“Molly takes great care of my pups when I’m at work during the day and was even able to help me out on short notice! Definitely will book again. Thank you Molly!”

“Baylor is FANTASTIC! She connected with my dog immediately. She is dependable & kind. I have no worries at work because I know Baylor is caring for my dog!”

“Jenna is sweet and patient. It was such a relief to know Tucker would be taken care of when we couldn’t be home. She walked him and sent a nice update with photos.”

“Ashton was absolutely fantastic with our young dog, Ellie. It is clear that she adores dogs and will treat all furbabies with as much love and care as she does her own. Ellie became a little under the weather (through no fault of Ashton’s) and Ashton went above and beyond to make sure she was safe and feeling like herself again. What could’ve been a bigger issue was under control very quickly due to Ashton’s care and attention. We were so thankful Ashton was there to help and felt so much better knowing Ellie was in such capable hands. We would absolutely love to work with Ashton again and cannot recommend her enough!”

About: I absolutely love dogs and cats. My boyfriend and I just adopted a kitten in September and I help my best friend take care of her dog all the time, feeding him, walking him, going on runs with him and loving him! I grew up with two cats at my family home that I love so much and I really just love all animals so much. I would be luck to have the opportunity to care for and spend time with your dog or cat and am always reliable. I hope you chose me to care for you pets :) I work full time but am fully remote and often have a lot of free time and flexibility in my days making me pretty much available at any time! I live in a two bedroom apartment in downtown Wilmington with my boyfriend and have recently adopted a kitten. I am very clean and will treat your space as my own, which means it’ll be kept just the way you had it or better!

About: I love getting to know each dog’s personality, quirks, and needs! I have a high energy rescue dog (border collie/australian shepherd). She has helped me learn so much about mental stimulation and caring for a dog’s individual emotional needs. I prioritize enrichment activities, walks, play time, and mental stimulation during my time with your pup. I promise to take care of your dog as I would my own ❤️ I will do whatever I can to help them feel safe, comfortable, happy, and loved! I work part time, so I have a very flexible schedule! Also, my work is mainly remote, so I am able to be present with your pup throughout your time away from them. I have a fenced in yard, and I always stay with dogs when I take them to the yard to make sure they are safe :) I have a friendly dog who would be happy to keep your dog company (or I can keep her in a separate space if that is better for your dog). I keep a safe, clean, and peaceful environment for any dogs boarding in my home. If I come to your home, I make extra effort to respect your space, be mindful not to track in dirt, and follow all instructions closely.

About: I have enjoyed taking care of our household pets since I was young. I have experience walking and working with dogs of various sizes. I’ve worked as a volunteer animal handler for Eagle's Den Animal Haven & Rescue, where I worked with puppies and abused animals to get them socialized, leash trained, and comfortable with people. I also have experience doing long-distance animal transport through volunteer work with Wheels4Paws and a job with New Start Animal Transport. Through all of this, I have found a passion for working with animals and I look forward to meeting you and your pup. I'm currently working part-time in the evenings. My normal start time for that job is 5:30pm. So, I'm available most days from 8:00am to 4:00pm, and late evenings after work when house/pet sitting. I try to maintain the same kind of care and routine that you have gotten your pet accustomed to. This includes sleeping arrangements, diet, feeding times, play times, and walks.

“Sophia was great! She took our dog on a great walk and she sent me pictures! I love it! Thank you again Sophia! I would highly recommend her.”

I always look forward to seeing the Rover Card she fills out after walking my dog. I can tell from the pictures she sends that my dog has a great time with her! I'm so glad I found her on Rover and highly recommend her!”

“We highly recommend Lauren for all of your dog’s care needs! Our golden doodle throughly enjoys when Lauren comes to visit, walk and play! Undoubtedly, playtime is her favorite and the pictures speak volumes of fun!”

About: My family has been breeding dashounds since I was young so I’ve got experience nursing animals back to health, some including: baby squirrels, goats and a pig! I’ve also had experience breeding Persian kittens/blue tick coon dogs and nursed them since birth! I’ve worked on farms with horses, donkeys and turkeys, I’m well experienced with farm animals as well as reptiles. I’ve owned snakes, bearded dragons and spiders! I also have done volunteer work at my vet, whose a friend that I have on call just in case, if any accidents were to ever happen! Your animals are always safe and happy with me :) I do not watch different sitters animals together even if there friendly, I’ve just realized that animals can already be a little stressed out in a different environment and having to meet a stranger animal at the same time as having to deal with trusting me as a stranger just seems to stressful; so I don’t book multiples. I love snuggles so dogs on the beds and couches are fine with me! I have a teenage daughter who plays softball and loves to play with pups in the backyard, she’s figured out how to use them for her benefit by having them retrieve the balls for her while she’s practicing! We also have a park close by that I could take them to if they aren’t satisfied with the backyard. I treat all animals like they are my own and might overload you with pictures and videos of there time with me! Also, please let me know if any dogs ever have allergies because I’ve learned to earn most animals trust with treats! (I make my own organic treats usually mixing a blend of the extracts from juicing of celery, carrots, beets and sometimes fresh deer meat)! I have always had a passion for animals, I have a lot of experience fostering pets so I know how to make an uncomfortable doggy super comfortable. I am home full time except twice a week for an hour and a half at softball practice, but if the animals I’m babysitting are friendly they get to come along for the ride and get lots of petting sessions. I also have experience training duck dogs and deer dogs and can maybe teach them a few tricks while there here. No matter big or small I love to treat pets like babies, they are so dependent on people that it’s up to us as humans to give them the best care! I’ve also got experience grooming so if you ever need there nails trimmed up or a good bath/brush out just let me know and I’ll take care of it! I work remote and going to school for nursing so I am open/home almost any time and day! I can do overnight sitting as well as day time house visits! I love having them at my house but it’s no issue if there more comfortable in there own environment I live in castle hayne with a fenced in backyard and plenty of land and room for animals to play and exercise! I also have a horse ferrier and close vet friend who are always one call away with any medicines or help I need! I go bike riding and walking so it’s never an issue to bring any animals with me if they need to be walked or get some energy out! I do not mind pets on the couch either! If needed I also am very experienced with grooming and have all the tools and necessities needed, just give me a heads up and it’s no problem to trim nails or have bath times!

About: Dogs and cats deserve the best of care when you're away. I have a home centered around my pets, with a fenced backyard and a deep porch. Water is always available, meal times are regular, and we take time for romps in the park and a good nap or two. I've worked in catering for over 40 years, and I'm done. I want to play more, and my dogs (Handsome and Billie) agree! I am walking and transporting dogs exclusively. I have 2 dogs, friendly Labs, and a long-haired coon cat named Athena. Everything centers on them. I have a comfortable home, a fenced back yard, and easy access to parks and trails. I don't rush walks, and make sure to give dogs lots of time to run. No morning is complete without a ritual belly rub for my cat.

“Once again, she did a fantastic job. She walks my dog and even when my family goes to walk him our cat Willow hides from everyone. Only one time from her and Willow was cuddling on her lap! It was a comforting sign🖤 Cash was beautifully taken care of and we were very happy!”

About: I’ve always loved pets, I personally have two cats. My babies names are S’mores and Blaze! But I love dogs as well. I grew up always having dogs. I work from home and have open availability as well so my schedule is pretty loose through out the day. I am just a call away! In my home I have two energetic cats that also love to cuddle. I love cuddling with animals and running around and hanging out with them. My animals are my best friends.

About: We are passionate animal lovers with years of experience caring for dogs of all shapes and sizes. We understand just how important your furry family member is to you. That's because we've been there ourselves. After losing our own beloved dogs last year, we decided to open our home to other dogs in need of love and care. Our home is the perfect place for your furry family member to feel comfortable and at ease, while you're on vacation, at work, or away for any reason. We offer various services to meet your pup's needs, including feeding, walking, playing, and administering medication if necessary. In addition, we have a spacious and secure backyard for plenty of playtime and exercise, and we'll ensure your pup gets plenty of love and attention throughout the day. We understand that leaving your beloved pet with strangers can be stressful, which is why we make communication a top priority. We'll provide regular updates and photos of your dog's stay, so you can rest assured that they're happy and well cared for. We know that some dogs can become stressed or anxious when in the company of other dogs, so we provide a stress-free environment for your pet. We can provide an environment with no other dogs around. Your pet will feel safe and secure in our home. If you have a socialite of a pup, they can come along for our walks, beach trips, or even playdates with friendly neighbor dogs. Schedule a time for us to meet. This allows us to tailor our care to your pet's unique needs and preferences. We'll take the time to get to know your furry friend, their personality, and their habits, so we can provide the best possible care and attention. I work from home so we can accommodate your dogs schedule and provide extra attention. We often do beach or river walks in the evening is the weather permits. If you pet has anxiety or needs extra care, we are accommodating and understanding. We will do whatever we can to limits fears and make them comfortable. We have played special music that calms our pet visitor to only vacuuming while the pet visitor is on walk.

About: Hi I’m Katie! Just a little about me is that I am a fun, animal loving, outgoing person. I have 3 pets of my own that are my whole world, my sheltie Bajie and my 2 cats, Persephone and Apollo. I love taking Bajie for walks everyday through my neighborhood and also playing fetch and tug of war in my backyard with him. I would be absolutely delighted to take care of your fur babies for you. I work full time from home so I am home basically 24/7, which would allow me to give your pet all of the attention they need! I used to regularly walk dogs as a part-time personal business but stopped for a while due to a busy schedule. However, I am now happy to say that I have A LOT more free time to do what I love, which would be caring for animals. I have worked previously at doggie daycares in the past and have had experience with all kinds of pets of different sizes, breeds, and ages. I have plenty of personal experience with cats as well, given that I grew up with cats and also own 2 of them. Both of my cats are neutered/spayed, very sweet, and well behaved. Again, I am always more than happy to take care of your animals. If interested just go ahead and shoot me a message. I’m super excited to hear from you! 😊 I currently work from home so I am available to spend time and keep your pet company all day long and walk them/take them out as needed :) I can bring my work with my so I don’t have to leave your pet alone if I’m sitting them and I will be able to take them out multiple times a day. Also have a dog of my own that is super friendly and would love to play if you board with me.

About: Your pets’ safety and comfortability is my number one concern! I have experience with pets’ of all ages and can adapt easily to their specific routines and personalities. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member(s)! I am currently working a few part-time jobs and have tons of open availability throughout the week! Whether it’s a quick check-in or an overnight sit, I’m your sitter! Although I currently don’t have any pets of my own; my style of care consists of attentive, personal, and comfortable care for your animal(s)! I value effective communication and clear instructions on your specific routines for your pets. Thank you!

About: I want to be a veterinarian, I’ve known that since I was a little girl. I am available whenever needed throughout the week. I’m more than happy to spend the night with your dog(s). I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my entire life and love meeting and playing with new furry friends. If given the chance to care for your pet I will treat them like one of my own. To me and my family dogs and cats aren’t just pets, they’re family, and I’d love to add more to it. I am a full-time manager at one of the local fast food restaurants. My schedule varies, but it’s very flexible to meet your pets needs. Besides sticking into the schedule given to me I will usually do whatever your pet asks me to do as long as they’re within your parameters. I’ve had some very demanding clients in the past so having a strong willed pet is not new to me.

She is always timely with her visits to care for them and attentive to their needs whether it is to take them for walks, feed them, or just give them extra pets while we are out. Katherine B.
“When my husband and I lived in Winston Salem we lived a few houses away from Katie and her family. So when we got a puppy from my coworker, an adorable long hair Chihuahua we named Gizmo, Katie used to come over to play daily. When we go out of town and Giz couldn't go we would get Katie to take care of him and the house. My husband tried to pay her but she wouldn't take it. She loved Giz as much we did. He loved her too. After we moved and would go back to visit family we would always see Katie and Gizmo would run to greet her and climb all over and lick her face. He loved her so much. Gizmo died this year at the age of 12 and when I called Katie to tell her, we cried together. Katie will always be family because of Gizmo. She has a heart for animals & that bonded us like family. Katie would make any dog a great friend and treat them like family.”

Alyssa B.
“Alyssa has helped walk feed and stay overnight with my pug Phoebe for a little over eight years and is always very caring and attentive. She has a very calm aura and is very nurturing!”

“Brittany is an outstanding caretaker for my pets. I have 3 Dogs and 1 Cat I think of as my children so it was very important to me to find someone trustworthy and capable of being there for there every need but Brittany exceeded my expectations. Everytime she comes my dogs go crazy with joy and very sad when she leaves. This is the person you want taking care of your most treasured family member/s. Thank you Brittany!”

Hightsville dog parents share their Rover experiences
Very smooth first walk with my pups! I love the pictures of Munchie rolling in the grass - his primary desire on his afternoon walk. Thank you for being so responsive for my last minute request!

Jessica does an amazing job with my dobie/shepard mutt. I have used her numerous times for walks when I have aAl long day at work and would highly recommend! I recently moved and it has been 6+ months since the last time she came for a walk and Jessica took extra time to get my dog to warm up and be comfortable (she can be shy) and sent lots of pics and updates.

Our Diesel came home panting and happy. He's an odd one so we are very happy we found someone who can handle his quirks. Thank you!
