my home, I live in the woods on 16 acres. Due to the geography of our property we have no fenced in area - we just don't need one. We have 20 free range birds, a free-range pet pig and our two dogs - a lack of fence has never been a problem. Understandably though, for some owners and some dogs this setup is not a good fit. If you have any questions at all about any of my services, then please don't hesitate to get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you. I work from home and have a flexible schedule. “Abigail was the perfect cat sitter. I was so nervous leaving my cats for so long but it turns out, I didn't have to worry at all. She came for a meet and greet, learned all their names, and followed every instruction during the entire two week period. I needed twice a day drop ins for one hour each. She stayed for the entire hour, played with the cats, fed them, pet them, cleaned food bowls, replaced water bowls and cleaned their litter. She took pictures of them every time and by the end, my cats were so comfortable with her. I would hundred percent recommend her if you want a sweet, caring sitter who you can rely on.”

About: Animals are the best friends in our lives and deserve attentive care and respect, as well as an active life of curiosity and steady love! I am available this summer pretty much all the time. Those days when I am not available will not be on my schedule thank you! At my house we have four acres to run around on and a long private road with very little traffic where we can explore together (with a leash). There is a lot of fresh air and fun natural smells coming up from the woods to investigate!

About: Hello! I've been an animal lover my entire life. My dog, Zeke and I had a companion kind of relationship, built on mutual respect and happiness; it's something I wouldn't have traded for the world. He sadly passed away in October after 12 years together, so it would be an understatement to say I'm more than happy to pour extra love to your pup. ___________________________________________________________________________ This is a new offering as of August 2024. I have discovered that adventures are my ideal experiences and would like to advertise as such! Mountain hikes, kayak paddles (>15 pounds), and bike cart rides for the senior pups are my favorites, but I am open to other ideas/training requests! Paddleboarding, swimming lessons...the possibilities are endless. One hour minimum is preferred; gas and travel time to the adventure site are included. I have many mountains, lakes and trails on my list, so I do not see it as fair to charge you for that time! You will only be charged for adventure time. Depending on your pup(s) comfortability in the car, we may travel up to 45 minutes. You and I will decide together on location details, and this app will track where your pup(s) and I are at all times. Wilderness First Aid trained, canine safety versed, ample water provided, and pups will always be kept safely on the leash. Your pup will return home satisfied and tired! ____________________________________________________________________________ For a NORMAL NEIGHBORHOOD WALK, please book a drop-in visit and message to remind me that you would like a walk. Availability for walks and drop-ins will change after Labor Day. Unavailable most weekdays 12-3:30 I am a caretaker by nature, and have been a teacher for the past 4years, a live in nanny before that and most recently a grade school teacher. I'm going back to school to get my licensure. Honestly, care taking and fresh air gives me clarity of mind, and the chance to peel away from the screen helps process all the new information! I am trying to practice running again too, if your canine would like to train with me. Familiar with many local trails and parks. All weather is good weather! Experience with dogs with seizures and giving various medications. Feline friend as well. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry friends ! I am working at a school 12-3:30, and going to school online. I recently moved my senior dog up here, but I am missing all the adventures we used to go on! Caring for your pets gives me the chance to go where he can't. I do not offer boarding. When I am in your home, I try to leave it better than I found it. I have spent a fair amount of time farming and gardening, so plants will be well cared for if asked.

About: I spent 3 months last fall volunteering at a dog shelter (5 days a week, 4 hours a day), I’ve worked many dog and cat sitting jobs, and I’ve had my rescue dog Artie for 14 years. I have experience with puppies and rescue dogs. I’m currently taking a gap year and staying home for the next couple of months. My schedule is fairly flexible at the moment, trying to pick up whatever jobs I can! I can follow instructions to care for your pets in your home how you want me to. I’m more than happy to take them for walks, play with them, feed them (including any medications) and give them lots of love!

“Sophie managed her dog Blue & cat Zdugar Ray very well. I left her lots of notes. k she was diligent about all of them- even playing with him with the boring stick toy he lives. I rarely need sitters, it had an emergency doctor's appointment in NYC.”

“Makayla is so sweet with our dog - making sure he's having fun and getting all his needs met. She is timely and an excellent communicator which gives us great peace of mind. We highly recommend her!”

About: I have had pets throughout my life, and my deep love for animals is what makes me a great pet sitter. Regardless of the creature, I will love your animal and will provide the best care possible. I am infinitely playful and loving. I’m currently a stay at home mom and have a very flexible schedule. I have a lot of freedom while my children are at school between 7-3 and after 4:30 when my husband returns home from work. We have a very sweet miniature Dachshund who LOVES playing with other dogs. I do not have a fenced in yard and will take your pup for walks to ensure he/she is getting exercise. Our Dachshund can play with your dog inside, and can either accompany your dog on a walk or can stay behind while I walk your pup.

“Alister and I have been dog-walking together for years. And when I am away on holidays, he is always the one who looks after my Border Collie, Zeb. Being a Collie, Zeb needs lots of walks each day to keep him fit and healthy. Alister is one of the most chilled dudes ever with the patience of a saint to keep throwing Zeb's ball even when *surely* after an hour the game must be boring for Zeb by now! He's also great at keeping in touch, sending me little pics of Zeb via WhatsApp when I am away which is great for me and just keeping a check on my house too which is super helpful and gives me peace of mind.”
